Thanks for checking in.

Good luck to you, hope the new place is awesome!

Juice is a little embarrassed that he couldn't keep up with the goblins that faced him, but is delighted that the others appear to pull it off! He starts running over to high five the others, especially Virgil who faced down the boss. "Woo! Now that's Breaker dancing!" Juice breaks out a few more moves then ends by dabbing.

Grandstanding: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9. We all knew it had to end this way.

Juice looks to see if the goblins will accept their embarrassing defeat.

Inactive

Init: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Perform (dance): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

As soon as Juice moves from the false privacy of the hallway to seeing himself before a live studio audience, he falters, tripping over his own shoes. And as a result, instantly regrets his foolhardy suggestion. Damn it, I'm supposed an actor, and I can't dance in front of these people?

Inactive

Agreed, I was thinking of Juice doing some grandstanding as he dance-fights the goblins.

Inactive

It doesn't have to go this way. I can totally see Glade going "Dance? I'll show you how I dance!" and attacking the nearest goblin.

Inactive

"Hey, if the goblins want to do a dance-off, I'm ready to bring it!" Brimming with unwarranted confidence, Juice starts doing a robot dance.

Perform (dance): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14

Incredibly, his dance moves are still holding together!

Inactive

Juice immediately tries to remember what he knows about the cudgel up dancers and how dangerous they are. He shares what he learns with the group.

Knowledge (XCrawl): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10. Apparently he knows nothing.

"Finally, something to fight! This'll be fun! Ow!" He starts moonwalking his way forward to the door. Perform (dance): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14. He's not a natural, but does a decent job!

Inactive

Ooh . . . I had seen that recruitment and didn't make the connection! Definitely applying, though I am expecting a lot of competition for those spots!

@DJ TPK - Since it looks like combat is near, I checked out Roll20 again and saw that I can't seem to move my token.

Inactive

If it makes you feel better, my wife had some fast and irregular heartbeat on and off, and they hooked her up to an EKG and had her run on a treadmill for testing. But they concluded it wasn't a big deal and the problem has since gone away. Good to check it out, but hopefully this is just an unimportant fluke.

Inactive

"Hold up--can I get one of those hats, DJ?" asks Juice.

If a hat appears, Juice takes it, and holds it up. "I'll be savin' this one as a special gift for the next monster we fight!"

Inactive

I am happy to go down that route, and it seems both of you are in agreement. Ranveer has been the most enthusiastic of us all, and it would be fantastic to see that energy play out in some deadly encounters for us to face!

Inactive

"Good going, Virgil," says Juice encouragingly from his hidey-hole. Now that it seem the way is clear famous last words, Juice follows up to the next door. He takes a look at the door while he's there. Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

Inactive

Nodding at Lora's wisdom, Juice is seen looking for cover as Virgil begins his work on the traps.

Inactive

"This tunnel sure doesn't look safe, does it?" Juice checks out the hallway alongside Arthur, trying to see anything besides the trip wires. Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

Inactive

Juice is seen feeling the sides of the boat as the illusion subsides. "There we go, solid wood."

He looks out for any trouble up ahead. Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Inactive

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16. Juice is starting to feel suspicious about who was and wasn't affected by this mental magic, but doesn't quite fit the pieces together in his state of mind. "You're not rowing fast enough!" The panic in Juice's voice is still strong.

Inactive

Will DC13: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 3 - 2 = 13. Juice feels some magic come over him, and just manages to shake it off. "NOW SOMEONE'S MESSING WITH MY HEAD!" he shouts, feeling even more panicked than before.

Inactive

Once it seems the boat is continuing apace and nobody is falling in the holes, Juice seems to relax a bit. Though one can't help but notice he is NOT looking down. Just need to pretend I'm walking on water. That's a thing, right?

Inactive

Will Save Reroll, +4 bonus: 1d20 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 4 = 9

"No, it's real, you guys are all confused!" Juice is seen dancing around awkwardly to avoid what he thinks are the holes burning through the ship.

Inactive

Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Inactive

Juice breathes a sigh of relief as the darts finally stop flying. "Alright, our warmup is done, let's do this for real." Juice gazes at the path forward in search of further danger. Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

Inactive

Fortitude: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27.

Inactive

Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

"Ow!" This time, it's Juice who gets hit by a dart. And he is not feeling so great . . .

Inactive

Sadly I don't know anything about Futurama. Except Bender, who is hilarious!

Inactive

"Aiya!" cries Juice as he sets off the trip wire that flings darts at the group. He checks whether the trip wires could go off again. Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

He checks for disturbances or oddities in the water. Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

"I'm not a bad swimmer, but let me see if the water looks safe first."

Inactive

Damn, sorry for triggering that trap. Next time I'll avoid doing anything until everyone can roll perception checks.

Inactive

"Get ready for your clothes to get wet! I'll row, so you can hang on to your weapons." Juice jumps on board and takes the oars. Once Arthur pushes off, he starts rowing hard for the other pier.

Inactive

"Damn, that's a lotta money to flood a stage," says Juice, as he enters the set and looks around to assess the scene. Are we entering from the south or north? Is that an enemy in the far corner?

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

Juice drinks his Potion of Mage Armor (lasts 1 hour), and takes his place at the front with the other fighters.

Inactive

"Bring on some Cudgel Up Dancers!" shouts Juice, calling out one of the DJ's trademark enemies.

Inactive

Juice cringed again at the sight of himself getting kicked . . . that one still smarted. He gritted his teeth, more determined than ever. "Game on, DJ, game on."

Inactive

When his name is called, Juice jumps out with a flying kick, followed by a rapid series of punches, and ending in a low crouch fighting stance. "WoooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo...." he cries, adding some sound effects to his display.

Just as abruptly, he comes back to attention and bows, making room for the next introduction.

Unarmed Strike: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Grandstanding: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Inactive

Damn, that was incredible Ranveer! Bravo!

Inactive

Juice nods in silent agreement and looks to Ranveer expectantly.

Inactive

Definitely maps for combat, if you're up for it.

Inactive

"Do you know how many teams are competing?" asks Juice out of idle curiosity.

Inactive

A small smile appears at the edges of Juice's lips. "Who says we're just acting for the camera? The Breakers are going to have a big debut." Juice seems cool and confident.

Okay, so I've received some constructive criticism and had someone raise a concern about the slowdown, I just want to let you guys know that I haven't gotten bored. I've just been forced to concentrate on other things the last couple of days and it's slown me down. The fact that I realized I shouldn't have hit you with two interviews basically right after another has annoyed me too.

Totally understand, thanks for letting us know!

Inactive

Juice quickly hops up as the disturbance arrives believing it was time to roll, only to be disappointed. He lets out a sigh. "More talk, I see. And not even Alexa Richards." he notes, mentioning the previous reporter. He looks around to see who the interviewer will be. "At least this means we're close."

Inactive

As the others begin to chat, Juice takes a seat, cross-legged. It's a state that seems like meditation, but his eyes are still open. He is at once present and transcendent, as he prepares for the coming battle.

Inactive

There are apparently apps for Roll20. May be worth trying, but I don't have any actual experience with it.

Inactive

I hope Larry's Castle is something like Takeshi's Castle.

Inactive

In the morning, Juice goes to the sanctioned XCrawl supply shop makes the purchases he planned to make to account for the troll.

Since Arthur apparently has acid, I'll just get a single Alchemist's Charge for myself and a single oil for backup purposes. And a torch. If anyone decides they want an Alchemist's Charge, hit me up and I'll buy one for you.

Inactive

Wait, I don't get it. We have team colors? How did he get painted with them?

"Okay, it's late and we must be ready for tomorrow. Time for me to sleep." With that, Juice looks for a spot to retire for the night.

Inactive

Juice laughs too as another hole in the wall appears. "This hotel's gonna love us."

Sorry, I can only do rocks. but will pitch in for some of that fire Juice is talking about.

"Did you say Fire Juice? I like the sound of that! Could be a name for an Asian spice."

Inactive

I'm told Alchemist's Fire doesn't exist, so that's why I grabbed the pricier Alchemist's Charges. If we want to go discount, are vials of acid at 10gp an option? The game has sulfuric acid as a banned substance, but that's way stronger than Pathfinder acid.

Also, agree with matches instead of torches. I apparently already bought a lighter for myself which I forgot about.

Inactive

My DM in another game just complained about losing Lazarus on Firefox--think he lost a big post.

Juice will buy 3 Alchemist Charges, 10 torches, and 6 oil, for 150.7 gp. One goes to Ranveer and another to Lora as our group's most dexterous characters. Everyone gets a torch and some oil.

Inactive

"Got it. I can get some Alchemical Charges, some oil, and some torches," suggests Juice. He will do that the next day before the games begin.

Any chance I can buy some gasoline? At a minimum, I'd want to reflavor the old-fashioned oil to be gasoline.

Does anyone know much about trolls? We could prepare for any weaknesses if we know of any. I've heard they won't attack anything covered in sheeps dung, but I'm not sure how good the info is

"I'd guess most things won't hug a creature covered in sheep's dung!" agrees Juice.
