Thats why i wont use it that often. I am sharing the DM place with two others from our group. And that means they will want their revenge as soon as i am Dming again. I must be careful with that combo.
But it is a great way so save a PC from getting that big hit when they are standing in front with 1 Hp and got a critical hit aiming for their head.
I d like to share with you some major points of my oracles story. Maybe this will get you some insight and additional ideas for him.
Ok, lets begin.
Currently my dwarf is coming back from the south of golarion after visiting his family in their hometown. The past couple of years he was a trader/adventurer with his best friend Doran (The wizard of our group) and his Dust Mephite "Slynt" (his familiar which i play when i am DM. Imagine him played as jafars red parrot from disneys alladin).
After so many years adventuring and making money from obscure trades around katapesh the both needed a change of air and split up with the intention to reunite after some time. They say katapesh is the city of opportunities but lets be onest. When you didnt saw everything in katapesh after 15 years you did something seriously wrong!
Doran, being the intelligent brain in their group saw a announcement at the market, that a new kingdome by the name of "Serkrahl" within the riverlands was found (we are playing kingmaker) and he, always searching for new challenges, saw a chance to proove himself in a bigger way. Though his Dust-Mephite Slynt acustomed to the sandy lands of katapesh wasnt that overwhelmed when he heard of the Riverlands, especially the traveling per boat part, agreed after a hard argument to join this big adventure.
"Devic" the dwarf was planning to visit his family for a long time now, but their success in katapesh wouldnt give him any free time to visit the great halls of his ancestors in the south of nex. So the three departet on the first day of Autumn. Doran and Slynt made their way to Serkrahl on a little boat called the riverqueen.
Devic joined a Cohort of sellswords aiming for NEx and after that made his way back to the halls of Rokvin where his family is living for 600 now.
being the only son in a family of dwarves was hard to accomplish especially with his urge to adventuring. Being stuck in a underground city wasnt Devics dream.
When he finally arrived he found the City Rokvin in a desolate state. His father the cleric and patron of the city always has been a misterious man, and the new statues and temples of him, davic found all around in his homecity, couldnt been a good sign.
He found his father obviously mad and possessed in the middle of the marketplace holding a speech about devotion to the gods. The people of Rokvin were gathered around him covered in fright and listening to his talk about sacrifices every dwarf has to make.
His father Grimson Morradum was introducing the new laws of faith. The part that stood out for him was the part where his father talked about the sacrificing oh the oldest sons every family had to make.
The dwarves of Rokvin were newer known for their warm welcomes but this was harsh, even for the proud golddwarfs.
Long story short, Devic was never the guy who believed in a higher power, nor was he a big fan of sacrifices. He noticed that no one in the crowd stood up to his father. not even the strongest dwarves said a word. A cold silence fell over the marketplace after the last word was spoken, disturbed only by Devics crunchy voice raising in the dark.
"hello father, long time no see. Tell me, how did you manage it to go all crazy with the gods, become a mad man and start to take young dwarves from their mothers teets to throw them in flaming pits on the marketplace where we once bought our turnips? What happened to the good ole man that used to beat me bloody when i spoke up to him and throw a hammer at me when i left here 15 years ago? I mean is it too much to ask to not go mental in 15 years?"
And mother" he adressed his words to his fathers wife" was it so hard to give a slight warning before coming here? Maybe a little. Hello Devic. I hope you are alright and like the jerky and pie i sent you. Ah and by the way. You father went mad and wants to kill you when you come back home. Love Ma."
His fathers eyes became a white shimmer and with a deep voice he cryied out " and as a sign of my own devotion, and as a vanguard of our faith i will show you the true meaning of sacrifice. By giving my own son and heir to the flaming pits of our god." He grabbed for his hammer and went slowly into the crowed.
Devic loved big speaches as much as he loved big battles and drew his two handed warhammer.
"Father, i hope this whole thing is just an not well thought out welcome play as a homecoming party. Because if you continue to walk up to me with that mad shimmering in your eyes and that spit running down from your beard i will defend myself!"
His father, now almost 10 feet away from him startet to shout "Boy, accept your fait, and take it with grace. YOu will be the first soul who is sacrificed to our god. Lay down your weapon and follow me to the pit."
Devic, who now realised that the talking part was over, and his chance to clear the situation without doing any harm hold tight to his hammer and approached his father. commited to not strike the first blow on his father, he got into a devensice stance hold his hammer in front of him.
As a tarder in Katapesh he encountered many scoundrels, and fought many fights after one of their trades went awefully wrong, but this time it was his own father standing in front of him. Devic never attacked an innocent being. But how innocent is a man who wants to sacrifice children to some strange god of his?
The first strike came almost to slow. His father attacked with a mighty overhead blow, but devic had no prblem parrying it with his hammer. His father seemed to drift up into a wild fury attacking his son with mighty blows from all sides.
"I warn you father. Another blow and i will strike back."
His father answered just with a big strike aiming for his head.
Devic, standing astonished about the whole situation answered with a light blow himself. he hit his father on his silver breastplate letting him fumble 2 steps back from the swing.
"You cant succeed against faith boy" His father said in his rage.
The two fought for a minute when finally Devic got the upper hand bringing his father out of balance and knocking him to the floor with a mighty swing to the head. His father, looking him straight into his eyes, raised his hand and murmured something in a language Devic never had heard before.
A ray of dark light errupted from his fathers Hand and exploded in Devics shoulder.
The only time Devic saw someone use magic was in Katapesh, and never had he saw such a dark beam of arkane light before. His shoulder was pirced and started bleeding heavily.
Fearing for his live Devic raised his hammer above his had.
"I am sorry father. I am sorry that it came to this"
With a devastating strike Devics Hammer crushed his fathers head, leaving blood on every dwarf sdtanding next to them.
no one was talking. Devic, standing there, blood leaking out of his shoulder looked around him and stared into emtpy eyes. His mother starting to weep silently.
Suddenly he heard a voice echoing in his head. Speaking in unknown tongues he never listened to before. With a shattering pain in his head he fell to the floor screaming in agony.
The voices in his head started to take on familiar sounds and he heard his fathers voice in his head.
"Son....You should have never come here. This is my curse. And now it is yours.
The evil spirits where haunting me for so long. I must thank you for freeing me from the shackles of my faith, but now it is on you to wear the grudge that was possessing me for such a long time now. For years i managed to withstand them, but i am too, just a mortal soul, and i wasnt strong enough. I am sorry my son. I hope you can forgive me when we reunite in the deep halls of our ancestors. I am sorry my son, so sorry"
The voice inside his head vanished and a strange prickling went all over his skin. A wave of force errupted from his fathers dead body pushing away the other dwarfs that were standing next to him.
"What in the 9 hells....?!?" Davic shouted out when he saw parts of his gear flying away from his belt. His sack of coins falling down to the floor and his hand axe twisting in his strap.
"What madness is this?" No one spoke a word. Not even his mother, still standing in the middle of the market square right next to the fire.
He stood up, holding his aching head.
Some of the dwarves left the place silent trying to avoid his eyes.
" Whatever you did" Davic shoutet out to his former fellow dwarves"you brought that on yourselves. Ad i wont be part of this! You are on your own people of Rokvin. This is what you get for worshipping all sorts of devils and mad gods."
He grabbed for his hammer and put it on his back.
"This is the last time you will see me. This is the last time a sane soul will take a foot in this damned place. I hope you all die and go to hell for the sins you commited".
Davic tourned around to leave. Not a single word was spoken on his way out. And the last thing he heard was the quiet crackling of the fire, his family build to kill innocent beings.
The following couple of weeks Devic went without company back to the north. With no clear thought and not a single night with more then 2 hours of sleep he searched a purpose or even some activity to banish the thoughts that were roaming his head. At least the headache began to fade after a weak.
he started to notice strange things. Every night he layed awake at his campfire he saw tiny stones rolling around. he saw parts of his gear hopping on the floor or even flying 5 feet away from him.
"Thanks old man. you were never gifted with the art of giving good presents, but this time you really screwed up."
He started to hammer bolts in his gear when he rested so he could attach it to the ground at night. He even began to lock his weapons to his hands with leather straps, thinking that this would be probably the worst power a magician ever received.
He saw Doran his old companion dozens of times creating fire with his hands or levitating things into the air and sometimes he was even jealous that he wasnt blessed with such a gift.
"Thats what you get for being jealous, Devic" he thought "You slayed your father, abandoned your family and you are now able to loose your things by some crude magic. Maybe Doran knows what to do. He always seemed to know anything when it cam to magic. I should pay a visit to that old scumbag."
So Devic decided to make his way to the riverlands. With nothing holding him back now the world was free of boundaries.
he was aiming for the next ship that set sails to Serkrahl.
"Every new kingdome is in dire need of a dwarf. Especially of one that can throw around his stuff, with no intention to do so." Davic shouted into the empty night. And while he attached his things to his belt he began to notice the smell of salt that was lying in the air. There was a harbour nearby. "Doran will s$+% his breaches when he will hear this story."
And the dwarf dissapeared behind the trees in the darkness that was broken by the first rays of the morning sun.
And thats what happens when you got too much time on a saturday. Thanks for those that read till the end. Maybe you get some new ides based on the background story.

"the Bane weapon sounds nice. but isnt it getting weak in late levels when i have to switch my, by then probably better weapon for a +1bane weapon (2d6)?"
Not sure what you mean?
But - if I understand you correctly - yes ancestral weapon has it's time. For a few levels gettimg a +3 weapon with +2d6 dam against what your fighting is great. But at lvl 12 you can get a +3 Weapon from GMW - which will work all day - still it's more damage - but time WILL run out for the spell. But then remember you only get of one 1round/lvl buff spell per encounter and lvl 8 spell have divine vessel/fightfull Aspect - once you get one of them the time has run out (and maybe before - if you get enough gold to buy a better weapon)
Note the diffence between orc and abyssal eldrich heritage is fluff and:
orc - wastes a feat om skill focus survial, but all the powers are good.
abyssal - skill focus knowledge (planes) - can be quite usefull, but the 1 lvl power: claws are only limited usefull.
Also - 3 feat could be enough - for the eldrich line.
just buy a Robes of Arcane Heritage (which in parthfinder can be worn under your armor).
And a witch in the party - you are gonna love the witch/oracle with misfortune combo. The witch tries to make some think unlucky or sleep - you use misfortune if the target seems lucky with his dice the first time around...
About the bane thing. You understood it right, though i didnt expressed it properly.
I wont take the orc bloodline, since i am a dwarf and it wont fit into my story. I will consider the abysall bloodline when i am lvl 13 and got spare feats.
The claw power is something i just will need when i am captured and have no weapon. But then i also would have the ancestral weapon for that purpose. so this will be a "one time in the whole game" ability. The +6 to STR on the other hand will come in very handy at all lvls.
I just read divine vessel. awesomest buff i ever read!
The witch and i will make very annoying combo for our DM. Shes always upset when some of her "i will cripple the BBEG to oblivion" spells fail.
I really like all the reroll abilities of my oracle. I am a sucker when it comes to important rolls and this will give me another chance once in a while.

You sir, are right!
We have a group of a witch, a paladin, a inquisitor and a mage. They have their own buffs.
And with blessing of fevor they should be very happy. I love that buff already.
The abyssal bloodline looks good. But i wont have any use for the other stuff from that bloodline. Still might reconsider it since i am not that featdependant.

So i must choose that CHA to use 9th spells before lvl 20. Ah, gotcha. That makes it a lot more sensible, all things considered. I'd still probably go Str 16, Con 12, but I can see doing it the other way. I didnt rolled my hit dice...im kinda afraid so i choose a higher Con.
I will check out the eldritch heritage. This is completely new to me and i have to read through it first.
So much help. Thank you guys.

It still should be a good skill since im proficient with it no matter what weapon it is.
And any magic effect is nice too. I think i will be able to switch the spell if it gets too weak lategame.
i cant find defending bone either.
I read the guide to oracles. Its really good. but it doesnt cover the spells.
btw the link isnt working.
What?? I spent like two months going over all the spells! There's a link to part 2 at the very top of the guide.
Or, you know, you can just click here. :D Just flew over the spell guide. awesome as the first part. Thanks man. You are saving a magic newby hours!

I will get a ring and a belt to get STR up when i start at lvl 7. for CON i will search for a good item. Since no one of the group needs 1 in CON i should get it without arguing.
The stats you postet came to mind too, but i choose to take 15/15 because of the items i will get.
I didnt made dumpstats (7) because i dont like min/maxed heroes. just my personal opinion on that. No offense.
thanks for the thoughts and advice.

You need PA at lvl 3 to gain something from Furious focus
So drop toughness - take extra revalation at lvl 1
lvl 3 PA
Lvl 5 Forious focus
hi, thanks for the answer.
I forgot to mention, that i am lvl 7 when i jump in. Of course i will choose Power attack at lvl 5 and furious focus at lvl 7.
Good advice with the spells. I will keep that in mind. Some of them seem like revelations from other mysteries. For example ancestral weapon cant be found as a spell. (And misfortune it is !)
I will stay with the battle mystery.
I am not a big fan of combat maneuvers. I will pass them. We dont really play with combat ma. in our group.
Thanks, that really helped a lot.

Hi guys,
i recently played a monk of the four winds. I got some build advice, which was more of a "play another class" advice.
The problem i got with my monk is the CHA dumpstat. I hate to play low CHA hereos. So i searched a bit around and founf the new oracle class.
The dependence on CHA is a big pro for me, and the freedome of any allignement is sweet too. I hate to play lawful good (lawful stupid) hereos.
Also i had the idea of playing a dwarf for some time. Nothing better then a good old dwarf in a group. TO overcome the -2 CHA racial mod. i choosed to play a golden dwarf from 3.5 i think. The DMs are ok with that.
The hero i made seems very great from a fluff perspective and i dont have to deal with my forrest gumpish monk anymore.
SO here are my two questions:
What do you think about my build, and what what ways of saying bye bye to my monk to you have?
I am new to divine casters so i will need some help with spells. I am no fan of save or die, or anything like that spells. We dont really use them in our group.
Any ideas for feats to reduce the 3/4 BAB penalty and catch up with fighter classes?
I just want to make shure i dont do any big mistakes making my new hero. I dont have the perfect optimization intention.
THis time i want to play him for a long time, and cry bitter tears when he dies.
Also please remember i am kinda new to Pen and Paper. I think its my third hero.

Honestly...I suggest you play a different class. Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear. Your DM's houserules/nerfs, monk already sucking, and what I've heard of Kingmaker being very frequently one encounter a day... are you willing to entertain the idea of a different class?
How about a Synthesist Summoner, and you refluff his natural attacks as super kung fu?
I thank you for thinking of another class for me but i will try to play my monk for a few levels. If hes really that bad he should die in a few games so i still can look for other classes then.
i always wanted to try out a dwarven barbarian....my poor monk. I will miss you.

Maxximilius wrote: That's not with a vanilla or Four Winds monk that you'll change people's minds on the class. 17 AC and 48 HP at 7th level is... incredibly weak.
Dragon Style is worthless in this build, as it only provides you with a +1 to damage for two feats if you have 14 str.
Drop 14 Str to 10, increase Dex, get Weapon finesse and an Agile amulet of mighty fists, and you have more to-hit, more AC, same base damage, and may use another style instead. What I'm suggesting is not even optimization, it's giving your character a chance to survive in an average 7th level game ; as a level 11 monk may easily reach 40 AC and I'm not even suggesting awesome build advices right now.
I forgot to add the hp from lvl 6 and 7 for that. still took my hp from lvl 5.
Also i didnt counted armor items, since i am currently lvl 5 and didnt found anything yet.
When im lvl 8 i will have 18 str.
With Dragon Strike my first attack will be
FoB and Power attack, Elemental fist and 1Ki Point for an Attack:
lvl8:
+10 (1d10+10+2d6 Elemental fist (+4STR+2PA+4 Dragon Style)),
+10 (1d10+8 (+4STR+2PA+2 Dragon Style))
+10 (1d10+8 (+4STR+2PA+2 Dragon Style))
+5 (1d10+8 (+4STR+2PA+2 Dragon Style))
+5 (1d10+8 (+4STR+2PA+2 Dragon Style))
if it hits that is +10 dmg in a round because of Dragon Style. I think it is a fair trade for two feats. But i get your point.
At lvl 8 I should have a AC of 21 counting +1 NA and some minor AC items. But still no 40 :)
Still im happy with my monk. In the first two adventures from lvl 1 to 5 i did pretty well in combat and social playing. But after reading your post im kinda wondering if it will stay that fun.
I read revels guide and it i checked with my stats. It seems fine with me. he also Went for STR-WIS-DEX.

hi guys,
i am currently playing a Monk of the 4 Winds in the a Kingmaker campaing with a Wizard, a witch, a inquisitor and a druid. I am the DM in Rivers Run Red so i will be back in the next chapter being level 7 or 8.
I just want to know, after readying that everyone thinks that the monk is one of the weakest classes, if you think my build is ok.
I am pretty happy with my monk from the roleplaying perspective and when it comes to fights i am probably ok with him right now. If you could perhaps give me some tips for feats, or adjustment because i still can choose the feats for lvl 5, 7 and the bonus feat from 6.

I am going to flurry with power attack if the target doesnt have to much AC, otherwise i will attack normally.
If i see the enemie being stronger or if the group has to retreat i activate crane style to avoid incoming attacks with crane wing and deflect arrows.
I dont want to focus on Maneuvers like grappling or trip because i dont find them that much fun. i dont like the picture of three heroes fighting like hell and one monk lying on the floor cuddling the mage in the back. Still good to know i am a better grappler then our Inquisitor, becasuse he likes to call himself the choker wich is his finishing move on some NPCs. I just want to be shure that i dont get choked if he gets angry.
I would like to take Touch of serenety on lvl 11 but my dm isnt allowing me to have a feat with the pre. of 18 WIS when i have 16 Wis +2 from a headband. He says i have to get WIS for that circumstance by upgrading my stats on level ups and not from items.

Hi Guys.
Im the second GM in this game. First of all, thanks for your ideas. But since we are sharing the DMing from book to book, pls try not to spoil anything from Rivers Run Red till the end. Its hard to maintain a fascinating story with shared DMs already :)
But they were some really great Ideas . Thanks guys.
Can you think of anything to spice up the whole witches as BBEG idea?
Lune wrote: People actually play out the rated X scenes?
Ok, my suggestion: tell them that for you to find their union belieable that you require them to act out the roll play between their character. Hey, it might not solve the problem at hand but could lead to a nice show at least. Ah... the rewards of DMing.
Nah i think this story is already getting too weird. I will pass this cup to the next GM.

Hi guys.
Nice to see that the Thread is still going.
We will have a little game tonight and i think i will continue the story with some haunting nightmares that the mother gets. Dark shadows clawing on her belly and her waking up with a open window and a bed full of blood. Maybe she wil think that she sadly lost the child but infact
the Wolf Queen came to steal the child and raise it as her own (Anyone knows a spell to transfer a fetus from one womb to another?). She sees the potential of the offspring and will raise it to the new leader of the werewolf clan, creating a nemesis for both the mother and the father.
Since the werewolf queen acts from the shadows and no one except the half ork knows of her existence, she will have enough time to let the young wolf grow and become a great foe in the later game. Even if the heroes should manage to bring him back to the bright side the wolf queen herself becomes their nemesis. Lots of potential.
Lets see how it plays out.
Yet gain thank you all, for participating in this story!
You were a great help and inspiration.
Hi, guys.
There are some great and some fantastic ideas that you brought up. My players will thank you for that. I also had the idea for twins, but at first i have to see, next monday, how the whole thing will play out. I will keep you up to date.

As i already said, we are planning to get the child robbed by the queen of wolves, who later will try to bring the offspring to fight for her and take his place beside her for his father our half orc. But Lamashtu should give us a good kick off to start that story. thanks!

Mabven the OP healer wrote: You have brought this upon yourself, by allowing a player to continue playing his character after he has changed into a werewolf. It is generally a bad idea to allow a character to gain power from being inflicted by a curse/disease. Take his character away from him, and force him to roll a new character, or have his god remove the curse, but for the love of everything holy, don't allow a pc to be a werewolf. Wolf babies are the least of the problems you are going to face from this decision. This is, gladly, not our problem. He isnt getting anything from his curse. We managed to use his lycanthropy for simple roleplaying purposes.
he is getting wildshape, smell as perception, and a +2 str / -2 char.
Thats all. being a full werewolf at lvl 5 would be too strong indeed. He is roaming around in his hybrid form and, for example isnt getting any DR or natural armor. Also he isnt changing his allignement. As i mentioned earlier, the curse was brought to him by a witch that crowned herself mother of wolves and is the leader of a werewolf tribe in a forrest near the PCs city.
Me and the other Gm just like to give each PC sort of a personal sidequest to make them feel special and giving them a proper spotlight. We never had a problem with that and for now even the werewolf story fits him and makes the game more interesting than annoying.

P.S. The druid IS probably an inflicted lycanthrope now. Yeah, the druid will have to make some saving throws to clear that. God, i am fearing a kingdome of werewolves mating randomly...
Banatine wrote: I would have another vote in for just normal warewolf babies.
Assuming that lycanthropy is 'frowned upon', the couple are going to have to work pretty hard to cover this up in general, if anyone who is not utterly loyal finds out, and isn't silenced, you can bet that 'van helsing' is going to discover this, and do something about it.
That said, i'm not sure that either my players, or i as a GM, would have the maturity to deal with this kind of situation 'properly'. we would all just 'move it off-screen' and pretend it never happened!
I'm gonna watch to see how this progresses too!
I see, the two lovers are drawing attention and getting some fans.
I am still not shure if the marshall will go against the werewolves. Till now he is only angered by undead. Still the werewolves are a potential threat to the realm. He will be my cleaner if everything goes messy.
But the covering up part will be hard, thats for shure. Especially with the spymaster always behind their backs.

Considering the tittle vocabulary, Honey Badger thinks that is a poor choice of words. LOL Indeed. Some cruel mocker could paint a wonderful picture of that situation. But then i am to disturbed to further think about that. Still i decide to not change my words, cause they are (to be honest not intentionally) freaking hilarious!

Shure. I will keep you up to date. TO be honest iam probably more curious about the whole story then the players themselves.
I modified the kingmaker campaign heavily, because none of my players are barely interested in the whole financial/economy side of it. So i wrote nearly 25 NPC that arrive at their kingdome every few days.
The spymaster is able to intrigue in all of the stuff, every one of them will have personal guards (the witch already started an affair with her guardian knight) and it feels a lot more like "A game of thrones" , than the original campaign. Im pretty satisfied right now, because everyone is counting their intrigues, exploring the wilderness and defending their kingdome, still feeling as a part of some united kingdome. For me it is a really new way to experience the game, and the unborn werewolf babe is just what i needed to get the druid a personal side-quest, which every PC got right now.
For example the blackblade with his blade that more and more starts to talk to him, the witch establishing her forbidden affair with her guard, observed by the spymasters spies, the ork leading his werewolftribe, and the paladin recruting some new paladins to defend the Kingdome from the threat of the wordwound.
Also the spymaster got in contact with nearly the whole underworld of golarion to maximise his power. ( he also got into contact with the actual underworld which resultet in a kohort of drow standing in their throneroom asking for the promised "slavedelivery". They really have to learn how fragile their new kingdome is)
Really fun. I really can recommend the kingmaker campain.

Nice one.
Thanks.
But dude, try hanging around with an 8-months-pregnant woman some time. "Staggered" is being generous. I mean no offense, but our friend could barely make it up and down our stairs to make it to our gaming room. We had to start opening the garage door so she could bypass the stairs. It isn't fun.
Did she also could fly and turn into a wolf? Cause that could slighty solve the problem in the pathfinder game.
I dont want to destroy the players childwishes with some roleplaying game and i think i will give her some mild reminder of being pregnant when she tries to use some acrobacy, stealth and speed checks.
As i said. i find this whole setting very fresh and original and dont want to break her character with this or even make her go to our witch to try something cruel (on the other hand, our druid would never do that, ingame or outgame...)

NobodysHome wrote: Too many male players love to play female characters and get them pregnant because they don't understand the repercussions. Having spent years among pregnant women (I was adopted by their tribe), I would set the following rules:
First Trimester: Sickened
Second Trimester: Sickened and Fatigued
Third Trimester: Fatigued, and Staggered
I would also argue that any blow or event causing the mother more than 10% of her hit points would endanger the child. (Make the CHILD make a Fortitude save with DC = 10 + each 10% of damage).
After setting those ground rules, I would have a major story event happen during the druid's third trimester.
See how funny she finds it having to sit out an entire adventure because of her depravity.
I like that idea. I find her being staggered a bit too much, but i think i will adopt the other ideas.
Nice one.
EDIT: In addition. The driud is a female player, and the half orc is a male player. coincidentally the two are also together in besides our gametable. This was the first time they played characters that came together in this way. normaly they just beat themselves bloody. Dont know if i should take this outcome as a progress.

Turin the Mad wrote: Druidess is stuck for (wolf gestation period) in wolf form. Litter are mix of human and half-orc theriamorphs (wolves that can assume human form). The template is on d20pfsrd. Mom, if wolf mating is typical of predatory animals, is an afflicted werewolf. She becomes the "mysterious killer" of Chapter 2 during her "black outs". These last won't start until after the pups are weaned. The group already encountered the werewolf from chapter 2. They decided to bring them to the wolf tribe and save his life. The halfork werewolf got the role of the Royal Headsmen and i gave him the permission to decide if he wants to kill the barbarian or bring him to his wolfqueen.
But this makes it even more difficult, because the townpeople are getting suspicious, and imagine what they will say when they realise, that there is a werewolf tribe, 2 hexes away from their city, a wild werewolf pardoned that slaughtered two of their citizens and that their beloved councelor is pregnant with another werewolf. As i said. I smell uprisings and a lot of blood.
good for them, the Marshall they hired is a well known Val-helsing type of guy monter-hunter with a nice russian akzent.
Classic pathfinder...classic!
Edit: oh, and i think she will need some disguise self for the round belly.

Wow, thats going to suck when the game turns to infanticide.
Nature can be harsh in restiring her balance.
Note that "must be being truly repentant and desirous of setting right its misdeeds" isn't the same as "must be setting right its misdeed", the same way that "desiring to eat half a metric ton of ice cream" isn't the same as "eating half a metric ton of ice cream". ;)
Now, regarding that pregnancy thing...
If a druid uses wildshape, what happens to whatever is in his/her intestines? It's either melded or resized.
What happens if you swallow something in animal form and then shift back to normal? As long as there's enough space to fit, it's still there, right?
So... I know, this is getting kinda gross, but we're all adults, aren't we...
Let's just say if there's some fluid in a certain body cavity of said druid, won't it still be there when the druid shifts back?
Since the actual fusion of egg and sperm cell normally happens some time after the act, the only thing we'd have to determine is the nature of the sperm cells of the werewolf.
Taking a step back... If you are a werewolf and shift into wolf form, get injured and spill blood on the ground, and then shift back.
Is that blood still "yours"? To use the classical examples, can a hunter or diviner take that blood to trace you?
The only thing I found on that question is the locate creature spell, although that doesn't actually use any part of the creature to trace the connection or something. It says it _can_ be fooled by polymorph effects (which the change shape ability of the lycantrophe is) while locate object says it _is_ fooled by those... which probably means "ask your DM".
In my opinion, the genetic information in those cells... Me and the other GM ( we change every 5 evenings) were talking about that case with our old biology books by our side and we nearly came to the same understanding. And sincce she is a druid and is able to polymorph, considering her natureaffinity it should be possible. And btw we arent talking about rape or something else. The two were freely together and knew what they are doing.
I mean we are talking about a fantasy roleplaying game, and if the druid and the werewolf have fun with " what would happen if" , i, as a GM, should give them the satisfaction and fun to see what happens. After all i think this is what this game is all about. Its a strange scenario, but we all have our own sense for fantasy. And if there is one thing that i can say about the whole story, then that it is somewhat original and new.
I am currently working on a genetic tree to confirm the result of the act, but i think the most interesting story would be, that the offspring is a Human/Lycanthrope with no allignement ( still fighting with my self if it should be chaotic evil, because our paladin wont take it very kindly) that will be raised secretly and maybe will become a main NpC later in the campain.
Since i have a monk in this group as a PC i hope my own creation wont kill me in the end, but thats always the risk with creating powerful Villians isnt it?
Another thing is, that our druid is the councelor in our newly found kingdome. And even, not considering the whole wolfthing, a bastard without a father raised by a women in a high role will mix up the whole campain a lot. Im smelling treachery, uprisings and streets filled with blood. Lets see what the Spymaster has to say about that...
I think i will make her do some fort. saves against lycanthropy and let the offspring be a child with nat. lycanthropy. Me and the other Gm are considering, if the wolfqueen will hatch the baby (steal it maybe. Anyone knows a spell with that she could inservt her fetus into her own womb?) and will rise it as a new leader who will be become the son and arch enemie of our half orc werewolf. So the two of them can fight fight about the tribe of wolves and maybe get rid of the wolf queen as their tyrannic leader. After all they are father and son.
I relly thank you guys for the creative and informative answers. if you got anything else (advice, ideas, rules) feel free to post them. The werewolf boy has still some time to grow and become whatever his fate will be.
Thank you and good night!
Works pretty well.
Imagin that we are playing kingmaker and are currently establishing our kingdome. The halfork is plotting his war with his wolves to take over the land, while his little werewolf offspring seeks to take the power of his wolfdad in a few years. makes a delicious villian for our group.
This story has a lot of potential. But i can see our druid crying right now...bitter tears.
You know...there is a certain point were even i drop the line. Sodomy is beyond that point.
I also think that the atonement spell wont do it. Unless our druid will give away her offspring (or even kill it). We also have a witch with some high alchemy skills that could look into the case. but even now, she would have lost her druid features.
The half ork was afflicted by magic though a so called wolfmother that is the queen of a werewolf tribe in our campain. Our half ork is now the leader of the clan and i think he misunderstood the phrase territorial expansion.
At least this is entertaining. In a very disturbing way....
I should mention that our half ork werewolf got charisma 5. So i wont bet on cute puppies or sweet little lycanthropes.
"Had said Druid mated with a legit wolf then that would be different."
Thanks for the quick answers.
Does it count , that the werewolf was in his wolfshape at the time of the act?
Why are relationships always so complicated?
Please give me more guys. I am desperate!
PS: Still favour the "paladinmethod"....

Hi Guys,
Im in a crazy position right now. We are playing the kingmaker Campain with a group of a witch, a blackblade, a human druid and a half ork / werewolf. We are focusing on the social playing in the campain sacrificing some of the economy play in kingmaker. That means we got lots of new NPCs and sidequests and less financial stuff.
And now comes the crazy part.
The druid and the half ork werewolf were having intercourse (wait for it...) while in their wild shape wolf form. They both were completely concious about the whole act with the intend of making an offspring.
Im in a crazy spot right now as a GM. I dont want to swing the "you cant do that" axe but i dont want to make a random decision either. The other Players in the group arent aware of the situation (ingame).
SO tell me:
When a human druid in wolf form, and a half ork/ lycanthrop in his wildshape are having intercourse would it be possible to have a living offspring out of this act? Furthermore while the show was going on, the werewolf was changing back from his wolfform into his hybrid form, so when the whole situation reached its climax we have a hybrid werewolf mating a druid in his wolf form.
After the act the druid changed back into her human form, being fertilized by a hybrid werewolf.
Im not joking and the two are serious about it. Im just kinda helpless due to this obnoxious act and need some serious help from you.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Sebastian

Great forum. Enough said!
Hello again.
First of all, THANKS for solving the problem in 22 minutes. I know where to ask if i have another question.
You guys saved us hours of discussion that we now can use to actually play the game.
The other hints were a great addition to my question and will help beginners like me to understand certain rules regarding the monk a lot better, since there was no thread online answering this problem in general.
Big thanks, problem solved!
Sebastian
EDIT:
(i got ninja'd with every of my comments by at least 2 people. Dont worry, there is always someone like me typing slower than you)
Ok, i hope that will satisfy him. Thanks for the quick answers. Damn you guys are fast!

bigkilla wrote: You can definitely use Power Attack on Flurry of Blows.
Well you could make one attack with Elemental Fist but it specifically states you can only make one a round.(You may attempt an Elemental Fist attack once per day for every four levels you have attained (see Special), and no more than once per round.)
Same with Stunning Fist.(You may attempt a stunning attack once per day for every four levels you have attained (but see Special), and no more than once per round.)
Hi thanks for the quick answer. The problem is, that he wont be convinced by that. Is there anything, in the books that describes why it is possible?
To the second question, i know that i only can do one elemental fist per round, but is it also possible to use one ki point to add another attack to my flurry, while having used elemental first in the same round?
The problem with both seems that the GM states that a flurry attack makes it impossible to use other feats with it since it also uses a full action. Again i am not that good with the rules.

Hello,
i am i a discussion with our GM right now about the monk using Power attack in a flurry of blows (lvl 3 monk of the four winds, BAB+2, Flurry BAB+1)
He states that it isnt possible, while i dont find anything in the rulebooks that would deny that possibility. For a reason he names that, since i already declared Flurry i cant also declare a Power attack on them.
I found some threads, where it was discussed , if the monk can use his Flurry BAB to qualify for that feat at lvl 1(which isnt our Problem and wont convince him), but i dont find anything to convince him that it is allowed to use Power attack on my flurry of blows in general. I am not experienced enough when it comes to rules to stand my ground on this one. If anyone could make this clear for us i would be very thankful.
Furthermore i have the question, if the monk is able to do one flurry attack with a stunning fist /elemental fist and also uses a KI point to make another attack in his flurry in the same round which he also wont accept.
I know that the GM has got the last word on all of that, but since i cant find anything to deny that, i would like to hear some explanation why or why not these two things can be used.
Thanks for your help,
Sebastian
