"Thank you Gregor, Once more for your Support. I would very much like to travel with you to Eleder and clear my name. I hope these documents are proving my innocence and can finally help to put the real culprits tio justice."

The other survivors from the wreck of the also take not time in deciding to leave that unhospitable place, broken curse or not.

"I am afraid we have bad news."Jask replies to Shalissas question.

"Sasha went on a hunting trip a few days ago but never returned. We found signs of a battle but no bodies. So we decided that there is still hope to be had and started to follow you trying to find you.".

Jask and the others seem to be honestly worried.

F Human Priest of Nethys |

After the relative peacefulnees of the last week, Jask is surprised by Gregors words, but he understands his fears. Together with Gelik and Aerys he goes about planing how to better shore up the defenses and promises to take extra care in the coming days.

"Thanks for doing all this for us and looking for a way to get off that island. I will ask Nethy to bless your endeavour. and I am sure we will meet each other in 5 days time."

F Human Priest of Nethys |

After a few hours of work, brioken up only by the midday heat, you have most things you plan to take with you on top of the cliff. Its still 2 hours until sundown, when Jask approaches Gregor.

"Gregor, I still need to pay you back for what you have done to me. Allow me to teach you a focusing mantry which I learned to help me concentrate."

Everybody else is invited to take part.
You will have to spend some time with Jask in the coming days, costing you a day in your camp relocation, but will learn something useful.

Davor shows Aerys the locket, opening it to show her the name inscribed. "We also wrapped the body and gave him a sea burial. Hopefully that'll quiet his spirit. One less ghost wandering this island might help a little...."

When Davor shows the locket around, Jask also comes over. When seeing the lady he thinks for a while before remmebering.

"Yes now I know where I heard that name before. When I was working in the Port of Sargava a man came by to see my superior from time to time, and he was often in the company of that woman. I remember because when they had discussions in private she was loften left outside sitting with me. I had a hard time getting any work done, because I was always distracted by her beauty."

When Jask points that out, Aerys also adds in "Yes you are right that is the Kinkarians woman, she was famed for her beauty especially her long red hair."

"What do you mean Shalissa? You found documents? what documents, what do they say? Will I be surely be able to get back home?" Jask can't wait to see what you have found.

When you show him the books he exclaims " Wow this is even better! He clearly names his co-conspirators. And he had the same operation running in Bloodcove. The authorities in Sargava will reward you handsomely for this one. You can collect my bounty and a lot more with this book Gregor."

Then he steps up to the bounty hunter and speaks solemnly "I owe you my eternal thanks, Gregor. I should have seen earlier that you posess a good heart and trusted to ask for your help."

Gregor was gathering his gear and spoke up as Davor talked and Jask said it sounded familiar It seems to be to be a spirit, from your description Davor. Could it have been someone you knew before Jask? Does the description remind you of the ship Captain of the Brine Demon? or was the woman on the ship with you?
Quote:
"He had a hook, instead of one of his hands. None of our crew had that."

"I think you are right, this definitely sounds like a pirate captain. And I remember I heard, that Captain Kinkarian is supposed to have a hook for a hand, although thats barely a distinction between the digs from the shackles."

Realizing what he just said he looks at Aerys and adds ."No offense to you. But your this guys have cost me my Hometown and my freedom."

"Ashemara, Ashemara? I think I've heard the name somewhere, but I can't remeber where. Maybe if we find out a bit more I will remeber."

Earlier when Kerndrew asked about moving camp.
"Since you want to move fast to find that campfire, may I suggest the following. You urry to that place and n your way back you look for a suitable camping spot. In the meantime we can prepare our things for moving and me and Hewit can heal some more."

F Human Priest of Nethys |

"Yes I probably have been naive. In trusting my superior and in believing Sargava would forget. But I am happy you guys are willing to trust me and search for that ship. I would very much like to see my hometown again. And my sisters family. I believe her kids must have almost grown up by now. "

"Why did they put a bounty on your head? Why would they do that?" the elf asks more with a surprised tone than judgmental.

Do we know where is the Brine Demon shipwrecked?

"A few years ago a pirate Captain manged to bribe a port official in Sargava. The man sold information about shipp routes and valuable cargo to the pirates. I am convinced it was my superior who did the deed. But my superoir found aout about my suspcion and turned things around, and pinned the crimes on me. I managed to flee but have been leaving in exile ever since."

You have yet to find the Brine Demon. You have found already two other shipwrecks on the outer coast.

You have yet to find any trail on this island. You have not noticed any noticable difference between walking on the coast and through the jungle. There is a dimorphodon nest about three hours to the east.

Shalissa observes Jack free hands then looks at Gregor "So he is some kind of guard or a reward hunter?"

"He is trying to earn the bounty Sargava put on my capture. If that is his profession, he needs to tell you himself."

Quote:

Touching the man's front delicately the elf adds "Red Ache, a minor jungle disease. You should be better in a few days Jack. It seems you might manage to have an opportunity to find clearance proof. Let's see if we can find this Brine Demon"

"Yes Gregor promised me to look for it. I really hope you can succeed."

F Human Priest of Nethys |

"Almost the same as yours. We travveled to Sargave and our ship sunk, possibly through some treachery by our captain and some other passenger."

"But I assume you asked, why I was on the ship. Well gregor asked me VERY convincingly to accompany him back to Sargava to be brought to court there. Fortunately I was able to convince him by now, that I am more useful with my hands unchained", he points to some rejected Handcuffs lying in the back of the cave.

"Maybe I am even able to prove my innocence to him, now that fate has brought us to the island where Avret Kinkarian stranded with his Brine demon."

Heal check Infromation:
Jask has Red Ache a minor jungle disease. He needs to make two consecutive saves to be healed, and has currently managed one.
Hewit has Demon Fever, a deadly jungle disease meant to be a deus ex machina, so please dont waste your remove disease potion on him.

"Salvete mulier elvanus. Quid tandem huius insulae"

in Common:
Greetings Elf woman. How did you get starnded on this island.

Quote:
Jask Can you tell me how Hewitt is faring? and what he has? should quarantine him? Is there a danger of passing it onto us?

"We are not really sure. He has been unconcious and very weak since yesterday. But jungle diseases are mosly carried by insects or or hazards."

Davor Krill wrote:
"I'm not sure other than we need to get further along in exploring. Cutting through the jungle is hard work. But once we have trails we can go farther and learn more about what is on the island. For all we know, there might be natives that would work with us. But we have to find them!"

"You are certainly right, but so far we haven't found neither trails nor natives. But Sasha did tell me, that you heared about a woman living out in the west. Maybe she can tell us more about this island."

Davor Krill wrote:
"Is there something important for you that we might encounter? An animal, or another ship wreck? We've seen a couple of those so far. And I'm sure there will be more."

"Nice of you to ask. As I told Gregor already, The Brine Demon was a ship of a pirate captain, who was in league with my superior in the conspiration. If you would find his ship, there might be some proof that it wasn't me but my superior who sold the information to the pirates"

Later back at the camp
-----------------------------

"Thank you for finding the medicine. I am sure it will help me and getting better soon with some care from the others.", the priest tells Davor once the party returns. "I am sure with the help of the ointment Gelik can get me back up in no time."

"But what are your plans? Have you found out anything helpful on your trip? I remember you planned a longer expedition tomorrow. Where will you be heading to?"

F Human Priest of Nethys |

Jask Heal: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 Honestly thats the third 1 in a row I rolled on that board. Sure the dice is not broken.

"I am not sure myself. I believe its transmitted through insect bites. This is why we left the fire burning with a little bit of smoke in the evenings. But it must have gotten to me anyway."

Disease Mechanics:

Diseases have an onset time, after which you will make daily rolls to avoid Ability damage. If you make a certain number of consecutive saves (typically 2) you are cured. A character taking care of the patient full time and making a successful heal check can improve the saving throw by 4.

Heal DC 12or Survival 15:

Red Ache
Onset time 1d3 days
Frequency: 1/day
Effect: 1d6 STR
Cure: 2 Consecutive saves

The leafs of the neem tree can be ground into a paste to help reduce the rash.
Effect: if you find some I will allow a unskilled character to tend to the patients if a healer succesfully prepares the paste

F Human Priest of Nethys |

Fortitude DC 15: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

In the morning Jask is feeling very weak and takes his time to get up. Further inspection shows a red rash on his legs and arms.

Hewit please also make a Fortitude save DC15 or suffer similar symptoms.
