I'm travelling from Harbin to Beijing to NYC to Philadelphia by trains AND planes. Thus I don't think I'll have time to post until Christmas. Ivan will just try to stab, throttle, or beat down some Italians until that time.

I was going for a break of the medulla(brain stem). Causes instant paralysis and near immediate death. What you described would cause pain and trauma lasting as long as 2 mintues to die. Ivan doesn't like to hurt people...much. It only matters as what you described would cause the soldier to lay there choking and kicking, which is kind of disgusting.

Ivan is rear guard, and so will delay his action to the end of the round. With only a luger, Ivan figures he isn't going to make a lot of difference anyway...

I'm not wild about using explosives in a burried temple. Gas, collapsed ceilings, ammo dumps, priceless relics. That said Ivan is a cop, and wouldn't thing about this.

I don't expect them to surrender, I expect the last 2 or 3 to decide fighting to the death just isn't worth it. After all, it's much easier to kill a man AFTER he has surrendered.

The soldiers in O26 and Q28 look easy to get.

If we have already wired the place, and can put a sniper on them, I don't see how we can fail. I need to be up close and personal to hit anything, and I was thinking of simply turning myself into one of the guards, before shooting him in the guts. Or I could knife him. Either works. Of course this is a very dangerous and foolish idea I have had.
