The theme of The summon monster spell from 1st editions as that a wizard or cleric was summoning an extra planer entity. Why venture completely away from this and not allowing wizards to summon planer creatures from the outer planes I loved the feel of the wizard villains being able to summon those demons and Devils. It fits with the lore of wizards from so much literature Doesn’t make much sense to me Help me understand

They just heightened the spell to a third level spell. Yes, there is a reason to have dispel magic at a higher level, essentially it allows to counter higher-level spell. See counteract mechanics for more details. Thank you
While Looking at dragons I see that they have Dispel Magic as a Third level Spell, but see this as a second level spell in the Core Rule Book. Is this an error? Am I seeing something wrong? Is there a reason to have it as a third level spell?
I've always thought the anti-paladin should have been LE instead of CE. For me the feel of the paladin as a champion of Law and order from a good perspective was the fun of playing a paladin. In Contrast taking the same feel as a champion of law and order from an evil perspective just fits better in my mind. Kind of like a Darth Vader character. Ruthlessly enforcing the law and order of his master. Opposed to the chaos and wanting to bring order to the galaxy.
An Apsu vs. Dahak themed campaign. Maybe with each character riding a dragon. A dragon war would be amazing. There's already a big red that could be the big baddy at the end. This could be a continent spanning AP that could flesh our many areas as yet under represented. Evil drakes and dragons rampaging the countryside with good dragons allying in from time to time. So much already there that can be used and expanded upon

My reading of this rule is that the rend only applies to the claw attacks and not the bite. So, if any two of the claws hit then you get the rend. |
