@F. Castor, really nice and helpful of you to create the list. That said, you missed me. I'm an unchained summoner

Mighty Glacier, my character could be the target for your cleric's misplaced interests. I think that could be awkwardly fun roleplay :=)

Would anyone want their character to have my character to fall in love with them?

I don't think my drow spiritualist would object too much.

Her phantom twin... might have an issue or two with it. :)

I wouldn't object to it, myself.

Thanks, both of you, but an eidolon/phantom would form a triangle relationship of sorts, and I don't think such hassle would improve the game.

If anyone else, not a summoner/spiritualist is still up for it, the offer is on the table!

(In the meantime, here's my incomplete submission, likely to evolve once I know my darling)

Well, Kase's eidolon is his sister, so no love triangle there. Just sayin'.

I'm okay with multiple character submissions, but please keep it limited to two or three at most so you don't overwhelm me with different concept from one player.

And I do indeed have a starting point. One that even makes it possible for characters from all over the world to be in one place and have a reason to work together.

Nice. "I have a theme in mind. Just thought you should no, and no, I'm not sharing it."

Way to pique our curiosity!

Probably good, though perhaps Linguistics instead of Appraise? That way you can communicate with customers from all regions of the world (Appraise would be more useful for a jewel merchant. As an innkeeper you're largely just taking gold for service, no actual exchange of goods besides food takes place). Linguistics would also let you spot forgeries, say someone claiming to be in <Insert Local Lord>'s service and requesting right to food and board for free based on some Writ theyf orged.

Or maybe Craft (Brewing).

Wow, that's making some really good sense with the linguistics. I had considered the craft (brewing), but he'd just be doing some serving of drinks, not really making his own brews. Didn't fit his backstory as well (son of a wealthy merchant, interest in arcana, trying to lay low under the guise of innkeeper). I suppose knowledge (geography) could also work for an innkeeper.

"Oh where are you from" ..."Oh, I've heard they have a fantastic (insert name here) festival there. Have you been to the (insert landmark here)?"..."Yes, I imagine it is (insert suitable adjective here)"

Thanks for the clarification, Rynjin. So, I'd be dividing the background skill points between profession: innkeeper and appraise, I guess.

Profession, though you'd likely have Diplomacy and Appraise too.

Okay, that makes solid sense. So, would it be legitimate to distribute the background skill points amongst those three areas, but focused into profession? It gives 2 skill ranks per level, which seems to be more than I'd be able to use just in profession as it would have twice my character level in ranks and I believe that's outside of the rules (unless unchained changes that for background skills. As stated, it's new to me, so I'm actually reading about it now, but didn't see clarity offered on that.

Grand Lodge

Hadn't looked over the background skills aspect of Unchained. It's a nifty idea. Now my question is what sort of skill would innkeeper fall into? Just profession? It's social, so diplomacy? It's about the value of rooms, food, drinks, etc. so appraise? Really not sure...

Grand Lodge

pippinTook's unchained summoner for this story world. Done as a level 1 character and a 20 point buy. As the idea is fleshed out more, I can cater the details and such accordingly.

Character attempt #2, Leevanna Voray, sylph occultist focused on summoning. Still a thing or two to tweak, but about 98% where I wanted her to be.

The character reads fine although I still read a lot of min/maxing in your crunch.

Read above what my stance is on occult classes and 'strange' races.

Questions?

Game on!

Can you please clarify exactly what you mean by min/maxing? Not everyone uses such terms for the same character aspects, so I just want to make sure I'm refining towards what you want instead of going in completely the wrong direction.

I'll try but sometimes it's a just a 'feel'. I know everyone's not the same but I've had experiences where players that are too focused on crunch tend to be more 'obsessive about rules' and not very story/character driven so I'm 'weary'.

Let's see: all of your feats and one trait are focused on summoning. Your angel figurine, base focus power, and air insight also seem to be geared towards summoning as well. And this may be me not really knowing an occultist (hence my preference for non-occult classes).

Don't get me wrong, I'll make my final decision once I have everyone's PCs and I'll probably seek input from the current players as well.

But since you have asked for feedback, I'm trying to be very transparent in providing this feedback.

More questions?

Game on!

Gotcha! You're seeing so many character aspects all going to one skill area and fearing the character is the classic "one trick pony." Makes sense. I know exactly what you're looking for now. Thanks for clarifying!

Definitely interested. Loving the higher level of role-playing and narrative style you're incorporating. It's exactly what I was wanting from a PbP setting.
I'll have to tweak some character things to get my submission for this all the way ready, but very enthusiastically dotting this.

Grand Lodge

Okay. Here's the character I've put together for this. Axe-wielding skald meat shied who worships Urgathoa and has a disease fascination.
