I'm p new to tabletop stuff in general and I only just learned about PFS and dont know too much about it, just that its pathfinder but local with special lore and rules? It's something I have marked on my schedule as "check at out comic shop next week" lmao. I guess I'll stick to finding campaigns in friend circles

Anyway any of your points that I don't reply to essentially means "noted and thank you for the input" c:

1.Greatsword because you only get the claws in rage mode and you can't be in rage mode all the time at lower levels and as much as I'd like to be gutsy and hardcore having a weapon to fall back on seems like the smart choice

2.Mentioned multiattack because I've read various instances telling me that if you have claws, a bite is treated as a secondary natural attack which takes a -5 penalty

3.Again I'm still new so I don't even know how often or under what circumstances damage can be multiplied, so that was something I forgot to factor in.If its only during crits then it still seems good to me cuz those dont seem to happen often enough. And the rest just sounded good at the time(from 1d6 to 1d8 and then 2d6 at level 10? sounded good to me)

thanks again for your points!

I'm back with a second question, but this time thanks to much study and the helpful information of the people of this board, I understand a lot more and will better comprehend the lingo.

ANYWAY- Rending claws deals an additional 1d6 damage on the second claw attack made against an enemy that turn.

Would this feat synergize off of Improved Natural Attack on a barbarian raging with lesser beast totem claws?

I guess essentially what I want to know would Improved Natural Attack turn that bonus 1d6 damage(which is the base damage die for a barbarians claws) in to an extra 1d8 damage instead? If its iffy, could it be the DMs prerogative?

I admit, some of this information is still confusing me, as I don't know where or why attacks with manufactered weapon that I am proficient in is getting negative points, but I now feel like I understand the claws better and will be using them to attack when in rage mode from now on

I will also refer my GM to this thread.

I greatly appreciate all comments made and doubly thank all for putting up with me

Dodge and Mobility

My stats are as follows
20 STR
14 Constitution
14 Dexterity
11 Intellegence
9 Wisdom
10 Charisma

I apologize for not grasping this quite right, I only just started playing pathfinder(as in, this is my first tabletop campaign). For all I know, we may even be doing this wrong. I will add context as well as my thought process.

I have a level 4 Female Orc Barbarian using an Orcish Double Battle Axe that deals 1d8 damage. When I am in front of an enemy and using a full round attack, I was given two attack with my two handed Orcish Axe(I COULD make more attack as it is a double weapon, but that would incur two weapon penalties).

If I do not get extra attacks, my thought process is why would I waste an action putting the axe away to take 1d6 damage over 1d8 damage if the bonuses apply to my axe anyway and the claws don't let me make any more attacks than if I used my axe?

Okay, NOW i get it. The claws are more or less pointless if you have a different weapon with higher damage. Meaning I wasted a rage power. Welp.

I see, so having a second claw at all for a barbarian that doesnt take two weapon fighting feats is, essentially, pointless without the greater beast totem.

When in rage mode as a barbarian with this totem you grow two claws that act as natural weapons doing 1d6 damage. During a full round attack, would there be penalties to attack with both claws during each attack so

Attack One consists of:
Claw(Natural)(Right)
Claw (Natural) (Left)

Attack Two consists of:
Claw(Natural)(Right)
Claw (Natural) (Left)

being as these are natural weapons, do you need two weapon fighting to make true use of them?
