![]() Kath wouldn't mind trying to convince someone to open the door. As a social skill his best is diplomacy at +4. In other news it looks like we found the cipher that was plaguing Kath's search. :)
In the interest of time here is a roll to convince the housekeeper to let us search the room that is missing. Throw it out if you don't feel it is relevant. Greetings kind lady. You have a most glorious complexion. It is of the utmost importance that we enter the room. We are on an urgent mission and have no time to waste! Trying to be charming and making sure not to lie, but also not mentioning the Pathfinder Society. Diplomacy: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 ![]()

![]() It seems like this is it. Make some records and let us retrace our steps, grab the illusion cards and get out of here. So seems like that's it? I believe we found the cipher that Kath was looking for. Anything else that we need to get? ![]()

![]() Does it count if I cracked the code outside of the game (At least I think I did, there appears to be a typo in the cipher?) GM: HASTHEBELLOFOBECIENCE (probably should be Obedience) Honestly, probably the only reason I figured out what this was is that I am playing Devil We Know part 4 on a different character, (Kath himself played parts 1-3). So the Bell of Obedience is quite fresh in my memory. If I am right, it's kind of nice how the senarios play off each other like this, what four seasons later? The typo made it more difficult then it should have been :(

![]() I believe it would be possible to stow a chain shirt and a buckler in a pack? Kath will keep his rapier in a comfortable position. It shouldn't be too threatening, and besides - he would find it fasionable. Just some people who aren't in the mood to party and are hoping to get some work done without undo distractions. Do you prehaps have any works on old cipher's that you could recommend? Kath says, being careful to make sure what he is saying is the truth. Diplomacy?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 ![]()

![]() Also you would probably want a cloak of resistance. Your original list had you at roughly 7.7k gold. Would you consider buying your mithril/cold iron daggers with Prestige points instead? Shave 556g off your bill and possibly pick up a Cloak of Resistance +1. Total would then be about 7.3k gold and 4 PP. I'm actually a fan of buying MW weapons with prestige to allow the gold to be spent elsewhere, but that may just be me. ![]()

![]() An - 50% unless it was purchased with PP, in which case you get nothing. But that's if you wanted to change it to another armor completely, for example, you now want full plate. If you wanted to upgrade your current armor (ie. turn your current masterwork armor into +1) you just pay for the upgrade, which would be 1k. Holman - I recommend you don't buy an illegal item (Sorry, Quick Runner's Shirt is not a valid purchase). CURSE YOUR SLOW FEET! :) Also a funny quirk about mithril daggers. Since You are small, and since small daggers original weight is 1/2 pound the price becomes 252. Yes this makes a small mithril dagger cost less then a small masterwork one. shrug I'd skip the Amulet of Natural Armor for the moment and upgrade one of your daggers, probably the admantine one. You want to make sure you can bypass DR/magic. +1 weapons are considered always available so you don't need to worry about fame limiting the upgrade. Also get a spare cold iron dagger, ideally masterwork, to cover your DR types. ![]()
