Our rugrats have been keeping us busy, and we do apologize for the delay, but we think this next tavern has a twist you'll love.

The Bull & The Bear:
The favorite post-show hang-out of the local theatre crowd is The Bull & The Bear, a comfortable tavern, complete with a discrete brothel. The drinks are cold, the food is delicious, the staff are attractive, and like all of our taverns, there are hooks for GMs to develop into mini quests, side tangents or just good old fashioned role-playing if your PCs are craving a change of pace.
After a long trek on the road, or days traipsing through dungeons and caves, or near-death experiences with an organized band of goblins, sometimes your players just want a little comfort, a little relaxation, and some good company.

Tuffy's Good Time Palace:
Why would the PCs visit a derelict tavern where drinks are terrible, the food is limited to the pickled variety, and not a soul would bat an eye at stealing their coin purse?  Perhaps it is the only one in town, perhaps the PCs offended a server or owner of a more reputable establishment and are no longer welcome, maybe they need to get their hands on something only the city's criminal element can get for them, or maybe they fancy themselves the city's criminal element. There could also be the slim chance they like bad beer and pickles. Regardless of the reason, we think every GM will enjoy giving their players an evening they won't forget at Tuffy's Good Time Palace.

Trio of Taverns:

This book also includes “More Faces at the Tavern”, a section with several colourful NPCs including “Dizzy Izzy” the not so loveable grifter, Sir Kristoff Ingram Packard, the delusional aristocrat and man about town, and the freakishly chipper, future sausage eating champion, Daledalae. The NPCs are at a variety of levels and are ready to be dropped into any of our taverns, or yours, for a little added role-playing.

Keep your eyes peeled... The next Tangible Tavern is going to be a whole lot of fun!

One thing I haven't done is send out review copies to all featured reviewers on OBS. The only person who gets an automatic copy is Thilo (endzeitgeist).

As for the second part of that... I'm scared to give Endzeitgeist a copy for review. I'm scared even knowing he has been reading my posts.

As for all the reviewers out there who do write their promised reviews (even if it is just at some point - I get we all have real life obligations as well), any time you'd like to review one of our taverns, let me know!

I have to imagine the "reviewers" who constantly don't deliver their reviews get noted by 3PPs and stop getting their "review" copies at some point. That's sort of our plan. (Now I sound like I'm black-listing people... isn't that terrible? I just mean if someone is always asking for a review copy and never writes a review, publishers must catch on at some point.)

We (dire rugrat publishing) aren't doing any real "crunch" stuff, just trying to make a GM's job easier with the "fluff" through our tavern series "Tangible Taverns".
We'll keep trying to hit that #4: Makes Being a GM Easier with our pre-made (and hopefully interesting) NPCs, rumour and event tables and tavern descriptions.

I'm really excited to hear I can still do something with it if it gets picked up. I understand Wayfinder still can too, but it's nice that it isn't exclusively Wayfinder content if it gets picked up. I'm even more excited now! Submission on its way!

Of course, I doubt my first try will be a success, but natural 20's happen sometimes, right?

It'll be awhile before we get to the compilation just because we want around ten taverns before we do that and it's slow going, but yes, we are hoping for an upswing with that, we just don't want to go big and jump to that if there isn't an interest in the taverns. I'm sure any 3PP can attest it is a lot of work and a labor of love. Fingers crossed for our third release and thanks again for all your support and kind words, Lorathorn!

I love this. I can't wait until our little rugrats are a bit bigger. Right now they have little/no attention span (and the youngest one puts everything in her mouth), but I would love to get them into gaming. The oldest one says things like "In Pathfinder...." and has his own dice he likes to play with, and it makes my heart sing. He just doesn't want to do anything yet. A few more years and I'll be all over this....
