"I have full faith in your judgement Kaako. Open it up and let's see what we have here.
Jadren helps to search the room and then gets ready to go through the secret door.
Jadren will thank Lavanna, looking at her with deep tenderness in his eyes. He then remembers himself and turns away from her. He drops to his knees and begins fervently praying to Iomedae (refocus).
"Groooaaann."
Jadren attempts to stabilize.
"Kaako, once I soften it up, run for it and regroup!" Jadren attacks with his shield bash while it is still flanked.
He takes out a potion of lesser healing and drinks it.
If the boney bastard takes an attack on me I will use reactive shield (+2 AC)
"Heal Kaako and get him out of here! Regroup and heal and fight it through the doorway where it will be less effective! The inheritor will protect me!"
"BUT HIT HIM FIRST BEFORE YOU STEP OUT OF FLANK!"
"Leave the bird alone you bony bastard!" Jadren bashes with his shield, hoping to catch it while it is flat-footed.
He raises his shield. He then attempts to treat his wounds with battle medicine.
Jadren pulls himself to his feet, leaving the morningstar on the ground. He steps to the side to provide a flank and bashes the skeleton with his shield boss.
Jadren staggers back from the mighty swing this creature took at him. He decides to lay on hands to heal 18hp back, remaining a far cry from fully healed. "Iomedae is with me this day! You cannot prevail foul creature!" He swings his morningstar against his foe.
He raises his shield.
Jadren does a sudden charge to close the distance with the enemy (40' of movement) and swings if it is in reach.
He then raises his shield.
Jadren give the door a quick search to make sure it isn't trapped. Assuming it doesn't appear to be trapped, he opens the door, with morningstar at the ready.
"Aye." Jadren leads the way.
"I see no harm in bringing one just in case." Jadren takes a Warhammer.
"Ha! Clearly my wit is not as sharp as Insel's. Let's see what we can find." He searches for a useful bludgeoning weapon and suggests the others do the same.
"That would still count as a blade I think."
Jadren would like to do a Religion check to see if there is any way to "pay homage to the dead" who have died upon the sea.
Jadren will help clean and repair the weapons. "Our instructions make it clear not to take the weapons. Showing respect is very important though."
"Allow me to help you, Kaako."
Jadren reads the plaque.
"Based on our map, I wonder if we should explore the North room first? They seem to go in sequence." If there are no objections, Jadren will lead the way to the north passage.
"You know, our map kinda looks like these rooms. Probably a coincidence."
"Hmmm remember that the one that is worth the most always goes last. What could that mean?"
Jadren scratches his head and looks puzzled.
"Can anyone give us a bit more light?"
Jadren turns to the South East. "Some things haven't changed, Lavanna. You were always special to me. I have just seen that there is more to life than adventure. I can't speak for Alvin though."
Relieved that he has found his repair kit, Jadren tries to knock out some of the dents in his shield.
Somewhat morose at his failure, he drinks a healing potion and moves on.
While others are searching, Jadren makes an attempt to repair his shield and discovers, to his dismay that he does not have a repair kit, despite being trained to do such work. With a heavy sigh at his shockingly poor planning, he leads the exploration of this new passage.
Jadren blocks part of the damage of the attack. He steps forward and swings his sword in retribution.
He raises his shield.
Jadren seeks to end this abomination.
"Kaako, dance in and out like a... an unnamed wedding dance. I will take the hits."
Raise Shield
Jadren raises his shield and strides in front of the beast. He has no knowledge of such things, but he does have a sword!
Jadren uses lay on hands to heal Kakko for 18hp and then prays to Iomedae to refocus. "While I give thanks, perhaps others could search this area thoroughly?"
Jadren pursues the ant and strikes.
Jadren swings at the ant who is grappling him.
If it is not dead: he swings again.
If it is dead: he moves back to the group. Either way, he raises his shield as his third action.
Jadren will block the attack with his shield. He will always block the first attack that hits him.
If it makes more room for his companions, Jadren will actually move jut north of yellow amongst the ants.
Jadren steps in and swings at yellow.
He then raises his shield. "Stay close so I may protect you."
Jadren will approach the source of the clicking and rustling sound to see if he can discover its origin.
"Oh haha I see. That was a jest. My mistake. Ho ho I didn't hear a lot of humour from the knights who took me in. I may be rusty."
Jadren, spurred on by Kaako's interest, will relay the entire story of Iomedae's ascension in excruciating detail as he advances into the cave.
Jadren will go first.
"Service to the inheritor is far from comfortable. A used blade never dulls. She prepares you to be always at the ready for justice, for righteousness, for valour!"
"Lavanna, my delight in seeing you again is the closest I have come to the joy I felt when I saw the light of Iomedae and learned of her ascendance. Are you familiar with the teachings of the Inheritor?"
Jadren leads the way to the cliff face entrance. "Stay close my friends." He will Defend.
