I agree. Thanks for running this for us for so long. I appreciate it very much. This has been on my want to play for a long time, and I've enjoyed what I've been able to play of the AP.

I'm Imperia scrambles out of the seats and heads toward Heartmount with her rapier out. She imbues it with her Legacy power, and waits. "Sheriff get those people to put out the fire or the entire building will go up in flames."

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

"I smell it too. Something isn't right. Sheriff get everyone out of the building. NOW!!!" She nods to Filana and moves toward Heartmount. You don't look well. What's wrong?

"I'm glad the monument has stopped bleeding. We took care of the spirit we believe was causing that." she says quietly to the sheriff.

Imperia sniffs the air. "I'm not sure."

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Imperia moves up to anyone she has met before and asks, "What is going on? It looks like a town meeting yet Kendra an ourselves were not invited." I can only hope we aren't the subject of the meeting.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

My posting will be slow until Friday. The motion on the ship is affecting me more than I thought it would.

"That's a good description of using magic. I use ancient implements myself. They give me special abilities, but there's only so much power available in them on any day. Imperia gives the upstairs a glance. "Let's let him sleep. He'll be angry, but we will be fine." She finishes her tea and makes ready to head out the front door when Filiana is ready to leave.

Imperia wakes to the tolling bells. She sighs. "That's not a good sign. Those don't toll in the mornings for rising. It can only mean death or trouble. I hope either one of those don't come back on us.

She gets up and puts her Mental Focus into her implements making sure she has enough in Transmutation to give her extra dexterity. After she spends an hour doing that she gets ready and heads downstairs.

"Morning Filiana are you feeling refreshed this morning? You burned yourself out last night quite badly." She makes herself a cup of tea, and takes a seat across from the hafling. "Khardan may be indisposed today. We should go and see what is going on with the bells. I'm afraid it isn't a good sign. Let's hope it has nothing to do with Jayla or the prison." She sips her tea and tries not to worry you young one.

Imperia sits next to the halfling. "None of us are safe right now. We need to rest. All of us do. Especially you and Jayla." She again gives the Father a glare. "Take care of her. We're going back to Miss Kendra's to rest."

"I thought you would be safe her last time, but that didn't work out." She gives the Father a long hard glare. "If we leave her in your care again, can you do a better job of keeping her safe this time?" her voice is a mix of Chelaxian noble and University Librarian who is dressing down rowdy patrons.

I hope your practicum goes well.

Imperia takes walks at the back of the group. "Let's leave as quickly as possible." She keeps looking in the shadows for anything of danger.

"Things look fine, but I don't trust this place at all. We should hurry. Khardan do you want to take Jayla out of here or should we finish our work here? Filiana what do you think?"

"We'll get you help." She notices Khardan casting a spell and looks around the room just in case something else is coming.

"I'm glad that's over." she moves to Jayla kneels and helps her to sit up. "Are you all right? We need to get you out of here."

She looks up to Khardan and Filiana. "We should get this place cleared out as soon as possible."

Patting the halfling on the shoulder she says. As I said he's not thinking clearly. Jayla is like a sister to him. Seeing her in danger is hurting him terribly."

Imperia moves into the room and sighs, "I knew we should have taken care of you the last time we saw you.

She pulls out a Haunt Siphon and opens it.

Positive: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 1) = 5

Imperia follows Khardan through the door. "Filiana he's not thinking Be careful." she whispers as she moves past the young halfling.

Imperia is relieved that the feeling she should enter the maiden disappears quickly. She notices the door, and calls out.

Khardan! That way." she points to the door and waits for him to enter it.

Imperia sighs, and moves to the maiden. "Watch my back please." She examines the item for traps. Seeing none she attempts to open it.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Imperia puts the lid back on the Siphon. "It's called a Haunt Siphon or were you asking what the creature was? That was the spirit of one of the people trapped here when the fire burned down the prison."

She hurries along. I can open the Siphon and do negative energy damage as well. It doesn't release the spirit."

Iperia pulls out her Haunt Siphon, and activates it. Be gone.

She moves up and then swings at the head in front of her. "I don't think his head will work. Sorry."

Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Imperia follows Khardan. "My head hurts. Be careful something is here." she cries out.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Imperia sighs and follows after Kardan. Such a hurry. I'm certain Jayala is the bait for a trap, and she will be fine until we get to her. Or at least I hope that's the truth."

"We could repair the wheel in the middle of this room or we could find another way in. I vote for finding a different way. No telling how long it's going to take for us to repair the wheel."

"How do we open this gate? It's very cold and dark further back in the room. I think our ghost might be back there." She looks for a mechanism that will open the portcullis.

Imperia stops and puts out a hand to keep Kardan from rushing in. "We should be careful this may be a trap."

Filiana can you tell me if there's anything magical in the room, please?

Imperia sighs, "Back to the basement. Do we want to take care of the Father now or later? He's currently contained as far as we know. I'm all for taking care of whatever is running amok in the village, and the Father isn't it."

"Thank you Filiana. I appreciate the light. Sometimes a little light makes things better." she gives the young woman a slight smile.

"Let's go then. Into the prison at night. She doesn't look like she thinks it's a good idea, but has no choice.

She moves to the entrance of the prison.

Imperia follows Khardan and Filiana. "Be careful. We have to go in with a plan. This is a terrible idea."

This is madness. What are we doing? Rushing into danger with no thought of a plan.

"This is from Jayla's clothing. We need to search for her." She looks around for any indication where to go next.

She looks very worried about Jayla going missing. "We killed the creature who was in her dreams. Hopefully it's power over her has broken."

Imperia moves over and looks at the cloth. "This might tell us something."

"Let's take a look." Imeria moves to the doorways and looks for signs.

"That's true. Where could they have gone?" She looks around for any signs, and to the Father for an answer.

Imperia looks worried as well. She keeps her anger under wraps at the fact the Father couldn't keep track of Jayla.

"We should search for her quickly." She begins looking around for any indication to where she might have gone.

"That's not a bad idea. Let's do that." Imperia asks the Father if he has a couple of bags they might borrow.

"That's one down. I believe we have the father yet to deal with, and the other one. Had something to do with fire I believe." Imperia tries to remember what else they have to deal with before the prison can be cleared of the evil left there.

"We are getting closer to completing our goal of settling the spirits in the prison. I do hope it helps this place become a bit more cheerful." she glances around at the miserable sky, and dreary village.
