Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

^ pretty much that.

The question I always had for my Izalguun in SFS was how to handle Augmentations, such as those that require "All Feet/Legs/Hands/Arms".

It hasn't come up yet because she's only 5th level, but I plan on getting Force Soles by 8th.

I'm imagining it would just be her two "always feet", and if I got something for hands, it would be her two "always hands", and I'll avoid putting any Augmentations on her "sometimes hands/feet".

But I honestly doubt any GM will ever have a problem with it.

Looks great! Thank you again!

Guess I'll use this game to check my first box on the Skitter Home Chronicle ^_^

Prof (philosopher): 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 12 + 1 = 14

Kaarnah performs as an adjunct speaker regarding interspecies relations at the Lorespire Complex, but the audio engineers had set up the podium to accommodate a halfling previously, and so the recording went terribly.

Thank you everyone! That was a great run!

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Kaarnah trots over to the nearest Goblin and tries to follow the orders she was given.

Merciful Capture Pole (vs KAC): 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 2 + 1 = 21
Non-lethal, Piercing: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Yeah this flipping back and forth is making me rethink heavy armor Proficiency until higher level, after some speed enhancements have been acquired.

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"These assailants do not seem interested in the future investment opportunity of these limited edition collectables. I shall pass them back into your capable appendages."

Hand off items, then drop down into a quadrupedal gait.

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Kaarnah casually prods Mizix with a painless prick while distracting the Ambassador with conversation.

"I do feel the need to inform you, Ambassador, that the rate of violence we have encountered during your stay is statistically unusual, and that generally, most visitors to this station endure nothing more offensive than the cramped conditions and low ceilings."

+1 AC Mizix

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

YES!! 1 on Initiative. My job here is done >.>

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"Not that I have observed. However. I do have a large blind spot. And they are small."

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Holding the Ambassador's things, Kaarnah simply wraps her arms around them in a protective fashion.

Total Defense for +4 AC.

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Kaarnah makes the most of her hindered state by jabbing Mizix in the back of her calf with a small collection of nanites. The tiny machines spread throughout her circulatory system and set to work toughening the gnome's skin.

+1 AC for 7 rounds.

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Kaarnah rears up into a bipedal gait (her reach with her capture pole is now 15 feet) and uses her newly available set of arms to collect the ambassador's items.

Reflex: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12

If that's a Smoke Grenade, I believe it's a Fort Save, which Kaarnah would instead get a 16 on.

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"As predicted, the inherent value of the objects within their protective casings has already been observed by those without the means to acquire them lawfully."

Kaarnah draws her capture pole and readies to protect the ambassador, should any of the thieves approach within reach.

Merciful Capture Pole (vs KAC): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Damage (P): 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"Indeed. The investment opportunity alone in securing an unopened set should not be underestimated."

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"While I have not shopped for souvenirs myself, I have seen pieces of ornamental jewelry on many of the trendy centennials that seems popular. The object, a flat disc, hangs on a chain around your neck, and is drilled with holes that represent the orientation of the planets on any given date. We could have one made that correlates with today."

OOC: HERE is what Kaarnah is referring to.

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Kaarnah demonstrates pure elation once she is back under the effects of normal gravity.

When the representative offers her a stylus, she offers them a hypodermic needle. "As far as collections are concerned," she explains, "Kadrical demands an equal exchange of information. I believe two CCs of biofluid will suffice."

Intimidate, Aid: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"This is most embarrassing," the clumsy Izalguun complains as she takes to the air. "Zero-G maneuvering was never a focus on Izalraan."

Funny story. It is impossible for Kaarnah, with her Armor Check Penalty, to ever succeed at zero-G movement =/

I think some rebuilding is in order after this scenario.

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

No ranged option for Kaarnah. Didn't have the money, and her Dex is -1 anyways. Can't reach the gremlins, so...

Kaarnah sends a text communication to the Ambassador instructing him that they will have the infestation under control momentarily.

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"This positioning is inadequate."

Kaarnah steps to the side, and without warning, jams Tel'kk in the buttocks with her capture pole.

Tel'kk gains a +1 enhancement bonus to AC for 7 rounds.

"Apologies. I believe that the sentiment, 'Better to ask forgiveness than permission' is appropriate?"

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"Gremlins... I would appreciate collecting a sample of their DNA."

Kaarnah begins tapping through the interface on her Custom Mircolab to see if she can identify these creatures (Move action, rolling either Life Science to identify if they are alive, of Physical Science if they are unliving).

Life or Physical Science: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10

She then pulls out her capture pole, and points it at the gremlins.

"Reistance is futile. You will be assimilated. Comply."

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"Ambassador, if you will please engage in standby mode, our protocol as Starfinders dictates that we protect you from infestations of dangerous vermin."

Kaarnah squeezes through the cramped hallway and into the engine room.

(Double move)

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"Quite the unsuspected dilemma. Perhaps the maintenance crew is onboard and tending to the issues."

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Kaarnah nods her head slowly, a gesture that her anatomy doesn't seem well suited to do.

"This is why my people initially wished to procure travel arrangements with the company. However, I believe it is only a coincidence, as the initial purpose was likely for cargo, which happens to accommodate larger species. I fear the seat that Mizix selected will not contain her if there was a sudden drop in cabin pressure."

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Kaarnah waits until the ambassador has chosen their favorite seat and then sits near Boris, and fastens her seatbelt.

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Culture: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Kaarnah pauses upon hearing the name of the charter, and responds in her typical, thoughtful manner.

"Ah. A Starship belonging to Periphery Stars. This was one of my people's first experiences with... branding. We had originally thought they shuttled beings from peripheral solar systems to the Pact Worlds. But they were not adequate for long duration spaceflights. I am sure that a tour of the Armada should suffice for their capabilities, though."

Still, Kaarnah keeps an eye out for any possible... "Disturbances".

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Unaware of what social protocol should be attempted, Kaarnah simply tends to the Ambassador's allergy with her custom microlab.

She is both a Biohacker and Roboticist, after all!

1d20 ⇒ 17 (+10 Engineering or +9 Medicine)

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Medicine: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

Kaarnah cocks her triangular head to the side, confused at what Vyecmuraf is concerned with.

"Ambassador, it is possible, with this being your species's first foray onto the station, that the chefs were not entirely aware of what might interact negatively with your cyberbiology. I would do as he says."

Intimidate, Aid: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Kaarnah nods thoughtfully at the suggestion.

"I believe I will have whatever our dignified guest requests," she gestures to DV8. "I have not tried many dishes outside of my home world, and I would like to begin experiencing other palettes."

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"The socially conscious Ambassador raps as a means to bring awareness of the downtrodden to the mainstream SugarPop scene."

Profession (philosopher): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14

3-Nova Reroll: 1d20 + 12 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 12 + 3 = 20

That rendition was amazing! Hmm would be incredibly proud ^_^

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Heh. Roll20 game took a lot longer today than I thought.

Earlier...

Physical Science: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

"The Ambassador has courage and passion to stand up in front of a foreign audience and perform. Not something I have witnessed from many species during my journeys thus far."

Now...

Life Science: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

"Accurate without fault."

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"I am sure we can secure you a private meeting. What do you wish to discuss with them?"

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"We should follow your lead, Wise Vyecmuraf. I find your suggestions sound and well reasoned."

Once outside of the residence, Kaarnah reverts to her quadrupedal gait so as to not slow down the group.

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Engineering: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28

Kaarnah mixes up some disinfectants outside of the entrance and sprays her feet and hands before moving inside.

"Well met, Dignitary D-V-eight. My designation is simply Kaarnah. I am beginning to acquaint myself with the Society as you are, so I must confess that I do not have any stories of exploration with which to regale you, however my people back on Izalraan have impressive technological accomplishments which I would be happy to discuss in detail. Over. Dinner?"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18

The Social Hireling is first on my list of things to purchase with Fame ^_^

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

Engineering: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Reduce the DC of Engineering checks to identify creatures and technology by 5.

"I look forward to representing the very ideals that enticed me to join the Society: collecting knowledge, meeting new species, and serving my role in something greater. Respected Chiskisk, you mention 'spies'. Do you have any specific worries we should be aware of?"

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Izalguun Biohacker (5)

"Polite Tel'kk. As a Starfinder, you will always travel with comrades who can both augment your strengths and help you with opportunities."

The giant izalguun delicately removes a small finger scanner from her medical sash. "If I might request a minute sample of your DNA, I can set to work developing a population of fortifying nanites that can make up for any perceived lack in your natural defenses."

She offers the scanner to all who are interested.

Just realized there's a cap on how many allies I can attune my Custom Microlab to, but fortunately it's 7 at this level. If anyone *doesn't* want to benefit from Biohacks and ranged Medicine checks, let me know ^_^

Second Seekers (Ehu Hadif)

Izalguun Biohacker (5)

A similarly large, although quadrupedal, female Izalguun enters the briefing room. Noticing how cramped the room is quickly getting, she rears up on her two hind legs and crosses both sets of arms in front of her.

Her heavy armor is black with gold trim and a religious symbol of Kadrical is emblazoned upon her chest plate. Across her torso rests a bandolier filled with vials and serums, and a long pole is strapped to her back.

She removes her golden helmet to speak, revealing her triangular head and vertical oral slit. Despite her imposing appearance, her voice is calm, her dialogue halted and thoughtful, and she speaks in flawless Common.

"Respected Chiskisk. Member of the Forum. I thank you for considering myself for your summons. It is my hope that my skills suit your request adequately."

Heh. The stories are already written. I just add a bit of flavor.

I dotted into that Gameplay link, but I think the Discussion Tab is linked to a different game.

Absolute hilarious coincidence: I just created a brand new Izalguun character for your game, because the only other character I have in-Tier is Level 3, and in that Discussion there's another Izalguun with the same avatar ^_^
