Female Human (Rashemi) Witch 1
Imzel seems lost in the book, stopping to read some full pages only to furrow her brow and move forward by leaps and a bounds. She stops on one passage, before Ruhk inquires about the dagger. The woman frowns, closing the book. "Dah, we must be gettingk the dagger...quickly. It is being tied to your inheritence." The witch nods toward the staff. See OOC Thread

Imzel finishes her meal, and once the table is cleared, reaches for her pack. The scrolls are put forth. "We should be dividing these up, dah?" she states. A finger taps one, which the others w "Zis is beingk the only one I have use or desire for. It is known as 'Identify'. Zis is Cat's Grace and zis is Mage Armor." A finger taps the other two where appropriate. She pauses, looking in the backpack, an eyebrow raising. The blue book retrieved earlier is withdrawn, a hand running over the cover. "And zis....zis we should be taking some time to be readingk, dah?" The cover is opened, and Imzel begins to look carefully over the pages.

Imzel relaxes as the charter is explained. She's not used to this form of governance. "I understand." She considers, chewing a bite of her meal. "I am willingk to join, if it is to unravel this mystery." She turns to Danate. "I have not been beingk able to study ze book. We arrived late in ze night, and I required rest before communingk with ze land. Perhaps after we have eaten, da?" A hand motions to the scrolls, "It is a pity, but my arcana is beingk different than what you are beingk trained it. I am beingk unsure of our alchemist, but for my sake I am feelingk it may necessary to split ze scrolls between us." I checked, and I can't find anything saying witches can learn from Spellbooks. For my familiar to learn the spells I essentially grind the thing up into powder and feed it to him...I don't think you want me doing that with your spellbook ;)

Imzel purses her lips as she reads over the document, before passing it onward. She is silent and distant until the lord speaks. "It is beingk an honor my lord..but my first duty is beingk to my sisters and my homeland. To sign such a document may doom me to be breakingk from it in the future."
Female Human (Rashemi) Witch 1
Imzel quietly excuses herself to her room, the small fox following closely behind. The witch knows she must rest and regain her mental acuity to prepare spells for the next day. The prisoners can wait. "I bid you all a good rest. I shall be seeingk you in the morningk..." And maybe then, I'll know what to do next. she thinks to herself.

Imzel speaks calmly once the others have pointed out what she can only expect is a terrible burden. "Chosen or not, you now are bearer of ze staff. If magic is somethingk you wish to pursue..." The masked face turns to the Northman, "Zen I am believingk there is more than enough knowledge amongst us to be teachingk you." She then follows the others, leaving the gear stripping for the others. She has no interest in their blades or armor.

Actually, as I understand it.. Alchemists and Witches can copy from spellbooks into their formulae books/familiars respectively. However, it doesn't go the other way around: Wizards/spellbook users cannot copy from formulae books or familiars. Only alchemists and witches can do that, respectively. So with that in mind, Oz and Imzel can learn spells from Danate and Ruhk, but not from each other, and Danate and Ruhk can't learn spells from Oz and Imzel. All can, of course, take from scrolls. As far as who 'teaches' Ruhk, I imagine Danate and Imzel could at least get him ground in general knowledge/theory/help him make sense of what he now knows. On loot, I'd prefer a fair shares system with bids/buyouts myself.

Imzel, once she is sure she has stabilized the priest, moves on to her comrades. Each is touched with a small burst of positive energy. The witch glances at Ruhk and Glorgim, apparently checking to see if they require any aid as well. Oz:1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 Healed
Female Human (Rashemi) Witch 1
I'll post ye ole level up info later, but for now... How are we doing loot? Imzel has three scrolls (Mage Armor, Identify, and Cat's Grace), and she can transfer one of them (Identify) to her familiar. I imagine Ruhk, Danate, and/or Oz might have an interest in the other two if not all three for spell/formulae book purposes.

Imzel moves on the fallen priest once the danger has passed. Her mind wonders on the Blackstaff, now in Ruhk's possession. Does he even know what it is he holds? Or the power it represents? The witch shakes her head slightly, as a white wisp covered hand moves to halt the priest's slide toward death. Or maybe, Imzel thinks, this man who holds the staff is exactly what I sought out to find. "If you are needingk healing, please, come close."

I will put out there that I find any combat in which it is clear the GM will go out of their way to not kill a PC less exciting, not as engaging, and as a whole not very fun. Any fight should, usually, have the possibility of harm and/or death for a PC at low levels. The idea that I could die very easily is something my character should be thinking, and it should inform my actions in a situation with said character. In sum: I wouldn't have it any other way, Rennick. Game on.

Imzel's eyes widen behind the mask as she recognizes the staff..and then further when Ruhk's initial use of it involves smashing a Drow. Her thought is cut short as the priest unleashes a surge of sickly darkness, gasping from the pain. Seeing the color leave Danate's face as he stumbles away, the witch moves to him, wisps of light dancing across her hand. It reaches for his shoulder, restoring his strength. HP: 3/8

Imzel doesn't know what that mage is doing just yet, but the witch is aware that any spell or ritual accomplished successfully will most likely not be in their best interest. She draws his Crossbow, concentration as one hand moves in a few arcane gestures with a spoken word while also trying to decipher just what this man is doing... Spellcraft:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

Imzel accepts the potion from Oz, nodding in gratitude. The mask is slipped up for a moment to drink the brew and the witch sighs in relief as her rib mends and the burn on her shoulder no longer stings.
The wychlaran is stops to look over the tome, running a hand across it, when Valen arrives. "Zis. I am not knowingk why, but I intend to find o-" Glorgrim and Sera arrive, yelling a warning before she can finish. The woman lowers her mask once more, stuffing the book into her pack. "I vill be fine." She responds to Danate. "But I must retrieve somethingk. Please be waitingk a moment for me." Imzel runs back into the shrine, emerging a minute or so later with her fox in tow. Run back in and get the scrolls, put them in the pack. Don't want to leave them behind.

Imzel's dagger hits home; barely. The blade scratches a line of red across the drow's face and the she feels a sense of relief. Had the drow proven resistant to weaponry as well as magic, she would have been in a very difficult position. Her satisfaction is short lived as a Magic Missile slams into her side, knocking the wind from her and painfully cracking a rib. Through a gasp of pain, she yells to her allies...and is met with a burst of lights from Danate amidst Arikor's bravery. As the drow slumps to the ground, the witch grits her teeth for a moment, before moving over to snatch the tome from him. "I am not havingk any rope...and he is being the resistant to my magic." She looks to Arikor, hoping the elf might have something they can use.

Shrine of Mystra: Imzel turns, giving chase after the Drow. She cannot get let him get away with that book. A quick charge is made, dagger out as she lunges for the dark elf. "Stop him!" She calls to her companions as she notes them charging for the Shrine, "Do not be lettingk him escape with the tome!" Charge, Attack w/ Dagger.

Imzel takes half damage, is now at 7 of 8 HP. Arget saves and evades for no damage. The wychlaran's spell falls flat, and her eyes widen slightly behind the mask. This is not good. Seeing the drow's hands glow red hot, she ducks quickly beneath the sheet of flames, Arget using her form for cover. They lick across her shoulder, leaving a dark scorch mark on her clothing and skin. Magic isn't going to help me hurt him, she thinks The witch steps forward to stab the dagger at the dark elf. "If you are insisting, then I shall be the obligingk." Arget holds back, moving to crouch near the door. Imzel: Step up to the drow. Attack with dagger.

The Shrine of Mystra: "It is beingk a sign of my station in Rashemen as a wychlaran."The witch starts to speak further as she sorts through, idly setting aside the scrolls for further examination later. Then the compartment is found, halting her explanation. She watches the man take it out, cradling it protectively. And then he tries to leave. She moves to block his way. "Nyet, wait. You have not been tellingk me vat this book is, who you are, or why you are takingk it." A pause, "Or if it is beingk yours o take." Would Arcana or History give me any insight on what the book is?

The Shrine of Mystra: The witch keeps her mask up; she isn't sure just yet how much this man can be trusted. "Please, be forgivingk me. I had thought you in league with the bandits."The dagger is lowered, but the light spell remains. Arget leaves her shoulders, but stays close. Imzel moves closer, looking at the table. "What was the text?" she inquires. Sense Motive, +2 from Awareness Included

The Shrine of Mystra: Imzel halts as the figure at the table becomes visible from the flashes of lightening. Her hand once more moves to her dagger, drawing from it's sheath. Arget tenses upon her shoulders. They are alone and without allies. The witch cast light spell upon her dagger, shedding illumination into the room. "Looking for something?"

The Shrine of Mystra: Imzel was relieved at the minor injuries; fatalities from such an act of random violence would have been a tragedy. The woman pauses as she finds herself at the temple. Random violence or not, coincidences are few and far between in her mind... She walks up the steps, mask still upon her face and Arget perched upon her shoulders. A hand runs over the engraved door for a moment, before pulling it open to peer inside...

Imzel murmurs a short rite in Rashemi as she reaches over to close the eyes of the fallen bandit. He has paid the ultimate price for his crime. The woman rises, looking to Valen. Her first instinct is to go along, but the masked face turns to the town itself. Her sense of duty to the common folk, however, deterred her. "I am wishingk to meet your lord, Sir Valen." A pause, "But my first concern is those who may have been injured, dah? I am a stranger to this land, but I am belivieingk I can draw on it's strength as with my homeland." Intent is to go whore out the Healing Hex to anyone who may need it. Everyone gets a 1d8+1 hit per day, after all ;)

As Ruhk speaks, Imzel is already moving to crouch down by the burnt bandit. Her hand glows with faint wisps of light as she concentrates, laying it upon the man as she examines his wounds. Stabilize as a standard action via Sacred Touch Trait.

Imzel forgoes her magic, moving to flank the Bandit with her brandished dagger. Her fox, perched atop her shoulders, hisses at the man. "Your best option iz to surrender, defiler. You shall not be evadingk my compatriot forever, dah?" Move to flank with Ruhk. Ready an action to attack with the dagger should the bandit attack Imzel or Ruhk

Imzel stops just behind the alchemist for a moment, taking stock of the situation before her. She moves a bit closer to the bandits, just within range of the spell she seeks. Her hands raise, calling forth a cloud upon one man's mind...

Initiative:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 Imzel exits, dagger in hand and Arget alert upon her shoulders. The dancing light of the flames play across her mask, making for an eerie visage. Her gaze follows Oz's toward the temple being charged. "Nyet! Desecrators!" The witch gives chase with the Alchemist, leaving the others to deal with more immediate threats. Run (30 ft x4), stop short 35 ft. of bandits going after temple.

Imzel listens quietly to the discussion, waiting for a chance to discuss 'shop' with the female mage. She's had little exposure to magic outside her homeland. Arget perks up as the yell is made, and Imzel's calm face turns to one of worry. She stands, reaching for her mask and drawing her dagger. Izmel watches the small display of magic and smirks slightly, thinking to herself at how self-serving the people before her are with their displays of the Art. But they have done good things. "Thank you," she states to Ruhk and Glorgrim, "I am fearing we will be needingk more vood before the night has passed." Her accent is thick, hinting that the common tongue is not her primary language. It has tones of Eastern tongues to it. You can more or less assume thick Slavic accent, leaning a bit Russian. If only because having a character who sounds like Natasha al a Rocky & Bullwinkle will amuse me.
