I finally found the name of the Cardiologist Dr. Moore is sending me to. In case you want to look him up honey, it's Joseph Hackler. He works out of the big Baptist Hospital, and he graduated from UAMS, but Dr. Moore seems to have a lot of faith in him, so I'll give him a try. Hopefully they call me soon, and don't try to put me off till next year.

I'll try to get back to this soon. I just haven't been feeling up to it, and haven't had time to think about it with all the appointments I've been having. PT, Rheumatologist this morning, foot Dr tomorrow afternoon....can't wait to see what genius thing he comes up with about my foot next, PT again on Thursday. Then 3 appointments next week, one of them being at a holistic health center, I'm desperate and Kaylie said they really helped her, and somewhere in all this mess I need to find time to make an appointment with this Cardiologist that Dr. Moore wants me to see and try to figure out what's going on with my heart. So, there's just been too much going on in my head and with my body to give much attention to other things right now. I'm not trying to ignore things, I just don't have room for anything else in my brain right now and I can't think. I'm also losing my insurance at the end of the year, and Henry is having to add me to his insurance which is gonna be taking a huge chunk out of his check, and it's all my fault cuz I haven't been able to come back to work full time yet.....not like my body is making it easy on me or anything. I'm just stressed out over everything going on right now, and it's making it hard for me to think about stuff in the game right now. I'll try to get it together and hopefully be able to post something by sometime this weekend. Sorry for the delay.

Once everyone is down, and they've separated and stored the lengths of rope, Kelda goes over to where the water is and tries to figure out the best place to cross.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda takes the extra length of rope and ties it to the other one, "Okay, that should do it." She says, testing the rope that she secured by tugging on it. Going to the ledge, she prepares to climb down. Kelda looks around at her companions, "I'll go down first, then the rest of you follow one at a time. Once everyone is down, Basil will toss down the rope before climbing down himself. Just take your time and be careful." With one final look at her love, Kelda starts climbing down the rope. Climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda nods and secures the rope around one of the stalagmites, "Alright, that sounds like a plan to me. I don't know about everyone else, but I never was that great at climbing, so I will definitely use the rope. I think one rope will be long enough. Do you think that's long enough?." She asks of her companions, wanting a second opinion of whether or not they should tie another rope to this one or not.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda looks down into the darkness, "I'm not sure how far down that is, but I've got fifty feet of rope. I just don't have a grappling hook, or anything else to secure it to. If we can find something to tie it to, it could help us get down a little more safely." She postulates out loud, trying to think of the safest way to get down as she tries to determine how far it is to the bottom. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
I'm just going to say that climbing is not one of my strengths. I don't even know if we have any climbing gear. Kelda looks down into the inky darkness with trepidation, "Well, it's not my first choice, but I don't know how many we actually have. Does anyone have any ideas?" She asks, unsure of how to proceed at this point.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda nods, "That sounds like a good idea, and prlobably safer as well. Let's head downstream then and see how things look. I just hope it isn't too deep." Never having been the most agile person, the thought of crossing a river made her slightly nervous. Taking Lysithia's hand, Kelda then starts following the river downstream with the others right behind them.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Henry said the river is moving really fast, like rapids almost. Kelda looks from the rushing water of the river to Lysithia and the others, "I don't think trying to swim across would be a good idea with the water moving that quickly. Besides, in this armor I'd probably sink like a stone." She says, gesturing to her full plate. Thinking for a moment she kind of shrugs and sighs, "It's too bad we're underground. If there was any wildlife around here love, you could probably enhance it and make it grow around the bridge to make it more sturdy. I guess we'll just have to find another way across. The only question is should we try further upstream, or go downstream from here?" She says, trying to recall everything she had heard about the mines, and everything she learned in survival training to try and deduce the way they should go. Survival: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 Perception to notice anything that might help determine which way to go: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

well crap....that was really my only idea. Seeing the main supports of the bridge gone, gives Kelda a bad feeling, but she's unsure of what to do. Looking around at her beloved as well as the others, "It isn't safe to cross here, we'll have to find another way across. Does anyone have any ideas as to what our best course of action is? Should we walk upstream, ir downstream to look for another place to cross?" She asks of her companions.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda whistles softly, "Other than being an exquisite cut, and worth 700 gold, I guess not. I think we should take it back to the city with us, and turn it over to them. This stone is like two years of pay to them, and even if I can't give them back their mine....I can give them this." Closing the coffer back up, Kelda places it in her bag. "Okay, we need to get back to Varota proper from here, but I've never been in these mines before, and I'm not sure where we are in them....but we need to get out of here. I can try to help discern direction, but do you think you can get us out of here Jade?" Kelda asks, while trying to figure out which way to go, while not getting them lost in the mines. Survival, please don't let us get lost.: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda takes a quick look at the stone, "I'm not sure, but they must have had their reasons for hiding it." Appraise Gemstone: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Kelda runs her hand over the wall for a moment, "Hmmmm....interesting." Taking out her hammer, Kelda swings at the odd bit of wall. I'll huff, and I'll puff: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda goes to the wall that doesn't seem quite right, and inspects it more closely. Do I need another perception check here?
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda shrugs while looking around for anything to help them find their way out of the abandoned mines, "I'm not sure exactly. I was pretty young when the mine was shut down, so I've never actually been in it. I've only heard stories of what it used to be. It looks like this might have been some kind of storage room or office? Let's just look around and see if we find anything to help us get out of here." Kelda explains while searching the room for any clues on how to get out of the mines. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

It's probably gonna be a couple days before I can respond in a way that makes sense, since I'm having some massive headaches and it kinda feels like my brain is on fire. I'm just not feeling good, and I don't know what my body is trying to do to me.

Once they've all joined hands, Kelda looks back at Master Ardin, "Okay, we're ready as soon as you are. Thank you so much, for just everything. We really appreciate it." She says, while trying to mentally prepare herself for magical travel.

Wow, well it sounds like you guys had a pretty great trip, minus the whole almost getting caught in a tornado part. Really glad you guys weren't, and that you're okay. I can't wait to see the pics, I bet they are amazing. One summer while on one of our many family vacations, we were almost in a tornado while driving through Kansas, so I totally get it. It can be really scary, especially if your out in the middle of nowhere.

Kelda looks from the sisters and Basil, to her beloved, wondering what Lysithia thinks about the quarry situation and the devil they might run into. Sorry, last thing I promise. I just wanted to get all that out of my head before trying to go to sleep.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Nodding she says, "Yes, that's what I'm hoping for. If we approach him openly and honestly, I have good reason to believe that we can convince him. So, what do you guys say? This might be our only hope of stopping them."
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda sighs, "Whatever we have to do we'll do it. We have to get Varota's army mobilized as soon as possible if we want to stop them."
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda nods, "I'm sorry, in my haste I forgot that not everyone knows about the issue at the quarry. Many of my Kin worked in the quarry digging up the metals and gems that our blacksmiths used for...well, everything they made. One day they came across a lot of rubies, but didn't realize that they were Hell Rubies, and a fierce devil appeared to guard them. No one has been able to vanquish him, and so eventually the Dwarves gave up and sought out another source for their metals and left the quarry abandoned." She pauses for a moment to catch her breath, "I realize that's a bit to take in, and scary to think about dealing with....but if we just make sure he knows our only interest is getting to the city, I'm sure we can convince him to let us through. We don't have time to fight every single thing we come across, and he's only there to protect the gems....so, we should be okay."
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda nods, having heard the stories from her parents. Looking at Ardin she says, "Aye, I remember the stories my folks told me. If we run into him, I'll just make it very clear that we don't care about him or his stupid rubies, and that we just need to get to town. We will get to the town as quickly as we can and get things in motion." Looking back at Erytheia, "We'll be back as soon as we can, and we will save them. Thank you both so much. We're ready to go as soon as you're ready to send us." Looking around at the others, she realizes she just spoke for all of them, "Is that okay with everyone? Are we all ready to go?"
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
I'm just posting basically while he's busy eating, or playing a game on his own. So, just kinda between us doing stuff together.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda looks from Ardin to Erytheia, "We found a small group of goblins at a burned out village. We killed a good number of them including a knife wielding one that seemed more skilled than the others, and one that was a magic user. A few of them escaped, but we tracked them with Jade's help, to a large war camp. Jade notated it on the map we were making as we went through the woods. We lost count after fifty goblins....there was also a larger tent with a female sitting in front of it wearing dirty, but fine robes, and there was the most muscular goblin I had ever seen guarding her. I don't know how much time we bought ourselves by taking out their magic user.....but we can't stop them alone. If there was a way we could get word to Varota and get their army here, or if you have any ideas that would help us stop them from bringing back this evil...we will gladly hear it. It was very hard for us to just walk away after everything they've done, and what they're trying to do....so, I really hope we can get enough help in time to stop them." She says, the weariness and regret of not being able to confront the goblins apparent in her voice.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
So, I'm not sure how much posting I'll get done this weekend. We're getting my 12 year old nephew Alex this weekend. We only get to see him for a few days once a year since he lives out of state with his lying cheating mother. So, we spend a lot of time watching movies, eating pizza, playing different board and video games, and just having fun. He's a pretty cool little kid, but time is going by so fast, I have to cherish every moment with him.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda follows Lysithia into the sitting room and takes a seat. She really hoped that Master Arden would have a way of getting them to Varota more quickly so they could gather reinforcements. They took out the spellcaster that was there, but she wasn't sure how much time that had bought them. Kelda absently starts chewing on her nails while waiting for Erytheia, and wondering how much time they had to act.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Pausing for a moment, Kelda turns back toward Jade and the others, [smaller]"Do you think you can find the way back to the tower Jade?"[smaller] She asks quietly, hoping that giving Jade something else to concentrate on, would help give her something else to think about other than the camp of goblins they were walking away from.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda nods, "That sounds like a good idea. The tower is much closer, and if he can get us to Varota quicker somehow, we might still stand a chance of stopping them from completing their ritual." She says, turning away from the war camp, and toward the direction of the tower.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
As Jade fills in the map, Kelda goes to Lysithia and puts an arm around her waist, "I'm sorry honey, I know this sucks, but I couldn't come up with an alternative that wouldn't get us all killed. As much as I hate this, I see no choice but to go for reinforcements. We'll just have to move as quickly as possible to get this information back to Varota, so we can come back here in force and wipe them out....hopefully before they finish their ritual." She says, the anger and frustration in her voice is almost palpable, even though she speaks in hushed tones.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
No, if I want the almost 12k they're offering, they get to keep the whole vehicle. It's such bs, I feel like I'm being punished for someone else's stupidity.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
I know, and I hate that.....but I just feel like we don't have much of a choice. It stinks, but that's how life is sometimes. My vehicle that I just spent 725 bucks for new tires, is being totalled because of someone else's carelessness, and now I have to get another car and start all over with payments. It makes me so mad.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
Kelda sees the look on Jades face and knows all too well what she's feeling, "Hey...I promise they will all answer for every horrible thing they have done, but we can't do it by ourselves. I've almost exhausted my magic, and I think your sister said something earlier about being low on bolts for her crossbow. I swear to you, if you can get this camp put on the map, they will be dealt with. Okay?" She says softly but earnestly, hoping that her words will somehow soothe Jade's mind and spirit.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
By the time we wear them down enough though, they'll probably have already summoned the big nasty evil thing they're trying to bring forth. We don't know the details of this ritual they have to perform to bring out the faceless evil thing, that's suppose to free the major evil thing. That's why I was like, "Hey, let's put this place on the map and go get an army to wipe them out with". We can come back with them and try to find Miriam's sister, while the Dwarves keep the goblins busy. I just really don't have a good feeling about sticking around here, and the dice rolls have not been kind to us. In this instance, I just feel like it's better to be safe than sorry. Plus the fact that we've used quite a bit of magic, and Sapphira only has 11 bolts left.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
The only idea I had for the war camp was a really bad one. I was thinking of setting a few of their tents on fire, and trying to sneak into the big tent that looks like it's being guarded.....but these types of ideas almost always go sideways, and we could end up surrounded by 50 plus goblins. I really do think that mapping the location of this camp, and going back for reinforcements is our best option at this time.
Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)
I think we were supposed to map out any major outposts we found and report back to the Dwarves so they could send in their army to take them out. I think I remember reading that somewhere.
