The wizard steps forwards and announces, "I'm going to lick the stairs." His last words it turns out.

Did anyone comment about the stairs licking him?

Respectfully ... these two seem highly inappropriate, in that you're affording what are supposed to be merely (or at least far more) cosmetic and interesting effects genuine power.

In addition, it's highly unlikely that holy water would boil merely from a drive-by tiefling ... let alone be desecrated by one's mere presence.

302. Your exhalations are smoky, scent dependent on current disposition—sulfurous if your mood is foul and reminiscent of a particular incense when you're pleased.

If I'm not mistaken, "big" cats can roar but not purr, "small" cats the reverse.

Well, if we're going to get exceedingly historical ...

We're not, and we didn't.

To say or imply, though, that John was the lawful authority at the time was so egregiously inaccurate that a correction was warranted.

A good role model for a paladin is Balian in Kingdom of Heaven.

The Balian who slew an unarmed priest, or the one who was schtupping another man's wife?

That film's Balian was for the most part a man of conscience and nobility, granted ... but he was no paladin.

Interestingly enough, the historical Balian of Ibelin (who does not in the least resemble Bloom's character as portrayed in KoH) swore to Saladin in the aftermath of Hattin that he would never take up arms against Islam again ... and then promptly defended Jerusalem against the man who'd spared him.

Saladin, though, forgave him.

Except that John was the legit ruler in Richard's absence. Rather than obey the appropriately-appointed authorities, [Robin] chose to follow his own conscience. Archetypal CG all that way, baby.

Actually, no. William Longchamp was designated by Richard as justiciar, a title roughly analogous to prime minister, in his absence—in some measure, I would imagine, because he knew John was a typical Plantagenet ... and thus conspiring against him.

I would actually have pegged Robin as neutral good, but lawful is by no means out of the question.
