Harter helps Jhod up and offers him water. Then, he answers "This is a new effort by Restov to solve the banditry problem around here. We've been tasked with removing the Stag Lord from any position of power, and were promised a title if we did."

A noble undertaking then. The Stag Lord is a blight on these lands." He says as rubs the numbness from his hands.

After it seems the man is recomposed, Harter adds "We've been staying close by at a trading post owned by Oleg Leveton. We can escort you there if you like. Then, if it's possible, we'd like to you to tell us what you know that can help us on our mission."

Stanislaw says, "Are you injured at all, Jhod? Erastil has gifted me some healing magic that I can employ." Stanislaw, too, wore his holy symbol about his neck, and was pleased to see one of Erastil's priests here in the Stolen Lands.

Ah, I don't know that place. I was captured by these bandits when I first entered the area. I am unhurt, the bandits were surprisingly not that rough with me, just bound me is all."

The bound man is late middle-aged, dressed in simple robes. A holy symbol of Erastil hangs around his neck. He definitely doesn't look threatening at all. He was silent during your exchange with the bandits, but he readily responds to you when you approach. He nods in appreciation when you unbind his hnads.

"Thank you, I'm Johd Kavken, a simple priest of Erastil. These bandits caught me yesterday and did not quite believe me that I had nothing of value."
He looks around at your group.
"It is quite astonishing that there is a group claiming to bring order to these lands. May I ask why you took this task upon yourselves?"

"I agree with Linzi, this seems more like the plot of an insane dryad than a true curse."

After the annoying Pitaxian noble leaves, Jhod, Tristian, and Linzi bring an update about your battle on Bald Top Hill.

"Your Grace, we are victorious! The spider invasion is halted along with the strange dryad that led them. And the portals to the First World have closed."

Finally, Jhod also requests an audience. He approaches and bows respectfully.

"Your Grace, I was at Oleg's trading post recently, and I noticed old Bokkem standing around , bored woth nothing to do. This is most unfortunate as the old grumbler is an accomplished alchemist. However, the locals there don't really need anything besides the simplest of healing draughts. Then it struck me -- why don't you hire him as your court alchemist? His concotions and tnictures could prove most useful to you in your explorations. Also, it might be cheaper in the long run than buying them from him or some other merchant."

In response to Faerin's suggestion, Jhod brings up the matter of what to do with the Temple of the Elk.
"The old Temple of the Elk could be cleansed, but that would require quite a heavy expenditure of both time and resources. It might just be more worthwhile to raze it and remove the taint. We are building a new shrine here anyhiow."

Oleg looks on with approval as the deed is finished. The younger teen just vanishes after Faerin's warnings. The older teen volunteers to stay at Oleg's for a while and help with the repairs.

Afterwards, Jhod Kavken approaches your group.
"An unfortunate, but necessary business. Now perhaps some Law will take hold in these wild lands."

"I was brought to these lands by a vision from Erastil. But those bandits caught me before I could follow the vision. I need you to complete this. Please, find the Temple of the Elk! I've pieced together its location from what I can remember of my visions. It is somewhere in the North Narlmarches. However, I am not strong enough to walk this path myself. Do not reject my plea, good travelers, and I will repay as best as I can. I realize in these dark times, people rarely help each other without some compensation, may Erastil forgive us all. But I am sure my healing abilities will be useful to you."

"Well met, friends. I was on my way to Oleg's Trading Post when I was waylaid by these bandits. I must say, your handling of the situation was rather uncommon for these parts. Usually it's the sword that meets out "justice" here. Either way, I shall make my way to Oleg's, if there is anything you need from there, I am in your debt."

Jhod gives Harrim a curious look.
"A dwarven priest of Groetus? Now that's something quite unique. I'm sure there's quite a story behind that."

"Praise Erastil! Someone finally drove off those scoundrels! Thank you, stranger. I am Jhod Kravken, from Galt. Those bandits attacked me as I crossed the river. They said they wanted to take me to their leader, make me heal their wounds. Not a chance! The strength granted me by Erastil is for honest folk, not robbers!"
