The halfling stands back; there's no way he can reach either of the two remaining enemies, and he's managed to kill at least one of them so he's moderately happy for now. Instead, he starts searching the goblin corpses for more loot.
Sorry; I forgot I hadn't posted my action for the round...
The halfling moves quickly up to the next goblin, taking advantage of the fact that it is still distracted, and thrusts his short sword at it.
To Hit: 1d20+1=13
Damage: 1d4=4, 1d6=6
Cuu wrote: Cuu will move 4 squares up to i9 and attack the goblin at h8.
Seeing easy prey, Cuu nimbly jumps over the asleep goblin and swings his weapon at the next goblin's head.
1d20 + 5 + 1(BARD) = 25 (I critted!)
2d8 + 8 + 1(BARD) = 15
Remember that crits need to be confirmed with a second to hit roll with the same modifiers.
Once little Jimmy Evans has caught up with the rest of the group, he looks for a reasonably isolated goblin; preferably the one at the near end, then advances. The thrusts straight at the goblin, hoping to achieve a kill count of at least one this afternoon...
Initiative: 1d20+4=23
Attack: 1d20+1=18
Damage: 1d4=4
"A potion of some kind," James replies with a shrug, pocketing said potion in case it proves useful later. "Looks like a healing draught. Other than that, there's some halfling sized weapons, but other than some arrows I might be able to use later, there's **** all worth bothering with."
With that, he sprints after the others, barely keeping pace with the jogging Cleric.
"First good idea I've heard all day," the halfling says with a slight smile. "I'm James, by the way," he introduces himself as he gets to work searching the corpses for anything more useful than a dog slicer or flee infested armour.
"They're /goblins/ for ****'s sake; even a healthy child could take down a goblin. Shelter," he snorts. He then helps to find a potential source of water, though given his size, he may have trouble carrying it...
Yet more acrobatics ensue, as little Jimmy Evans dives past another goblin and attempts to stick his short sword into its back.
Using acrobatics to get to D11: 1d20+10=28
Attack: 1d20+3=21
Damage: 1d4=1, 1d6=1
Oh? Make that F10 then. I clearly didn't do as much catching up as I needed to...
Sorry to keep you all waiting. Just catching up, then a combat post will be inbound.
Edit: Jimmy Evans rides into battle on the shoulders of a half orc. As Cuu reaches his destination, the halfing leaps from his shoulders and thrusts at the goblin's middle.
Jumping to F8 from Cuu's shoulders once he reaches G8. On the off chance that I actually go before Cuu, I'm delaying my action until after he has moved.
Initiative: 1d20+4 -> [5,4] = (9)
Acrobatics (to dismount Cuu without interfering with his movement): 1d20+10 -> [7,10] = (17)
To Hit: 1d20+1 -> [15,1] = (16)
Damage: 1d4 -> [4] = (4)
James Evans looks to the Half Orc. "If you're going to chase after Goblins, would you mind giving us a lift so's I'm not late to the party?" he asks with a faint smile. "With this many goblins, I'll be damned if I'm not taking at least one of the ******s out..."
James Evans grumbles as he rises to his feet to see the goblin fallen. "Well ****. Ah, the hells with it; there's probably more of them need killing..."
As the half orc thrusts at one goblin, the halfling dives past the second, rolls nimbly and rises to his feet, thrusting at the vitals of his goblin foe.
I forgot to add my +1 bonuses from the Bard, so that's 18 to hit and 7 damage. Acrobatics to move to J2 without provoking attacks of opportunity first, then attack the goblin on J3.
Acrobatics: 1d20+10=23
Attack: 1d20+1=17
Damage: 1d4=3, 1d6=3 (6 total)
Cuu wrote: Yo Jimmy, Cuu is already at i4 (see post above). Do you have enough movement to flank the goblin with Cuu by moving to k2? Whoops. If I take a double move, I can do it, but I can't move and draw a weapon in the same turn; you have to have a BAB of 1 or higher, which first level rogues don't have, so I'd be all but useless until next round anyway.
The halfling pickpocket had just picked a mark too! Darn those goblins! James wouldn't usually get involved, but the goblins are are as likely to kill him as any other passer by, so he steps forward towards one of the goblins and thrusts.
Draw weapon as a move action, 5' step to I4, regular atttack
Initiative: 1d20+4=12
Attack: 1d20+1=17

BTW - my linking never seems to work. I must practice it. I've uploaded Old Redeye's much appreciated map onto the flickr account too.
You need to use the [url] tabs. For example, [ url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/43139281@N06/3979777699/ ] Map [ /url ], without the spaces, will give Map
James Evans wandering around the area, looking for potential pockets to pick; preferably where no one is likely to see him doing so due to diverted attention and the like.
I'm currently around H4
As is Jimmy Evans, thoroughly disreputable halfling rogue with a slight sadistic streak.
