if granite, and based on the average density of granite I'd estimate that thing is barely a 1 ton rock ;p

Do you really plan to not be adjacent(or on) your AC most of the time? The idea is you don't need solo tactics because you AC gets your teamwork feats and you both benefit

I don't really consider what you can tack on with a dip an ability of the archetype

especially since both can do it for early access. Yes, not quite as early, or an extra level in the dip, but it's something both can do.
