m human, Andorian Asha'Man

someones bashing the white tower, wish i was there

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Nope. Eggs?

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Jasper, with the help of Saidan, puts the pots and pans away with the exception of a couple.

well, i suppose i could make breakfast. like eggs? he calls as he steps into the cellar of the kitchen.

a moment later he comes back with a basket filled with eggs.
hmmmm...interesting. Kodokura, when your done asking the lovely Ryvin to the spring formal, could you come assist me with making breakfast?

when he steps up to begin helping, jasper starts talking.
you asked a lot of questions before. hopefully i can assist in answering. jasper pauses and looks at ryvin, zira, litheene, amorial, and the others as the wonder into the room.
what you have before you is a group that appear to be heading towards a common goal. so far they have all worked in sync with each other, but suddenly something causes them to split. in this instance it was the use of an a'dam on an aes sedai. what they lack is a leader. someone who is strong enough to manage all of their individual strengths and direct it, but also holding them accountable for their actions. If there was a strong leader present, i imagine the exchange last night at dinner time would have been much more different. Litheene offered her word of protection, yet didnt exercise her right to protect. Fia ignored litheenes offer of protection, yet allowed Zira and Tali to come along. She claims that they were pressed for time, but i am sure that someone could have stopped them if they wanted to.

pouring the eggs into the large pan, jasper begins to add spices and salt for flavoring.
as for why we are here? we are here to not only help the Lord Dragon reach tarmon gai'don, but to also help the people of the world wherever they need assistance. But also, there is a reason you are here. You needed to get away from the Black Tower. you were becoming too rigid in its ideals. you need more "real world" experience to truly make you an asha'man.

dumping the eggs into a large bowl, jasper picks up the bowl and brings it to the table.
as for who side we are on? i hope you figure that out. Once you answer that, and if the answer is correct, then you will truly be worthy of the title of asha'man

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

nope. just my way of waking everyone up after 8 hours of sleep he says with a smile.

amorial, which tome were you reading?

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Go to her. comfort her. her entire world has fallen apart. show her a kind face. and bring some food. jasper instructs kodokura.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

his face alight with a smile upon his face, jasper hears both litheene's and ryvin's offers, and his smile disappears. What replaces it is a smooth face, no smile, no frown.
and now we see how the White tower offers their leash he replies, still gazing at litheene and ryvin.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

jasper heads back and sits next to Kodokura.
leaning in, his lips nearly touching the mans ears, he barely whispers

kodokura:
well, that was interesting. Let's see what happens next

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

well, that was unexpected!

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

arent dogs, cats, cows, pigs, and other domesticated animals taken against their will? jasper responds to Rylands point.

jasper points not at Zira, but at Tuli.
kill her. take your sword and impale her with it. Death would be better, so you said. Prove it... wait, what did you say? Jasper suddenly spins, looking at alathea.

Of course! a brilliant Idea! We have an Aes sedai who is now a damane who doesnt wish to be uncollared. perhaps it would be in everyones best interest to allow this damane to remain collared, but have one of you- he points at the female channelers, one of you hold the leash, and in the process wean her off of it, or reintroduce her to her former life?

Turning to Zari, he continues. of course, we must also accept the possibility that Tuli may not want to come off the leash. perhaps she likes this new life style. I think if we provide her with every opportunity to make an informed decision, i think that that would work best.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

so you sentence your friend to death. How fascinating. jasper smirks.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

yes, because the society of dueling within ebou dar is its own sort of kennels and torture. different form of leash. If you participated in the duels, then you held the leash yourself...

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

and those that died by your blade are still dead.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

because you are afraid. you are afraid that others might actually look at the idea of using all female channelers in this method. But you are also afraid at the idea that they would do so, yet not utilize the same practices that the Seanchan use. They use the scourge and flail to break your mind and remake you. very quick and to the point.
But what would happen if someone started collaring women, yet they held the collared women to a higher ideal. instead of viewing it as protecting the many at the sake of the few or one, you could see it as elevating the rare individual that can channel but at the cost of their own individuality. they are instead taught that they are the greater sum of humanity, and as such are held to a higher ideal, one where they, the channeler, are the equal to multiple people, and as such they naturally represent the lessors, BUT they are taught how to remove their own individuality to serve the greater good. A beneficial self-sacrifice. But in order to be stripped of individual, you, the channeler, must be willing to don the collar. For the collar is the ultimate sign of self-sacrifice, where one puts the good of the many over themselves, while the greater populace recognizes the rare individual and places the few or one individual into a position to enhance humanity.

Pulling a book out, jasper leans against a shelf and begins to peruse the inside.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Ryvin,I'm sure your friends felt the same way when you first joined up. a stranger in the midst, unsure to trust you, or if you will run off and abandon them. Perhaps if you set aside your intense anger and hatred, you would find that you are the more stronger for it. I know I did when dealing with the women in Salidar, although i had an intense hatred for all female channelers. As you can see. Jasper rolls up his sleeves and shows off his horrific burns on his arms.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

i have indeed spent some time studying these items. THe M'Hael instructed me to learn as much of these as i could, since it was possible to use portal stones and not have any enemy channelers detect their usage. as for where one lines, well, rumor had it that within the throne room of Manetheren itself there was a stone.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

hey now, thats my girl!!!

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

a far off look overcomes Jaspers face.
I feel, better he says, turning towards his men. as if, a weight, no, a taint, has been lifted off of me. This is wonderful! Please, can you do this again? to the others? he asks, wonderment in his voice.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Jasper and the men stop what they are doing, and stare at Ryvin.
Ease the madness? Jasper asks, looking at Ryvin and then at the men.
Show me he commands, getting off his horse and approaching Ryvin.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Thats putting it mildly, Jasmine. Influence with the hall.
And suddenly, he laughs, a laugh that sounds odd, almost on the point of hysteria. Coughing suddenly, he glances about, his features stoic.
Sorry. I let myself get carried away. his voice devoid of emotion.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

awesomeness all around!!!

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Looking at Ryvin.
what kind or Saidar-spun ward? none that i am aware of. Hence my stipulation that a Forsaken is in the Tower.
As for how they got so many greal? The tower has been collecting them for the last millennia. Tear also collects and stores, since they are adamant to ignore its existence.
As for proof..I am the proof. I have spent the last month inside that city, maintaining a low profile. I sat back, watched. Counted. I even observed when Eladia paraded the Dragon through the streets. Very interesting performance on her part. A great way to show the world that she is in control.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

You mean, aside from having to deal with over 100 Aes Sedai, several hundred Accepted and novice? There would be the 32,000 tar valon soldiers to deal with, the entire city warded to alert the Aes Sedai should a man channel within the city limits, The patrols that Aes Sedai do with the city guard, the fact that every aes sedai has been granted some sort of 'greal, be it ter, an or sa'an. The fact that 26 sisters are rotated on an hourly basis whilest they guard the Dragon. Or perhaps the fact that at least one Forsaken has taken residence within the Tower. Take your pick. Again, spoken in the same monotone voice, like an accountant tallying bags of rice for market.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Well, i'm not one to talk much about virtue. But for competency, I am well aware of what the M'Hael wishes to do, as i designed the entire strategy for rescuing the Dragon. I know the full disposition of troops that we have, the forces available to us, the forces that are available to the Rebels in Salidar, and the reason why the Rebels haven't made a move yet upon the Tower.
I also know that in order for any motion to be carried through, a lesser consenseous is enough to carry the motion, provided a Quorum has been established. There will be power plays, you Aes Sedai will attempt to muddle in the affairs of us Asha'man, demands will be made, a superiority complex on a massive scale will have to be dealt with, all while making the Hall think that they came up with the idea of rescuing the Dragon and that I was just a guy passing through.
Is that proof of competency? Or do i need to explain to you how you think that you choose that chair you're sitting in just because the M'hael pulled it out for you?

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Greetings. I am Jasper. Jasper Firewyn. I will be leading the detachment of Asha'man with you to Salidar, and will enter Salidar to speak with the Amrylin. It is a pleasure to meet you all he says in a tone devoid of emotion.

Were you in an a'dam when they said it? :p

nope. Just burning the city of Tanchico to the ground. :)

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

and people say I'm crazy

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

jasper looks like a man who was just on fire, and then got Healed, and now is currently passed out on the floor in the building. :)

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

jonasty, if youd like, you can go ahead and make a character.
Being a lover of WOT, i am sure you can come up with a kick-ass character...

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

OOOO that would be cool. rotating DM sounds fun.

as for badass male channeler, He will still be there, for a little bit. When it becomes convienent for Jasper to go away from the party, he will. But, he will come back after "training" lol.

BTW, first post is up, so feel free to start again. RizzenMagnus is my DM alias.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Hmmmmmm.... I have an idea in the back of my head as to how this adventure will play out, so I will take over as DM, if no one objects and since Jonasty has given the blessing for anyone to take over.

Keep an eye on the board for a post to continue the adventure...

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Indeed jonasty, this was great! Loved the plot line!

as for continuing the story with the same characters, I could easily tie this group in with my WOT adventure im running...but again, if Jonasty is up for allowing it.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

What kind of PC issues you having alathea?

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Watching everyone walk past him, Jasper just grunts out loud Well, sure, why not have everyone walk in like a cows to a poisoned pond

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

so the back alley way is crowded as well? cuz i went to the back door and popped the lock there.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

In a distracted tone, Jasper says simply trying to see what happened in here, if anything happened for that matter. Isn't that what you are doing?

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Nodding to the information that Jed and Ryland present, Jasper speaks up above the roar of the crowd in a dead voice

Ok. My turn

Beckoning the others to follow him, Jasper walks to the back door. Wrestling control of saidan, Jasper turns into back yard. In mid step he channels some small flows of air around the door knob and wrenches the knob out of the first floor door.

Shoving the door open jasper stops and looks about, looking for signs of a struggle, in both physical and with the one power.

perception check taking 20 33
weavesight check for one power usage (-15 for length of time) taking 20 23

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Wearing the black coat buttoned up to his chin, Jasper looks about, staring at random people, looking for threats to come. The large press of people, the ducking, the screaming, the shouting, the hollering, it is too much for Jasper. Images of Dumai Wells, the battle, the screams, the slaughter, flash in his head.
People brushing against him startle him, words that should be heard are drowned out in a rapidly rising roar in his head.
Breathing heavily, eyes flashing about, Jasper feels the pressure to escape.

Embracing saidan, Jasper suddenly pauses. The detachment in the void brings to him a sense of peace, tranquility. The roaring in his head is subsummed by the roar of the crowd. A slight smirk touches his lips, scaring off a couple kids. Dropping saidan but not the Void, Jasper appears relaxed, calm.

in a cold detached voice, Jasper steps up to Alathea, a hand goes to her shoulder and gives a reassuring squeeze. i am right behind you.

with that, Jasper walks with Alathea as the rest of the group talks to people looking for this lost woman.

a slight itch seems to reveal itself as he walks about. a small buzz at the back of his head. at one point, Jasper concentrates on it, and is not surprised to discover what the itch is.

more the voices begin to say
more the voices whine, falling away to a simple hiss.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Silently following the servant to his room, Jasper drops his bag onto the floor and pulls out some clean cloths. wait a moment, sir he says to the servant. Getting undressed, he hands his dirty clothes to the servant. Please have these washed for me tonight. i appreciate it

Walking down the hall in a towel at his waist, Jasper easily finds the communal bathing room. Jumping in, he splashes water all over him, and soaps off the travel of the road, and is detached when he discovers chunks of human flesh dropping out of his hair into the bath. Jasper sits and stares at it, reflecting back onto what all has happened these past 4 days.

Shaking his head, he finishes up his bath and towels off. Putting on clean clothes, and a clean black jacket. Taking a moment to polish the pins, Jasper carefully buttons up the jacket and walks down stairs, a withdrawn look from his face.

Coming down the stairs, Jasper sees Alathea at a table with Fia. Walking up to the table, Jasper takes the chair right next to Alathea, pouring his own glass of wine, and topping of Alathea's and Fia's.

so anyone know what is good to eat here?

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Lead on Jasmine. Jasper says, riding close to Alathea, a stern gaze at those that come to close to her.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

darn...a +3 Angreal wouldve been nice :)

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Shoot, i just remembered this...grrr....

Jonasty, what would be the chances of me finding Rand's angreal amongst the wagons? I meant to ask this two weeks ago, but forgot it til now. I know this is a long shot...

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Hold up a second, Ryland. Before we go charging into Cairhein, there is something I need to say to everyone.

Looking at Alathea for a moment, Jasper turns to the group as they look at him.

For the past couple days, I have been trying to get you all together to say something that is long overdue. Yet Aes Sedai and wise one's business' always got in the way. Well since we are free from the distractions pausing as he sees the masses of soldiers and Aiel around the group, Jasper smirks Well, free as can be expected. Here is what i have to say.

Taking a deep breath, Jasper's face grows somber and serious I am sorry for the way I have acted these past few months. Especially in Tanchico. It only took a battle of this magnitute to get me to realize that you are all friends of mine, and have been looking out for me, as I have been looking out for all of you. I realize this now, and so I wanted to say that I am truly sorry.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

WOOT WOOT!!! good to be back!

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

congrats on the house jed! i know your pain! the housework is never done.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Jasper stares out into the mass graveyard, crows pecking at the dead bodies in the hundreds. Staring at crows that stare back at him with awareness. Shrugging his shoulders, he turns his awareness back to Alathea.
I think we should seek out Fia first. As you said, i am sure she would welcome a friendly face. Besides, i think she would prove to be helpful in finding Ryland.

Pausing a moment, Jasper nods to himself. Let's swing by the others on our way to Fia. By having me with the group, it'll make things easier for them to move about, should they wish it.

Turning, Jasper leads Alathea towards the Aes Sedai that have sworn to the Dragon, which is where Jasmine, Jed, and Litheene are. As he walks, Jasper squeezes her hand in a comforting manner. Wouldn't worry about the old hags. They will be spending too much time staring at me than at you he finishes with a chuckle.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

what a weekend. Rained so hard it woke up my kids from the thunder. Almost broke a few windows from the shock waves

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

SO make it a +5 vs shadowspawn, not shadowsworn.

hmmm...if this template keeps, then i may want to be bonded, lol

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

time to time? Jasper asks in the same stern manner, only to finally bust out laughing. Oh Bloody creator, we are too funny. Yes, Alathea, I will help you in anyway you need Jasper finishes, giving her hand a squeeze.

Looking around, Jasper attempts to find his fellow companions throughout the encampment. Easily he spots Litheene, Jasmine and Jed standing next to a wagon.
well, i see jed, jasmine, and Litheene, and the last i saw of Fia she was being dragged by her hair by a wise one while some of her maiden friends were tearing off her clothes. I am sure she is with her own people, doing whatever, but i think we can get her to come join us. But i havent seen Ryland since the battle. Perhaps we best get ourselves together before looking for Ryland.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

damn that work for getting in the way of important gaming!!!

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Jasper nods, grasping Alathea's hand in a almost bone crushing grip. His trembling seems to slow as he fully registers the touch of her hand in his.
perhaps all is not lost, if i can still get frustrated and whine like a muley woman he says in a snide tone directed towards himself.

Taking a deep breath, and looking skyward to calm down, Jasper looks back at Alathea, looking at her in the eye. A smile cracks his stern face. Thank you Alathea. I know now that you are a friend of mine, as i am towards you. I do apologize for all the grief i have given you from Tanchico til now.

Still holding her hand, he says I owe everyone an apology for the way i had been acting, and now, i think, is the best time to do it. Will you help me, for support?
