If you're looking for a more swashbuckling cutlass wielding, parrot owning scallywag. I'd look at the actual Buccaneer archetype. I believe it's for Gunslinger, if the class is allowed it emphasizes more of the Pirate aspects of things, including getting Grit (Your class resource), from drinking alcoholic beverages.

If your're more for the Jack Sparrow kind of Pirate I'd look at Swashbuckler itself, it's a very melee focused class and you can take a feat to get firearm proficiency so you can carry around a brace of pistols with which to dispatch your foe. I'd look to see if a saber is a weapon Swashbuckler can use, or the cutlass.

Hi, MER-c! Thanks for helping!

I'm seeing Swash and Gunslinger right now. And seems pretty good!

I prefer Swash than Gunslinger. And Jack Sparrow was a good start to think in a pirate concept. But not the only one.

How do build this Swash?

Hi, everyone. I'm brazilian and new to Pathfinder.
First of all... I loved the system of Pathfinder sooo much! (Sorry for my bad english.. if I make mistakes)

Okay! I'm learning from all books (Core Rolebook, Advanced Guide, Race, Combat...) and I want to create a Pirate!

First of all.. again:
My RPG scenario: We are mercenarys. The king in this scenario offer a bounty for killing a creature: A Kraken (Magic Beast)
We'll beginning the RPG as level 1 and armoring and leveling up, until kill that creature in the end.

So! I made this guy over here:

John Silver, Skirmisher Ranger 1 (Human), CN
Str 16, Dex 13, Con 12, Int 14, Sab 12, Cha 13 (20 points)

Traits: Tradicional Human Traits
Bonus Traits: Courageous and Natural-Born Leader

HP: 12
Skill Ranks (10): Craft (Wood) +6, Heal +5, Intimidate +5, Knowledge (Geography and Nature) +6, Perception +5, Profession (sailor) +5, Stealth +4, Survival +5, and Swim +4

Favored Enemy: Magic Beast +2

Weapons: Scimitar, Shortsword, Dagger and Composite LongBow
Armor: Studded Leather

Feats: Fast Leaner (Human) and Step Up

So... He's a Pirate. Melee build to use Two Weapons with help from Combat Style Feat and trick Ranger.

The initial idea is build (later on) a Ranger with:
Hunter’s Bond: Hunting Companions
Leadership (Cohort and Followers)
Diehard
Favored Enemy: Magic Beast +10

Two-Weapon Fighting, Double Slice (Combat Style)
Favored Terrain (Water)

That's the first idea.

I'm came here for you guys, see another ways to see a Pirate.
If I make any mistakes on this sheet or have any doubts about, you guys can help too!

You can change everything. Just think in the concept to be a Pirate.

Can you guys help me out?

Thanks a lot!
