No worries and best wishes to you and everyone else; stopping where we are is as fine a stopping point as any, I'd say. :)

Letting the Ioun Stone dissipate as Aldon gets back his Power Point, Jamaardi replies back with a nod and grin of his own, ::"Glad to be of service. We'll probably know more once Anna can get back in touch with us."::. The Xeph tries fiddling with the alien electrical intercom/speaker components some more. K:Engineer: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7.

Seeing that he's not accomplished much with the intercom, Jamaardi will use his last two Aegis customization points to gain Fortification:25%, taking a minute of his time to activate it. If any of the Younglings are peeking out from behind their door, Jamaardi will smile and give a friendly wave to them.

GM-Panic: If any of the younglings wish to converse with us, please feel free to play out the interactions as stuff that happens before the door got closed. Also I am willing to make any skill rolls as necessary to help convince them that staying put is a good idea (because who wouldn't want to hang out with a baby gravity slime in a hidey hole?) ;)

If there is some form of intercomm/communicator in this or the supply room that the kids hid in, Jamaardi will attempt to repair it so that Anna can make her voice come through, remotely and electronically. He has the ability to restore any item damage via his Aegis Ectopic Artisan power, albeit at 2 hp per round if the object isn't already considered as being broken. He will also find an opportune moment to double up his subconscious focus again too.

"We will return as soon as we are able. If somebody or something other than Anna or any of us comes looking about in this room, it might be best to keep yourselves hidden and to not open the door on your end."

Once the Younglings agree to care for the Gravity Slime in Jamaardi's stead and to stay put in the room that they were all hidden in (prior to Volita closing the door) and after the party gets all the necessary equipment/weaponry, as directed by Anna, Jamaardi will then hand his dull gray Ioun stone over to Aldon.

::"You can absorb some psionic power that is embedded within this burnt-out Ioun stone, Aldondrick. It will return only a small portion of psionic power to you without the need for rest but it may be of help in our task ahead on Anna's behalf. Once we're back on Golarion, it should be easy to find more unused Ioun stones to replace this one."::

If Aldon choose to use the Ioun stone, it will give him back 1 PP which can be of help to the party, even if it's just a smidgen of PP. ;)

So what other fun little alien technology are there presently for us to use? ;)

Heh, the potential that we can have with our very own Junior League of Psionic Assistant Equipment Squires... on second thought, it'd be a lot safer for them to stay put where they were. ;p

While Volita goes to confer with Anna about the party's newfound discovery of all these minors, Jamaardi will give a gentle head-pat to "Rena" while she's crying.

Once she subsides with her crying, the Xeph will take out the second folded paper (the one asking if her name was Rena) from his pocket and hand it over to Rena. He will quickly add in with "You won't have to knock on the door to answer, of course. Anna thought that would be your name but we wanted to make certain. The door makes it difficult to speak through it," in that strange alien language of theirs. "Can you point me to the Youngling designated as Tory?".

If Rena does so, Jamaardi will go and hand over the first piece of paper (the one that Rena read through the door glass) to "Tory", saying "You can hold onto this; it'll be yours to keep.". Turning to Rena, the Xeph will also add, "Your paper will be yours to keep too."

Volita, Jamaardi can have you activate the mindstone (if you opt to do so), and for an expenditure of just 3 pp, you will be able to verbally communicate with the alien kids, plus gain access to any one knowledge skill of your choice.

Once Volita informs the party of what Anna wants to have done with them, via the ever-present mind-link, and returns to help encourage the oldest male child who is present among the gathered younglings, Jamaardi will return back to Rena's side and tell her, "You have done well in keeping your fellow younglings safe in the room. Anna will be busy in directing us to where we must go next but if you and the others don't mind, we'll borrow some of equipment in this room to help Anna with emptying out any enemies that might be present. In return..'"

Jamaardi will then take out the iron flask containing Endeca's Gregarious Gravity Slime. Opening up the flask, Jamaardi will let the gravity slime pour out into his open hand, letting it make strange giggly noises as he pets the slime. He will then motion to Rena (or to another willing Youngling if Rena is reluctant to hold the Gravity Slime) to take the Gravity Slime and flask, saying "This is known as Endeca's Gregarious Gravity Slime, it is a favored pet among many younglings in other distant worlds. It's fairly hardy, harmless, and easy to care for. This one's a baby version of the gravity slimes. Just make sure to not stab it with anything too pointy or throw it against anybody; if you do either of those more than three times, it will shrink and disappear for good."

Then the Xeph will take out the cheese wedge from his backpack and break off a small piece of cheese, which he then will feed to the Gravity Slime in Rena's (or another's) hand, much to the slime's tribbling happiness, complete with noises of cooing and such emanating from it. "They can eat any food scraps that you care to feed them safely."

Jamaardi will leave the flask, Gravity Slime, and cheese wedge with the younglings.

Looking to Rena and the other younglings, Jamaardi will say to them, "We will have to leave soon to help secure this whole place; it might get dangerous, so if all of you wouldn't mind in helping to keep yourselves and this friendly neighborhood gravity slime safe, it would be a very big help to us" with a reassuring smile to all of them.

This is rather unexpected. Anna's going to be in for quite a surprise...

Letting his mind-formed moonrod fade away, Jamaardi glances about at the crying youngling girl in front of him and then at all the other younglings milling about from behind the weapon racks.

Does "Rena" seem to be the oldest among the gathered children? How many girls and how many boys are there among the thirteen of them and do they comprise of different races or are they all human?

The Xeph quickly does a brief count of all the children present, as he gives a brief, tentative wave of greetings with his right hand to all the younglings looking anxiously at him from their hiding places. Jamaardi will then step back aside so that Aldon, Eisen, and Volita can get a view of the younglings and they, the younglings themselves, could get a view of all of them in turn.

Guess one of the others was named Tory?

Taking a moment to compose himself, Jamaardi then proceeds to speak to them in their alien language, albeit in that strangely enunciated way.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9.

"Greetings, Younglings; my friends and I were sent by Anna to help with things out here."

Jamaardi will then look towards Aldon, Volita, and Eisen and give a brief mindspeak, ::"There seems to be a lot more younglings than we first thought; there's at least thirteen of them in that room."::

Oops, probably should've dragged away that dead Chaos monster's body. Maybe if we kick at it, we'll earn their trust...or not. ;)

Shaking his head to Aldon's query about the girl possibly being a monster in disguise, Jamaardi replies with ::"Without any magical powers or enchanted items working, we wouldn't have the capability to determine a creature's true form via mere eyesight, unless we had a very powerful Psionicist from the Temple accompanying us with the strength to pierce the veils. There is an alchemical means of determining if somebody is who they truly are or not but it does require access to the person's body part taken beforehand plus we'd need to solicit the services of an Alchemist to do so within touching distance of the subject."::

Once Anna's answer is revealed and relayed back to us, Jamaardi will nod towards the others and will proceed to write down in the alien language,

Is your name "Tory"? Knock Three times for Yes or Five times for No on the door.

right below what was previously written down.

On a second, separate piece of paper, Jamaardi will then write down,

Is Your Name "Rena"? Knock Three times for Yes or Five times for No upon the door.

but the Xeph will fold this second note about Rena, once the ink has dried up, into a nearby pocket.

Once all the writing is complete, Jamaardi will place the quill and ink inside his bandolier.

Then taking the first piece of paper (once the ink has dried out), the Xeph will then dismiss the small table/desk and replace it with a mind-generated moonrod (similar to a sunrod but not as bright) from his psychic toolkit ability.

Jamaardi will expend one of his two focuses to activate his Conceal Thoughts ability while letting the others know via the mindlink, ::"I've added in asking if her name is Tory, plus I've let her know to answer by knocking on the door...three times for yes or five times for no. I'll place this first note up to the door glass for her to see with the moonrod providing some light to read by from behind the paper. We'll find out more once she's answered."::

Placing the first paper, mentioning Tory, directly onto the glass part of the door with the mind-generated moonrod, now activated, directly behind the paper so that it provides a dim glow to read by, Jamaardi will wait to see how the girl behind the door responds.

Once the foul chaos creature expires, Jamaardi will poke at the body with his mindblade- trying to ascertain if there's any holy symbol marks anywhere on it's bulk in the same way those devils were marked.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23.

When attention is called to the youngling girl's face openly peering out from behind the next door, due to both Volita's and Aldondrick's respective alertness, Jamaardi will answer back, "I may not be able to contact this youngling via any direct psionic power per say but if all of you can give me a few moments to grab some items of mine, I believe I can transcribe a written note to her in her language."

As the Xeph goes rummaging through his pack for paper, quill, and ink, he pauses thoughtfully before adding in, "If Anna is unable to communicate with us inside of this room or the one containing the youngling girl, it might not be a bad idea to have somebody or two step out from here and head over to another nearby area where our erstwhile Dhampir associate can be alerted to another possible survivor."

Once Jamaardi gets the paper, quill, and ink from his pack, the Xeph will again activate his mindstone at -3 PP to be able to speak, read, and write the alien language. He will also temporarily get Know:Dungeoneering as well once the mindstone activates. Jamaardi then lets his mindblade disappear, causing a mind-shaped personal bedside table to appear in it's stead. He will then proceed to write out the words of:

Do Not Be Afraid, We are here to help you. We are Friends with Anna.

in large, easy to read letters upon the paper placed on the mind-shaped mini-table.

::"I've written that she should not be afraid, that we are here to help, and that Anna is our friend. Anything else that I should write down?"::

What kind of a God or Goddess would associate themselves with such a creature as this?

Know:Religion: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13. Checking to see if any such instances of this creature is associated with any known Golarion deity.

Jamaardi will also move in and attack this representation of chaos when he can. Despite his heavier medium mind armor being presently materialized, his 30' speed has not been too diminished and the Xeph easily keeps pace with the others as they make their move.

Init: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13. When applicable, after Surprise rounds are over..

Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18. Luckily, it was flat-footed? If not, disregard the damage portion.

If hit; Astral Skin adjustment +4 and Improved Damage +3 in effect.

Damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (5, 6) + 7 = 18. Damage type will be Bludgeoning.

I hear you on the whole map thingy myself. Not sure how important it will be but from what can be inferred, at least a 30' move should get you in attacking range of this creature. It was close enough to the red door to be heard behind it but probably not too close to the door to make any bottleneck. Perhaps the door is also larger than normal?

After confirming that magic is no longer present in the room that Anna's in, Jamaardi will pickup and place the ioun stone back into the container where he had kept it sequestered away.

As the group reaches the red door where something is behind it (making some kind of ruckus), Jamaardi will take the opportunity to form his two handed mindblade in one hand (the tip of the mindblade balanced against the ground) while using his other to take out his force screen dorje and activating it on himself gaining +4 shield AC before putting the dorje back into his bandolier.

Nodding in response to Volita, Jamaardi replies with "As ready as I'll ever be for our unknown threat." as he prepares to take his mindblade into a more active position.

If anyone else needs a force screen application, just let Jamaardi know and he'll use the dorje on you before going back into battle prep mode.

Aldon, do you want to take the flamer gun as well?

Between removing his suit, helping Aldon to remove his old deactivated suit and getting into Jamaardi's suit, the Xeph will take the opportunity to take out his dull grey ioun stone and test to see if it floats.

If it does begin to float, it could mean that magic is still present in the base?

Nodding to Aldon, Jamaardi replies, "Much appreciated- my Elven associates may be without magic back on Golarion but that doesn't make them any less dangerous if crossed.". With that, the Xeph summons up some medium mind-armor while keeping to his astral skin, for now. Will also hand the flamer gun to Aldon if he wishes to take it at this point.

Jamaardi will follow alongside the others, sans the smartsuit and flamer weapon. He will still keep his mindblade unactivated until it's needed again.

In answer to that "million dollar" question of should we go along with Anna's plan;)

{to Aldon, Eisen, Volita}::"As much as it pains me to admit, if the gods will truly look upon those of us with our special gifts as being nothing more than abominations to be exterminated... I will have to agree with the rest of you. My own kin are among such that would be targeted by these gods, even if they're not actually native to Golarion.

Now, admittedly, I was sent to your Temple of the Mind by the Elves in the hopes of restoring magic to what it once was; you could say that their tried and true survival-based "exit strategy" was dependent on such happening, if it was possible. Luckily, Elves are just as capable of gaining our special gifts as any other- and they need not be made aware of the ramifications of our choice. Still, I would hope that you three will bear in mind that if the Elves were ever made aware of our agreement to helping our newfound ally to do away with magic... they'd be most likely to be...unhappy... with us."::

The likelihood of very upset Elves coming after us for this...? Guess it will be determined solely by our GM ;)

Note to self before I or others forget: ask about Shoal and what they were, ask about other possible gods in this divinity group attacking Anna's people, ask about ship/mecha that Anna's people sent crashing to Golarion long ago (it would be kind of funny if the group somehow got it confused with Earthfall instead of Numeria's Rain of Fire), ask about any other possible survivors in the base, ask if magic never truly existed in Anna's world, ask about other suits being available in base, ask about the red dot ship, maybe find some other stuff to ask?

As Jamaardi finds himself more able to better articulate things conversationally after all of the revelations given, he then begins to attempt at finishing with the removal of his vacc-suit on his person.

Once I'm out of this intelligent... artificial intelligent suit, I'll have to check on my Ioun stone- see if it will float here in this base.

Know:Engineer on Table: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13.

With Eisen and Volita focused on helping Anna to the strange red-door room, that left Jamaardi to either help with assisting Aldondrick (now that his intelligent suit was, for all intents and purposes, deactivated but still physically worn by the Elan) or keeping a quick lookout for more unwelcome astral interlopers.

As the Dhampir is lowered onto the strange table-like device, which led to all the further information that was eventually provided to the group, Jamaardi, being somewhat uncharacteristically silent (both verbally and mind-linked-wise), was busy at getting his own intelligent suit manually removed from his person, as well as internally processing through what has just happened in his own way. Do the Gods, or at least two of them known, really see those with our... gifts as being abominations? If that were true, I would've never been allowed to step through the Elfgates in Castrovel to Golarion in the first place.

Jamaardi will remove his still functional smart vacc-suit with the intention of giving his suit to either Aldon or Anna, whomever will need it the most, plus the psi-gun too.

Of course, once the entire story was underway- with the appropriate prompting from Aldondrick, the task of removing Jamaardi's intelligent suit was left undone about halfway/partway, as the whole implication of what Anna's people had accomplished (no doubt helped by all the scenic/historical moving images) finally sunk in to the Xeph.

::"You could say that something did happen...":: was what Jamaardi could initially reply to, after the entire presentation was given and Anna presented her question of So tell me, did it work, did we ^"&"* the ^"&"*"( up?? but upon a bit of a pause, the Xeph doesn't elaborate any further to Anna other than to change the subject.

::"In answer to your first line of questioning, once we gained access inside, we had found two burnt bodies inside of the statu...mecha sent by your group. It was definitely hell-fire that did them in; after it had begun the journey to your hidden base, we found evidence of a third- a female youngling- that must've been with those other two but as of yet, we've found no trace of her at all. It maybe possible that she got left behind when it flew off."::.

Probably should've done this with the last post, but, as it's been said, better late than never. ;)

Spellcraft on the Angel's Hold Person spell: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7.

While Jamaardi still isn't sure of what type of magical power the Angel tried to use on him, the Xeph does get the familiar sense of magic being used... having had arcane magicks being used on him before on many occasions by both friend and foe.

No mistaking that feeling, that definitely was magic right there; may have to ask our Dhampir ally about it when she wakes up.

Listening to the Dhampir essentially admitting to being a party to the occurrence of magic's departure from the face of Golarion, Jamaardi internally notes, with some sense of ruefulness, that his mind seems to be a bit more preoccupied on the rather comparatively insignificant fact that the missing youngling who had been aboard that mysterious statue was apparently called "Little Mirlon" by the very self same Dhampir who had previously mentioned about "Lina" and "Kliff".

Jamaardi ponders upon these latest developments in the back of his own mind, while answering in reply to Aldondrick's private thought conference with the others in the party (excluding Anna) with, ::"So we've finally found our culprits in the problems facing the disappearance of all supernatural effects from the lands, apart from our own special gifts... quite alarming but very intriguing nonetheless; I do have to wonder how Asmodeus seems to fit in all of this though. Our rescued Dhampir does makes it almost sound as if there are other forces involved in all of this."::

Almost on cue, the Angel makes his very timely but terribly inconvenient appearance at that point, which somehow ends up with an escalation of more explanations being uttered, powers being thrown about, and one very distressed Dhampir being knocked unconscious by the Angel and in very real danger of being killed by this supposed servitor of the Goddess of Dreams and Travel.

Alarming that our gifts would seem to draw out such hatred from a planar creature of goodness; and for one such as Desna to be allied with one such as Asmodeus!. The Xeph finds himself scarcely able to contemplate such a turn of events; Luckily, Jamaardi is able to have enough presence of mind to respond accordingly to the threat that the Angel now poses to everyone present.

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17.

Know:Religion on Desna: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9.

Jamaardi tries to recall something about Desna's faith as there had been quite a few adherents of her faith among the Elves that he had worked with in the past. Nothing much seems to come to mind at that moment, apart from the incongruity of a Goddess of good openly working with a God of evil.

Jamaardi will move closer towards the Angel, cutting a path directly between it and Anna. If he is close enough to attack, he will otherwise he may try to wait for Aldon, Eisen and Volita to make their move before acting with a delayed reaction dependent upon what the Angel of Desna tries to do next.

Heh, so who's got "Kliff's" suit and who's wearing "Lina's" suit? Mildly curious. ;)

Fidgeting a bit uncomfortably while our newly rescued Dhampir weeps aloud upon learning of the unkind fate of "Lina and Kliff" and lamenting of her people's alleged failure upon distant Golarion, Jamaardi pauses a bit before chiming in, ::"Our condolences to you about your... friends, if I take it correctly that they were? Those names aren't familiar to us but you obviously recognized their... suits"::

Processing through the Dhampir's revelatory thought-words, Jamaardi, not wishing to distress her any further than she already was, decides that a slight change of subject is in order. ::"I'm not entirely sure what you meant by "Lyrock", but we'll take your word for it. Perhaps you might know of a more secure location that we can speak more safely at length?"::

The Xeph then thoughtfully adds, ::"You may want to get armored up in your own suit though... no telling how many more devils are out there roaming about."::

Raising an eyebrow at the woman's fear-filled mental declaration, Jamaardi glances back over to his comrades once again before answering back via mind-speech this time.

::"Ah, erm... yes- it's probably better this way to communicate in this manner; no pesky worries about language fluencies, comprehension, and all that- plus all of us can communicate with each other directly. Firstly, we can assure you that we're quite mortal and cannot be considered as deities- or even their planar servitors, for that matter. I can personally assure you that we have no intentions of "god or goddess-enslaving" anyone in the very least. As to why we are here, well... our arrival here was kind of... inadvertent; we were exploring the interior of your giant statue which happened to appear nearby on our world. We never once imagined that your giant statue could traverse the void between worlds. Erm... you do possess some interesting craft-work, like your intelligent, sealed armor and your intelligent weapon of...diverse lethality- which we...scavenged before we entered your void-rock...structure."::

After thinking through to what he just mind communicated, Jamaardi will hastily add in, ::"Well...maybe more along the lines of borrowed rather than scavenged; we've no other real means to otherwise operate this close to the void- not for any long periods of time, at least. Plus we didn't want to startle anyone with our appearance, in case your people weren't familiar with other races."::

Hee, as long as it doesn't end up being a prosecution roll ;)

The battle with the massed devils being a foregone conclusion, Jamaardi watches on with interest showing on his face as the dead Devils melt away into a messy pile of dark goo. ::"Melting away instead of exploding- that's something new; I have to wonder if it was because of their choice of...."::,the Xeph stares briefly but pointedly at the half-eaten corpses strewn about,::"um,...dietary considerations."::

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20.

When Aldon points out that the group is not alone in the room, Jamaardi nods in concurrence and adds, ::"I'll try to speak to whomever it is that's hiding in their strange alien language; it should help to reassure that person..."::

Jamaardi will spend another 3 PP to activate the stone so that he can communicate with the hiding person in their native language; albeit in a strangely accented manner to somebody fluent in said alien language. He will still keep to Knowledge: Engineering bonus. Will also account for the adjusted extra damage taken earlier in the battle.

"Greetings, we come in peace; you are among friends here and we mean you no harm. Those creatures that we have slain... they will not feed upon the poor, unfortunate victims on the ground any longer. Be assured that these creatures, Devils- as they are known to us, will be troubling nobody anytime soon in their current... state. It is safe to come out now; if you need any assistance in coming out from where you are, we can provide such help."

Looking towards Volita, Eisen, and Aldondrick, Jamaardi queries via the group mind-speech network, ::"Is there anything else I should mention?"::

This second blast of Hell-Fire easily catches the Xeph within their conical burst, as Jamaardi tries to dodge against those fell flames a second time.

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19. Succeeds on the save, takes either 4 or 5 points of damage? This will deplete all of the temp hit-points from his Vigor and possibly another "real" hp.

4th round attack on the baddy nearest to J if there are any in reach; Astral Skin adjustments already figured into attack bonus: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26.

4th round damage on the baddy nearest to J; Improved Damage adjustments already factored in: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 2) + 4 = 8.

If none are in reach, Jamaardi will draw the alien gun instead and fire. Will make all the relevant rolls at a later time.

That Map's pretty neat, Volita. :) No prob, Aldondrick- your constructs could also move in adjacent to both Eisen's and Jamaardi's side to get their attacks in on the prone one if you prefer not to have them delay/wait. The map position would then change in to something like __ECCJ__ in such an event. ;)

Jamaardi's Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10. Fairly low roll on the Init. but will delay long enough for Aldon and Volita to get their ranged attacks in.

1st Round action: Ducking aside to allow for Volita to toss her Lightning Ball attack at the massed group of Devils (and possibly to make room for Aldon's constructs to move in and attack, forming a defensive line of sorts), Jamaardi will make his attack on the prone Devil since it would be the only one that he could attack at this point in the combat. It could be a contributor for how the prone Devil ends up being dead by the end of that round. ;)

1st round attack on prone baddy; Astral Skin adjustments already figured into attack bonus: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25.

1st round damage on prone baddy; Improved Damage adjustments already factored in: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 5) + 4 = 15.

When the remaining Devils do their breath attacks en masse, Jamaardi will try to avoid the worst of their effects.

Reflex Save; Astral Skin adjustments already factored in: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24. The Xeph takes half damage for -1 HP total damage. His Temp HP goes from 5 to 4 total.

Volita Involo wrote:

Not really sure about the party order at this point but I would imagine that both Eisen and Jamaardi will take point as all good meat shields do, maybe all the constructs will be next in line before Aldon and Volita- if they aren't already in the fray with the frontliners. We should politely give those devils a chance to break open the door and to maybe slip upon Volita's ectoplasmic sheen, because it's just the adventuring party's thing to do. ;)

Nodding at Volita's request, Jamaardi will scoot further on back, after Eisen but in an opposite adjacent direction (effectively having Eisen on one side by the coated area nearest the hatch, possibly Aldondrick closer to Eisen, Jamaardi on the other flanking side- maybe nearer to Volita and her construct; when Aldon manifests his constructs, they could be alongside either Eisen, Jamaardi, or even both at a "construct a piece"), to allow for some space to let the Blue coat the surface nearest to the door hatch in slippery ectoplasmic sheen.

Upon the fourth round of the hatch doors breaking down, Jamaardi will spend one of his mental focuses to activate Vigor, cost free, to get 5 temporary hit-points. If there is time permitting during the fifth round, Jamaardi will try to regain that spent focus as a full round meditation action.

I had been presuming that unless we find a place where we can safely remove the Vacc-Suit (even temporarily), any of our carried, worn items will be inaccessible, as long as we are wearing the Vacc Suit.

Through a combination of twisting away at the right moment and letting the unknown creature's claws rake ineffectually across the Vacc-Suit's hardened sections, Jamaardi escapes taking any damage from those deadly claws.

As Eisen puts down the mysterious demonic and undead appearing creature with one fell swipe of his mind-formed polearm, the Xeph gives a respectful nod to the Half-Giant, before looking back over in Volita's, Aldon's, and Volita's construct's direction.

Once everybody is again ascertained and accounted for, Jamaardi will join Aldondrick in examining the creature's remains, while keeping his mind-blade still materialized, just in case.

::"It would seem oddly appropriate in mentioning about Mendevian Crusader Crosses and having this demonic-looking creature appear just like that from behind the hatchway, although it does seems emaciated enough to appear almost undead-like."::

Glancing towards the direction where the human woman's body still remains laying out on the ground, Jamaardi thoughtfully adds, ::"These Alien Armored suits seems rather impervious enough to that creature's claws- curious that Amina Leea wasn't wearing one; perhaps it does suggest a sudden, unexpected attack where our late victim didn't have time to don one of these suits on... it did took a bit of time for us in getting those suits worn, even with its' intelligence."::.

Jamaardi occasionally prods and turns the creature's head from one side to the other with his mind-blade but will take care not to obstruct Aldondrick's own examination of the creature's body. K:Religion: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 upon the creature to check if it is undead. ::"The Hell-Fire may suggest a Devilish origin instead but it wouldn't be prudent to discount a possible Demonic or even Daemonic nature..."::.

Jamaardi will also take a minute to activate his 2 of Aegis customization points and access the Improved Damage customization to do 3 extra, additional damage with his two-handed mind-blade.

When Volita does finally inserts the card into a key-card opening, Jamaardi will wait at the ready with mind-blade upraised and at the ready.

Slight miscalculation, it's actually supposed to be an AC of 19, Touch AC is still 14, Flat-footed is 15 with the Vacc-Suit, since it's +5 Natural Armor- not +6.

Alternatively, if the demonic bony-like creature is not within Jamaardi's reach due to circumstance, then the Xeph might either try to charge at the creature (he is able to pass through allies in such a charge and he could either roll separately for that or use the previous attack/damage roll with charge bonuses/penalties added on, if permitted to do so) or he would possibly even try to "circle" around the creature so that he's in flanking position with Eisen if he is unable to make any attack on that creature.

The wheel turns and the door opens, behind if a large Space with another Hatch way much like this, the is drying blood on the floor, As the Hatch fulling swings in something comes from behind it fast.

Before the Hatch opens:

Handing the card over to Volita, once Jamaardi finishes reading it's unearthly inscriptions and notices her peering at both it and the wheel over by the hatch opening, the Xeph hastily adds, ::"It apparently is some form of Security Pass as well as a unique form of identifier, not unlike that of a Mendevian's Crusader's Cross, strange as it may sound."::, once the Blue takes hold of said card.

After the Fiery Welcome:

Jamaardi's initiative will actually be at +4 (or 17 instead of 16) due to his Astral Skin mode; this wouldn't really change his place in the initiative order but I'll have it noted in the status bar on top for future convenience and reference. :)

Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27. Takes half the damage from those flames for 3 points total.

After hurriedly batting away at the sudden deluge of fire with his arms flailing reflexively, Jamaardi gets a good look at the horned, near skeletal-like figure emerging from the opened hatchway. The Xeph mutters out, "This does explain the Hell-fire from those bodies aboard the statue", as he summons forth his mind-blade into both hands as it materializes in its' bludgeoning form as a move action.

When the demonic figure is close enough to strike, is hostile in its' actions, and if the others haven't declared it as being friendly, Jamaardi will attempt to strike at it as a standard action.

To hit: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24.

Bludgeoning damage: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 6) + 1 = 10.

Current AC will be at 20, Touch AC is at 14 from his Astral Skin, and Flat-footed AC is 16 with the Suit. Jamaardi is uncertain if he could even manifest his mind-armor while enclosed within the Vacc-Suit.

Jamaardi will turn the card over and begin reading off the inscription upon it to the others.

::"Amina ...Leea, Tactical ...Command, First ...Officer, Engineering ...Division, Second ...Battle ...Unit...swipe card to activate. It looks like our corpse did have a name in life, this Amina Leea person. Must be part of some military group; possibly even an officer- perhaps their equivalent to somebody like 13, back in Eto? ::"At least it is certain that we're not the only ones in this place. If they are other humans about, like this poor unfortunate departed, perhaps they could tell us more of what is truly happening back on Golarion."::

Perception on the card object: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25.

Jamaardi will pickup the card from the body while remarking ::"No artificial limbs on her, unlike those other two back at the statue. This little item looks like something we haven't seen before. Anybody want to take a closer look at it?"::. Jamaardi will give the card over to whomever wants it, in the party.

Jamaardi looks over to Eisen and says, via Aldon's mindspeech, ::"Agreed on both counts. Are you ready to get us through that hatch, Eisen? It's almost a certainty that it might be locked much in the same way that the statue's hatch was back on Golarion."

Heal: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4. Heh, not even enough to count as an aid another skill roll check. ;p

Nodding to Volita, Jamaardi attempts to determine anything else peculiar about the body but is unable to learn much more about it other than it's apparent "expired" condition. ::"I fear that there's little I can do to help in determining anything more about how the deceased met her demise..."::.

Does our newly discovered corpse also have any cybernetic prosthetic limbs on her, like those two burnt bodies back in the statue-vehicle? If so, Jamaardi could mention as much to the party. And is she carrying anything of note upon her person?
