I haven't had any reason to complain so far, but I have to agree with Ssithinelor; if you think the campaign thread is too quiet, don't be afraid to nudge it to keep things moving.

Thanking Derek and the bartender, Idial takes her key and heads upstairs to assess her lodging, nodding slightly to the rest of the group as she leaves.

True. Honestly, I doubt our separation will last through the next attack or two, but I'm not quite sure that this night will spark a reunion; after all, how bad could it possibly turn out? ;)

I have to agree with Ssithinelor, here; there will be plenty of opportunities for trust and friendship later, but I think developing such bonds this early seems a bit forced. Furthermore, Idial hasn't been present during the party's most hazardous moments, so she would have even less of a reason to stick to the others.

Her caution overruled by her desire for safety, Idial silently follows this new group, scrutinizing its members for any shady actions while they move.

"Mindsculptor." Idial can't help feeling suspicious and somewhat unnerved by that word, and she begins to wonder whether the memory Dark gave her was true, or merely pieced together from the wreckage of her mind for some nefarious purposes.

However, the sight of a blade breaking through the main door spurs Idial to action. Wasting no time, she dashes to the back exit.

Adrion's intact sanity assuages Idial's concerns about the procedure, so she will eagerly volunteer for treatment after Dark finishes with Lysa.

Idial takes a moment to weigh her options. She doesn't know if she can fully trust Dark, but she somehow finds his offer too enticing to refuse.

"Well, I don't 'ave much for madness to take right now." She gestures to Dark's hands. "When can you start?"

Idial is intrigued by Dark's offer, but she can't help feeling suspicious about the figure's certainty.

"I yearn to learn my identity, yes; but how do you plan to find it?"

Idial nods in acknowledgment of Adrion's answer, then turns to Ssithinelor and gives him a curious look. "Symbol? Well, when I woke up I found a tag depicting a thief; a scoundrel; sumpin' like that. Did you and your...friends find sumpin' similar?"

Catching Lysa's glance, Idial turns to face the woman before speaking.

"I know the feeling," she says, chuckling dryly; "I woke up hours ago in a dark room with no memory of who I am, where I am, or what I'm doing here. I didn't know anyone else was down here until the dwarves found me, and I certainly don't know you people." She pauses, as if thinking, then continues. "But you wouldn't be able to tell me anything I'm missing, would you?

Hello, everyone. I'm the one who was invited to join this campaign. I'm glad to see that my character was liked enough to be chosen for a late addition, and I look forward to playing with you!


This is Pennate submitting a character for this campaign. I would have posted this earlier, but I'm having quite a busy week. -.- For the sake of thoroughness, I'd like to double-check whether it is allowed for this character to start play with a tool used as an improvised weapon, rather than one of the items you listed in the OP; if not, I can easily exchange it for something else.

I'm aware of the limitations of improvised weapons, but I enjoy a challenge in this type of hobby. Also, there's just something to be said for fighting off some unspeakable evil with a weapon made possible by one's wits and creativity; it adds a certain panache to each encounter, don't you think? :)
