Jade surveys the knickknacks with some interest, as she has had such little opportunity to see treasures so far. The animal skull she quickly dismisses, too reminiscent of the death which had so recently struck the crew. The statuette briefly catches her eye, but Jade isn't especially interested in purely decorative pieces, especially one made of brass rather than gold. The plates are nice, but her line of work is too rough to hope they could survive her journey. The mirror is attractive, but also probably too fragile. The chess set, she decides, is the best of the bunch for someone like her. Valuable, handsome, reasonably sturdy, and might help stave off boredom during long journeys. She decides to pay attention to that piece during the auction. Then, with a sudden thought, she turns to Okoteck and her other magically-inclined friends. "Do you have any way of determining whether any of the items up for bid are magical? Without handling them, I mean? I'd hate to pass up on a good find no one knows is magic or get tricked into bidding for a dud."

Seeing the soup continue to simmer in her bowl, Jade briefly activates her aura, creates a small chunk of ice, and slides it into the near-boiling soup with her spoon to cool it down before digging in.

I agree with Okoteck and Kork for gathering more information first. No sense walking in unprepared. I have two weeks' rations (minus the 2 days? walking here) so I'm fine for a long trip, especially if we can resupply with food at the monastery.

I have an air bladder. I got it to use underwater but it could be useful here. You can hold your breath 5+Con rounds before falling unconscious and the air bladder lets you reset the number of rounds once. You use double rounds any turn you attack or cast a spell (I'm assuming impulses would also count double). I couldn't refill it in there because it would take 2 actions, cost double air, and I can only generate 1 Light Bulk of air per kinesis until level 5. The air bladder is 1 B when inflated. So I could go in there on my own holding my breath. My Con is 4 so I can last 9 rounds. I could go on a scouting run, triple Stride for 9 rounds, breathe the air in the bladder, and then turn back. If I see the phosphor on my way, I'll know I just have to come out, breathe fresh air, refill the air bladder, and then go back in to get it. If I don't find anything within 9 rounds then we'll know we have to figure something else out. Does anybody have a nonflammable light source? I have a feeling I don't want to go into a tunnel with strange gases with an open flame lol

Seeing the geologic features and hearing Jaym'row's remark, she puts two and two together. Jade calls out to warn Jaym'row, but instead of Common, or even Cornyrian, she speaks a musical tongue which falls and crests like waves in the ocean, "Jaym'row, sǎ shûnû nǐ toku!"

"Jaym'row, that gas is poisonous!" Jade coughs, confused. "Sǎ shûnû..." She rubs her throat, then draws some water from her aura and drinks it. With one last clearing of her throat, she belts, "That gas is poisonous! Don't breathe it." She drinks some more water and explains, "That mist stalker used my kinetic gates to return to Yomul and when its essence passed through me, I think it just gave me the ability to speak Thalassic." She shakes her head and points to a tunnel entrance. "Anyway, I think our phosphor will be down that way." Then, grabbing her bruised side she says, "I'd like a breather if you don't mind to heal up first. That thing got me good in the rib." She'll use Ocean's Balm every 10 minutes while we're stopped to heal, starting 10 minutes from when I used it in the fight. If we're in a hurry, I could use potions to heal up.

I would guess it's more to do with the timing than the action itself. The feat lets you do it in 3 actions. 6 seconds to make an impression and make a request is very quick. I'm not sure what the default rules for make an impression are but it's at least a minute of interaction

Next level I'll be able to Extract Element to deal untyped damage to anything with an [air] or [water] trait and, on anything worse than a crit success on their save, remove or weaken any resistances or immunities to my impulses it has.

So Okoteck and Kork I believe volunteered to test out my talismans, so at the beginning of the day I would have affixed a potency crystal (made of bits of sea glass bound tightly in a small square of mesh cloth) to each of your main weapons. I'm not sure how I missed it but I can also make potency crystal talismans. For some reason I thought it was a level 4 item. When you make an attack with the affixed weapon, you can activate it to make the weapon a +1 striking weapon until the end of the turn

I can make 2 temporary talismans every day for free during daily preparations, so if anyone wants one of them, let me know. I have a repair kit and can (un)affix up to 4 talismans in 10 minutes so I'm happy to attach any other talismans you find/buy for yourself as well. If you're unfamiliar, talismans are single-use items you affix to weapons or armor and when their trigger happens, you can use their effect as a free action. They lose their magic at the next daily preparations, so I have to remove the old and replace them with a fresh one every day, even if they were unused. The two I can make are listed on my profile, but my guess is you all would want Predator's Claws, which let you get the critical specialization effect for the attached weapon when you crit with it. Wolf Fangs are only useful after a successful Trip, and none of you have tried tripping anything yet, though if you'd like to try it let me know. They get affixed to armor instead of weapons. I wanted to say all this in character but couldn't figure out a way that wasn't super artificial and wouldn't clog up the gameplay thread with a bunch of mechanical info. XD

You could use your hero point? They reset to 1 after every long rest so no point in hoarding them.
