He releases his super pack of wolves and replaces them in the caravan of ants. He listens to them and understands better what Helen was directing and runs to catch up with her. He howls in joy escaping into his predatory urge to run.

Behind the outside wall of the diner, Harker feels his solar nemesis sinking below the horizon like he has felt every day for over a century.

The vampire continues to feel the predator hunger of his super pack of wolves and directs them to hunt and kill ants.

Jonathan Harker takes total cover behind a building. His solar nemesis not quite completely departed for the day. He reaches into his dark predator essence and calls canines to respond.

First, a couple wolves appear around the corner, then quickly followed by howls and more than a couple dozen wolves. The vampire mentally sends his super pack to hunt and kill the monster ants.

Complication: Weakness (sunlight) Sunlight is anathema to vampires, and will cause horrible pain. Extended direct sunlight will kill a vampire of any power level.

Jonathan stared and eventually waved at the lagoon to his friend who he hoped would stay in touch. He wanted to know what he went through to help him recover. Monsters needed to stick together. Who else would understand his perspective?

He turned away from the lagoon to join his current team retreat to civilization and escort the infected remains to secure containment. He looked forward to satiation from civilized blood.

I would enjoy adding of magic to the repertoire of Jonathan as a consequence of becoming a avatar of Hecate. Mechanically maybe an AE Variable. And, RPing the development of magical expertise.

The obvious villain to return for Harker is Dracula. We fought him in the last campaign, too. However, I find Dracula much more powerful, insidious, and frustrating when he acts as a puppet master. Maybe, he is leading the nemesis of the Monstrous Regiment.

Potential NPCs are the descendants of Van Helsing who could hunt Harker just because he is a vampire or need help with Dracula.

I would also enjoy developing the Monstrous Regiment as an analog to Hellboy's Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.). Meaning, we could explore any mythology threatening the world retreading any of the Hellboy stories.

I'm mixed on the Recruitment. On the one hand, I enjoy the richness additional protagonists give to the story. On the other hand, waiting for posting bogs the game. Maybe we could specify posting expectations in a recruitment.

Jonathan nods to the real Gill accepting his thanks. Then, he announces to his teammates, "with the influence of the Mother removed, Gill's presence will no doubt heal the Lagoon."

Turning to the fake Gill, he asks, "now, what should we do with you? What would be the best justice for you? For killing those women, and other crimes against humanity?"

On the communicator, Jonathan calls out in obvious distrees, "agent down! Repeat, agent down! Emergency healing required!"

The vampire walks toward the Gill-man and calls to him, "Where is my friend? Your predecessor?"

Seeing Hathaway checking on the unconscious lady, Jonathan sheathes his glowing sword and starts to look around for anything to ensure that the Mother can be sealed away or to confirm Her destruction.

He offers, "Well done, Helen and Sekhmet. The irony that they declared the Mother the cure is overwhelming."

Harker does not believe that he can kill the Mother, because he himself if basically immortal as long as he stays out of the sun.

So, if others can kill it, go for it.

Otherwise, he would look to lock her back up. Asking his new Controlled friend for suggestions on how to put her back the way that they found Her.

He can throw a couple of hero points at a solution.

Jonathan smiles when the Mother finally crusts over into her makeshift tomb. He finally felt warmth. He had not felt warm since the vampire had killed and transformed him. The feeling was an old memory from when he lived. And, he had forgotten how good it felt.

Jonathan nods his head and whispers a benediction to the divine goddess who selected him, "bless you, Hecate."

The vampire turns to his Monster Regiment and asks for consensus, "Where is the vault that we need to put her in? That is generally how this works."

Jonathan always feels quite insignificant and cursed with undeath when he compares himself to the members of the Regiment who are avatars of gods. Until today. With his classical education, he of course knows the Greek god Hecate and is pleasantly surprised to known by Her. Let alone to be blessed by Her.

His blood flares silver with possibilities. He imagines burning the vegetable body of the elder being with necrotic flames. The vampire swings a ghostly blade that is wreathed in silver flames which blast toward the Mother of Monsters.

This is what I was thinking for a 40 pt AE. Please feel free to fix and improve. Power Stunt for 1 HP = 3 HP to create an AE: Weaken (Fortitude) 10, Secondary Effect; Reach 8 (+40 ft), Incurable, Feature (causes the target to be wreathed in silver flames)

I don't know how many points to build the Secondary Effect that I thinking about about a Cumulative Affliction targeting Fort

Understood about the Gill-man. Just wanted him out of the battle, and get as much information as possible. And, hopefully if/when the Mother is defeated, then her control of him releases, too.

"Unfortunately, your mother is not the first being who has wanted to control the world. Imagine if one of them had succeeded before your mother awoke? How boring the world would be if one being controlled it all. No plays, books, music. As long as humans don't destroy the world themselves, our culture can be quite wonderful."

"Ironically, that human culture enabled human science to awake her. Where would she be if humans had not had the free will to explore? Help us convince your mother to stay here and leave the world alone."

"Gill, mate? You wouldn't happen to know what she wants, now she is awake? Does she have any interest in retiring here being the big fish, in a small lagoon?" He had fought more than his fair share of old gods, and the battles always had collateral damage and unintended consequences.

"And Gill? Would you be able to oppose your mother? Or, would you be able reunite with your predecessor brother Gill?" The vampire tries to find anything useful task that his new ally can perform with certainty.

Jonathan shakes his head as the Mother defends her minion, before getting drenched by the water of the lagoon. He stands his ground and surprisingly looks amazing in his clinging water-logged clothes.

The vampire evaporates into mist and surges forward to the successor of his friend. When he gets within melee, he solidifies and attacks the amphibian.

It's unclear how far Gillman is, so I think I can get to him in one move with Flight 4. And I don't know if he can turn himself into Mist AND resolidify in the same round. If he can, he attacks.

Jonathan follows his companions into the jungle. No. His gaze is not permanent. His bite is permanent. ST didn't say that he needed to bite her, in order to continue his control. But, maybe he did. ST?
