Justin discussed things with his "friends" and they agree that he should continue along for the next part as well. :)

Although I'm having a hard time trying to fit the consortium into all this." he frowns deeply at a miner while absently stroking the his index finger across Bill's (dagger) sharp edges.

As the party rests and looks at the notebook, Justin tries questioning the miners again. Did they see who owned that pouch? Did they see the Pathfinder? What did he do?

Sorry, I meant Justin's question to be for the miners. Guess I didn't type that part, LOL!

Picking up Glados, Justin hurries with the others, herding the miners away from danger.

When he catches his breath, he mentions to Felixe, "Nice trick back there with the kitty. I hope to never be face to face with it." (Wisdom:7. Charisma:7. What he actually says is not rated-G, but he means it to be totally innocent. You can tell from the way he says it, with genuine respect for combat usefulness) It is not until much later that he realizes his mistake, but by then he figures it is too late to apologize)

Justin glances down the stairs with a classic Indiana Jones, 'Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes.' expression. "That's no good. We need to stop this. Do you know why they are so angry? What did the earlier pathfinder do to anger them? Maybe we can fix it?" While talking, he rushes over to pick up Glados. "oh hush, I was not gonna leave you."

Justin will run up to the nearest living kobold and introduce him to Lucy. "Surrender while you have the chance!"

Lucy vs kobold: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
slashing: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

I've seen other people include a whole status section in their posts. It seems useful, so I will start trying to include one in my posts. Right now, it is semi-redundant with the status line on posts. But later on, when everyone has multiple bufs from spells, potions, etc, you can update the stats here with greater detail than you have room for in the status line. Assuming #2 is still alive, he will go full attack on it, letting the ladies do their job. "Stupid creature, we tried to do this peacefully!"

Is Justin not listed in that initiative order because he was busy playing with Glados?

Justin's head begins hurting. We were warned about when to use strength and when to withold it. I really just wanna slice those little nasties into lots of tiny pieces, so maybe that means I shouldn't. He holds his head for a second, trying to second guess himself, fate, and the mechanics of the universe. Is the blade cutting left or right? After a few moments of intense distress, he makes a decision.

Justin gives the others time to get setup and then he strides out into view and addresses the enemy. "Hey guys, hold on a second." He repeats that in common, goblin, and elven. He has a very relaxed stance. His left hand is in the air with his fingers spread to show there is nothing in it and he holds Glados gingerly in his right. When he has their attention, he slowly lowers her to the ground.

His intent is to find out why they are attacking the miners and try to set that right. He has no clue how to do that though, other than just asking them (low wis+charisma). If given a chance, he will indicate that he was sent to make peace again. He asks what made them so angry and asks how we can right that wrong. This all sounds nice, but he has a poor way with words and is likely to be offensive somehow.

He also hopes that if dialog starts, the better speakers in the group will catch on and come to his aid. On the other hand, if it all goes to hell, he is happy to make himself a distraction so the rest of the party can get the jump on them.

Justin is busy trying to keep Lucy and Ethel from picking on Glados. Apparently they are jealous that they didn't get a chance to cut the enemy. He is deeply engaged in the inanimate argument and barely knows where he is walking.

As the creature emerges from the bushes, Justin takes a wild swing at it with Glados.

Justin has reach with Glados. Does he get an aoo?

In case im slow in posting: Justin plans to drop Glados, step up if necessary, quick draw Lucy and Ethal, and attack. If he does not need to step up, then he will full attack with both weapons, otherwise only single attack. Roll for me if im holding things up.

The blade-obsessed warrior looks confused by the question. "Or go home? Seems kind of pointless. Never understood those finger wigglers." he murmurs to himself. Shaking off the confusion, Justin strides carefully across the bridge, expecting to be attacked at any moment. "Ready to slice open some kobolds, Glados?"

Justin pats Xiao heavily on the back and nods his approval.

"Good idea" Justin nods appreciatively and starts trying to herd the critter into the trap. When he has difficulties, he calls back over his shoulder, "Yo, Xiao! Make this thing walk across the bridge."

Justin growls in frustration and then nods a thankyou to Felixe. "can we just spring it from a safe distance?"

Since we're already expecting an ambush, would it be reasonable for us to take 20 on engineering and perception rolls, looking for an ambush? Are we in a hurry? Is the daylight fading?

If not, Justin will volunteer to walk across first, Glados at the ready.

Oddly enough, the guy in armor with lots of weapons goes up and begins inspecting the bridge like he knows what to look for.

Maybe he is just faking it though, as his overall assessment of the bridge's safety is just a shrug.

"Annnnnnnn! Where'd you get off to?" Justin calls out to his chackram while searching for it. Once he retrieves her, and gives her a good admonishing for not flying true, he notices the big guy looking at the plants. While he has no desire to eat the thing himself, he does at least offer comments about which parts might be sharper.

"Glados, let's slice that thing's wings off!" Justin steps up and swings his glaive mightily.

"Or not." With hands that seem to blur with speed, Justin joins the attack by drawing one of his chakram, Ann, and hurls her with great force at the same flower attacked by Nali. He then rushes up behind Pelagos.

In his attempt to slay the plant with a single throw, he put too much force into his attack and it went (very) wide.

"Well that just isn't fair. Everyone has to breath. We should burn the entire place down.... but that just might make things worse, eh?"

Justin stands ready to assist with whatever is needed, though he is unsure of what actions really need to be taken. "I guess this is one of those times when muscle isn't the answer" He frowns.

Agreed. It is just a game and games should only be played if they are fun. The real world produces enough stress as it is. This is an escape from that stress. Having it produce stress is kinda silly :P

Stay safe and take care of what matters. We'll still be here once real life settles down.

Justin is thinking about how fun it would be to wade among the flowers and let Lucy and Ethel cut them to shreds. He doesn't notice the skeletons and seems to be grinning while staring at nothing in particular.

Justin simply nods, grasps Glados in both hands, and prepares to follow.

Justin only half listens to the conversation. It used to drive him mad, but he eventually learned that other people just do that. 'talk about meaningless stuff' He checks his various blades to make sure they are secure and ready to use. At least they don't engage in such inane chatter. He comforts himself with that thought and watches for danger as we move through the hostile environment.

"Cats have very sharp claws. I enjoy playing with them sometimes. They make nice little slashes in your skin. Admirable, right Glados?" He glaces at his glaive as if expecting an answer.

"You are a worthy leader. We will not fail" Justin forks over the 50 gold without complaint.

"The druid is right. It makes no sense to dull your blade. When it comes time to slice things up, you cannot. If I must pay for special clothing, a potion or a scroll to protect myself from the heat, that is fine. Otherwise, I suggest we make use of their skills."

Not trying to make waves. Justin will eventually go along with the consensus. He's got 221 gold to pay for equipment.

Through some arcane fluke or divine whim, Justin is overcome with a burst of wisdom and decides to remain quite and glare at Valacosti while everyone else hangs on the Praetor's words.

Sorry to hear that. Be safe, especially if you're leaving the country.

@Nali, Yeah, Justin's little show should have come right after Felixe and before you, rather than in the middle of your exchange. But I like this better. Maybe his foolishness would explain Nali's diplo roll :)

Justin suddenly growls in frustration. "Look here, pretty boy. We are Pathfinder. We are here to fix problems, not play dress up. We are capable of laying waste to the kobold population or simply cowing them into submission. They respond to strength, not fancy words. And we are not mindless. If there is something stirring them up, we can find and remove that problem instead. We are her to solve a problem. And right now, the only thing preventing that seems to be you."

He then runs his tongue, lovingly, across Glados's sharpest edge, leaving a clear trail of red as it slices into his flesh.

Justin tilts his head in thought. "By more powerful being, do you mean like a Consortium or something?"
(7 wisdom + 7 charisma == saying lots of inappropriate things)

Justin misses most of the social queues and so responds only to Sylien's words. "We are good folk and honor bound to cut true in the name of the society. You have a problem here and it sounds like simply smashing things will only it worse. You need the precision of a surgeon's blade to slice through the fat and get to the root of the problem. Personally, I have no knowledge of the area. But I can be taught. Show us what should be cut free and what should be left unmarred, and it will be done."

Justin is not really good a social stuff and diplomacy. However, he does not really understand that.

When the little guy mentions extreme heat, Justin groans and claps his armor. "Will you be providing any of those rolled paper things that keep me from getting too hot out there?" (endure elements or whatever)

The dirty human sitting at a table, a typical warrior decked out in metal armor and bristling with weapons, looks up from carving perfectly spaced notches in the side of that table with a silver dagger. His face is a frown at how the silver is affecting how well the blade slices into the wood. "Bandu hills? Where's that? I hope it's not in Mwangi; we don't like Mwangi. You've never been there, have you Angel? I'm sure you'll hate it too." The last part was apparently addressed to the dagger he was using.

Same here. I really enjoy knowing that just because an adventure is over, I do not have to go trolling the recruitment boards again. The next adventure just opens up before my very eyes and draws me into sweet embrace.
