Jarrish grins savagely as he takes in the demon cursed ettin. Besides gathering personal power and knowledge, defeating powerful and new monsters was what drove him, and this thing looked impressively powerful. Finally! Something interesting to kill Stepping in carefully, Jarrish uses his magics to shield himself before charging his blade with magic and striking. swift to charge blade (+1), move to b2b, spell combat to cast shield (defensive casting), attack Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 1 - 2 = 13

Peering into the cave Jarrish grumbles, "Hmm. Seems dark. Let's shed some light." with that he casts light on his sword before holding it aloft and venturing into the cave. I can keep light on something, and I'll probably march in the second or first row

Jarrish looks at the cave speculatively, "An ettin you say? Cant say I've killed one of those yet. Mangled limbs, I wonder if its deformed, or injured?"

"Sacrifice? That sounds ominus... " the elf muses as he looks thoughtfully at the cave, reviewing his combat magics ge has prepared this day.

Jarrish grunts. "Well then, I guess we better go look in this cave. Get that amulet back." looking at the group, "Drag these ner'do'els back to town first? Or just let them wait here?" Looking around, "I suppose we could load em on the cart."

Jarrish stows his sap and retrieves his longsword as the group secures the stunned foes. Then he stands and let's the group interrogate their captives, as talking to the lesser races was never his strong suit. In truth, talking to anyone wasnt among his more notable skills. Yet he cannot help himself from snorting derisively ar the tiefling's pointless and pathetic death threats "And yet you are helpless on the ground and we stand here, victorious. I say let the dwarf tear this one up, then we'll talk to the kids." He assumed the group would probably think he was bluffing, but he wasnt... not really.

Jarrish looks up at the dwarf while working securing and checking the prisoners. "Unfortunately you were perephitally involved in a magical attack that neutralized these foes. No permanent damage occurred from the spell, but" looking at the dwarf's bleeding wound, he suggests "They each have a restorative potion here, I suggest you use one. It's only fair since they caused the harm." I assume you did take a hit, either way we can divvy up the consumables for now. Probably.

Calming his breathing as both remaining foes fall to his awesome magics. Jarrish takes a moment to compose himself, making sure not to let his immense pride at his superior skills show on his face as he was often accused of "elven arrogance" and decided to mask it, for the time being. "I have some rope. Let us secure these and fi d out what is going on." looking over the collected gear, he comments "Well equipped, hmm."

Seeing the way cleared by their wizard, Jarrish responds in kind, chanting out a quick spell and launching another dazzling blast of color and light into their foes. Color spray. Should be able to tag orange and red without hitting anyone but the unconscious torsen. DC 14

Cursing that the dwarf both started killing the kids they were supposed to save, possibly at least, AND that the fighter managed to put himself in the perfect spot to stop the elf from incapacitating them both with a spell, he drops his longsword and draws the new sap as he moves into melee range, charging the blunt weapon with magics as he does so. Jarrish grunts, "The cave that contains some monster of the stick drawings are to be believed." he then sighs, "But you see correct, let us check there." Pathfinders, always delving into caves or ruins or some such nonsense. At least it's not a sewer."

Jarrish looks over the slope with some interest, noticing the cart. "I say we check that campsight first, then the hot. I mislike the looks of that cave, I'd like to get the rest cleared before we head into it." Drawing his longsword and recalling the words of power for his prepared spells, the elf moves towards the campsite.

Jarrish steps forward and selects a sap, thanking Yarla for her generosity and solving a potential pitfall of bringing in the kids safely if they truly were the ner'do'els the town was making them out to be. I am hoping the solution isn't to have to travel back to Absalom with two kids hog tied in the wagon, that will be inconvenient Checking over his gear and prepared spells, he inquires of his group. "We ready to get moving?"

Jarrish does his best to gather what information he could, wandering the festival asking few questions an raptly soaking any historical information he can. Unfortunately his arrogant, aloof, elvish manner puts many people off. He was never gifted with gab, and dealing with "normal" people and races tired him. Jarrish sits with the group, having been silent in study for much of the trip. Agreeing to bunk together, Jarrish looks on the hot food and ale with relish, eagerly partaking in both as they get settled. Whe Moose shows up, Jarrish nods politely to the newcomer, simply saying "Greetings. I'm Jarrish" Once the group settles and has eaten and washed the road dust from their throats, he venture "Where shall we begin? Though skilled in both blade and magic, I confess my skills are more potent in combat than an investigation. "

Tall, slim, and silent like much of his race, Jarrish stood in the rear of the room almost motionless during the briefing. Simply watching the room with his green eyes, bald head crinkled in a frown of consternation at the mention of being saddled with wayward brats. Luckily the mention of dealing with a priest if some frost giant cult sounded far more interesting, especially with ancient artifacts possibly thrown into the mix. I joined the pathfinders for knowledge and power, not to babysit some adolescent brats, regardless of their parentage Still, he did have a question. "These kids, how are they misbehaving?" Not having any further questions he starts to lift his kit, simple backpack full of survival gear, longsword, spell book, the usual for a warrior mage like himself, then hears the dwarf speak up about meeting the dragon. "Yes, meeting one such as Aurelliax would be worth the journey. I agree." He was still, in fact, looking forward to the journey as he had never been to Brevoy and always treasured journeying to new places. |
