Fixed. I don't know Brythen's age, but I picture Jaeger and him meeting at a young age, maybe Brythen in early 30s and Jaeger in mid 20s. I like the idea of him knowing a younger, brash, and insolent version of the great man.

Yes, Rosa, if you could see if Jaeger's dad is there, that would be excellent. Jaeger stays out front with the succubus, getting details from her of where the portal is. He's learned long ago that dealing with such creatures was necessary, even a beneficial in terms of Rosa, but it still made him shiver occasionally.
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
Sure, she can lie. The spell just makes her attitude Helpful. So she can lie and be dishonest as much as your best friend would want to be to you. Jaeger gives the woman a look that could kill, but he doesn't move as Lyle grabs him. He closes his eyes and then opens them a second later. "My dear, why don't you just tell us where this portal is. That would save you the trouble of coming with us. And, what did you do with all the Pathfinders in this lodge? Surely it wasn't empty when you arrived. Did you do something naughty to them?" He smirks, hoping to use her playful side to his advantage.
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
"Stop attacking, everyone!" He smiles at the succubus. "She's not a threat anymore." Then he addresses her directly in a sickly sweet tone. "Now my dear, perhaps we can have a more civilized conversation. Please, come down and sit with us. We would love to know more about what you're doing here. How exactly did you get here? It's such a long trip from the moon. And why would your queen send you?"
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
I'm assuming by 'wizard' you meant Jaegar, esp with the "father" comment. If not, please let me know. You whorey little b~~%&! You won't touch my father again! And I'll make your queen scream in mercy for what you did to my mother! You will simply die here after you help us." He ducks down low, speaking words of power, then leaps up to grab her foot, sending a shock through her system. Cast Euphoric Tranquility, taking an AOO. No save as long as no one tries to harm her. She becomes non-violent and helpful. I do have to beat her SR.
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
Jaeger looks at the winged woman and then points to her. "Now, now, we can't have you leaving." A green ray shoots forth and envelopes her with a momentary shimmer. Knowledge, Planes to identify her: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23 Cast Dimensional Anchor
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
"Tsk, Spell Resistance? Perhaps then, we just go with something more basic." Jaegar makes a gesture and a dark void seems to open up around the dwarf, threatening to suck him in and rip the air out from his lungs. Use Interstellar Void. 16d6 cold damage, Fort save DC 27 for half. If save is failed, he is also stunned and exhausted for 1 round.
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 Option 1:
If Jaegar beats the dwarf on initiative, he will cast Euphoric Tranquility and move up to touch him. (Touch Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10) He stops acting violent, moves at half speed, and his now Helpful. If attacked, he gets a Will save. Jaegar will then ask the dwarf to help him get to the moon to find his father. Option 2: If Jaegar goes after the dwarf, he back away and cast Boneshatter on him. Fort Save DC 24. 16d6 damage and exhausted. On a save, hald damage and fatigued.
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
Jaeger's eyes go wide as Rosa transforms back to herself and accuses the dwarf of treachery. It wasn't that he hadn't seen her do it before, it's just that he wasn't expecting it now. "Well, that cat's out of the bag," he mumbles. He watches the dwarf for any hostile movements, ready to counter any magic the Rumble might have. Ready a Greater Dispel Magic to counterspell anything he tries to cast.
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
Jaeger reaches out to shake the dwarf's hand too. "Jaeger Frunte. Pleased to meet you, Rumble. Have you heard about any activity at the gate? Anything which would indicate the area more active than usual? We've also heard rumors of giant birds. Seen any of those things in the area?"
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
Jaeger smiles at the appear in the town at night. He looks up at the sky and tracks a few of the stars, like old friends. As they walk, the man is constantly glancing up at the heavens. When the guard approaches them, Jaeger steps forward. "Please forgive my friends, they are strangers to this area. We have some business with the Pathfinder Lodge. Could you point us in the right way? They should be expecting us soon." He tries to take stock of the guard's intentions Diplomacy, take 10: 10 + 26 = 36 Sense Motive, take 10: 10 + 26 = 36 Guiding Star gives Jaeger his CHA bonus to Wisdom skills when stars are visible.
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
Jaeger shakes his head. "I'm not going to put her through that. She'll be scarred for life and my father, if we get him back, wont be able to look at her the same ever again. But I can get you something of his. He has an old coat, he was fond of. I remember it still sitting on the chair. Will that work?"
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
"Fine. Let's see what we can find out about the Growing Skald and how to get there. If there are these 'demon birds' then it's possible they're flying out from there. We can keep out ears open about the sightings of these things. If we can find one, then we can follow it back too."
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
Jaeger bristles when the man speaks of his father going off with an attractive woman, but he sits back and allows the man to say his piece. A succubus, of course, was hard to resist for any man. "If her attacks are increasing, then Rosa may be right. Fortunately, we tend to be a potent force ourselves, and I have little reason for restraint at the moment. So he is on the moon, along with your Osprey." He sits back with a grim smile. "She'll soon see that the heavens can be as much my realm as hers. Do you have a lead on how we can get there or where one of her Daughters is? Perhaps we can pry the information out of her."
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
"Izmiara takes people either to breed with them or turn them into her own agents of the Abyss. My father is not becoming one of those. She owns a piece of real estate on the moon, known as the Moonscar, and she's been trapped up there for eons. She can send demons to earth, but it's a slow and draining process, which is why she hasn't made much headway. Like I said, I want my father back, and whatever Izmiara's plans are, I want to crush them." Jaeger's head whips around when Kalim calls the man over. "Who are you? What the hell do you want?"
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
Kn, Nature: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Fort Save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31 Jaeger motions for another round, and then kicks Lyle to make sure he's still alive.
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
I hope that fits in with the direction of the adventure. Revenge is a great motive for getting us moving, right? Basic Info:
Name: Jaeger Frunte Race: Human Job: Oracle (Heavens) 16 Age: 35 Likes: Wandering under the stars, Listening to stories, fruit pies, children Dislikes: Not bring able to see the sky, People staring at his hands, Being taken advantage of. Background:
Jaeger never asked for this life. He was going to be a money changer, like his father and uncle, but one sleepless night changed his life forever. Jaeger was eight when it happened. He was sick and had slept all day, so he wasn’t sleepy when night came. The rest of his family was fast asleep in their house, but Jaeger had given up on sleep. He climbed onto the roof to look at the stars. Suddenly, the sky lit up like it was on fire, brighter than even at midday. Jaeger looked up and a flaming ball streaked across the sky, crashing to the ground. Jaeger had seen falling stars before and he thought this must be it. Jaeger looked around, but no one seemed to have woken. He climbed down from the roof and ran through the town, trying to locate the fallen star. On the edge of town, on Farmer Gustav’s land, Jaeger found a huge crater. In the center was the star. It was near the size of a horse and still glowing as Jaeger approached it. Jaeger felt a strange calm as he approached the piece of the heavens, almost being drawn to it. As he approached, he could feel the heat of the still smoldering piece of sky, yet he was undetered. He needed to get closer. Finally, Jaegar reached the star. It was giving off waves of heat and was so bright Jaegar had to close his eyes to protect them. The young boy reached out with both of his arms and touched the burning star. His screams brought the farmer and his wife to his aid. No one know how long he was touching it, but by the time the farmer reached him, the star had cooled and become a simple, but large piece of rock. Jaegar’s arms and hands, however, were charred, blackened, and nearly useless. Several in the town suggested they simply be cut off, but Jaeger refused. Slowly, feeling came back to his limbs, but the damage was done and he found it difficult to hold things tightly ever again. The more dramatic change was not with Jaeger’s arms though. The young man himself was changed. He would wander endlessly throughout the nights, constantly looking up at the sky. He was uneasy in any place with a full roof and soon his parents cut away holes in his room, so Jaeger could see the sky. Jaeger was rarely cold and fires sometimes flared up in his presence. His mother would often find him asleep with a strange, shimmering covering over him like a blanket of stars that would disappear as soon as she touched it. Some claimed he was mad, some that he was possessed, and other that he was touched by the gods. Jaeger never refuted them, though he did feel a special touch when he offered prayers to Sarenae and Pharasma, and especially Desna. Still, all the priests could not explain him, though the priests of Desna claimed he had touched her soul. Jaeger grew older and quickly had to leave his home. He followed the endless sky and it brought him to many places. He learned to explore his gifts and harness them. He joined adventurers to stop plagues; he fought beside the Dawn Scouts at the Battle of Highring; he guided Sir Gavin Kilroy through the forests of nightmares; and he served as counsel to Lord Virgil Shelton. When the Insatiable Queen began to move her forces through the portal, the heavens called out to Jaeger again.
Appearance: Jaegar is a middle aged man, but he still has a wonderous look in his eyes, especially when viewing objects in the sky. He has dark hair which is beginning to turn white at the edges and some lines appearing on his face, attesting to the deeds in his life. He usually is seen a blues of any color, blacks, and reds. His hands are almost always covered with gloves, and he tends to be testy when asked about them.
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
About two hours later, Jaegar walks into the tavern and slams the door shut. He walks over to the table, clearly agitated. As is normal for him, his feet don't actually touch the ground, but float a few inches above it. He sits down and slams his hands on the table. "I just spent the day burying my mother, so don't start with me about being late." He pauses, looking around the table. "It would also seem that my father has been taken by Izmiara, the Insatiable Queen. I don't know if it's out of spite or what that she decides to prey on my parents. But I do know this. I have a job for us, and I'm the backer this time. I want my father back, and as a bonus, I'd like to see Izmiara's head removed from her body just like my mother's was. Whatever she wants, I don't just want it stopped, I want it spectacularly ruined and her openly mocked to have even attempted it. And Rosa, you can feast on her soul if you'd like." He pauses and looks around the table at the group. "So? What do you say? Ruin a Demon Queen's life? You can have whatever you find along the way. Besides, I know some of you have begun to get bored." He sits back, his rage just barely contained. CG now...CN by the end? GM: How much do we know about Izmiara and the Moonscar? Do we know the portal has been opened?
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
I actually can't wait until Rosa goes all evil on something! Other great moments should be:
Or anytime my ability not to breathe will come into play. That'll be sweet for me, maybe not for you guys. :)
Human Oracle (Heavens) 16
Ok, cleaned up my sheet and I started on the spell links, but those are slow going. I'll do more tonight. How did I miss Boots of Striding and Springing? Way more useful than Boots of Escape AND lets me buy a couple more wands. GM - Would you allow the Aurora Borealis power from the Starsoul Bloodline (via Eldritch Heratige) to count as a Illusion (Pattern) effect for purposes of Awesome Display (from Heavens Oracle Revelation)? It's a powerful combo, but it seems to fit in the vein of other Illusion Pattern effects. Plus, Aurora Borealis is a spell-like ability, so it would be mimicking a spell.
