Not so far as I can tell, Valeros certainly didn’t…he just inferred it from Dakang damaging us/healing himself with negative energy…

Valeros retrieves and throws an alchemist fire vial at Dakang…

Fire Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3

…and another 1d6 damage next turn if he doesn’t douse the fire…

I thought it applied to other undead effects as well. Am I reading this wrong?
Negative Energy Affinity (Ex)
The creature is alive, but is treated as undead for all effects that affect undead differently than living creatures, such as cure spells and channeled energy. Format: negative energy affinity; Location: Defensive Abilities.

Whomever is botting Goe Lem…he can cast channel positive energy twice a day…if he hasn’t already used it, he could cast that and it should affect Dakang just like he’s affecting us with his mass inflict wounds spell…

Valeros will retrieve his vial of holy water and throw it at the creature…

Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5

Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Cursing as the cowardly Dakang moves outta reach, Valeros moves east to help Piotr tackle the zombies…

Valeros nods in agreement with Piotr. ”I’m with the Wolfman…the only thing my sword has smacked in the last hour is…him. Enough with the tip-toeing around…let’s send this Dakang to his maker! If we kill Dakang quickly, his ‘followers’ won’t have anyone to protect…”

Valeros shrugs. "We kill Dakang first...cut off the head of the snake, and the body follows..."

Valeros grins. ”We had to knock your @$$ out, wild man, you were ensorcelled; I must say, felt good to wield a sword again, even if it was against a friend…”

Valeros uses the flat of his blade with 2 hands to try and knock some sense into Piotr…

Valeros nods enthusiastically in agreement with Piotr…his sword hand is getting twitchy…

Valeros looks to his companions and shrugs…

Valeros, in his usual manner, nervously fingers the pommel of his longsword, awaiting to see how things play out…he will avoid the food/drink at the table by all means…

He then peeks over his shoulder at the others, then looks back at Valeros.

"You think they're ready for the challenge to take Dakang down?".

Valeros shrugs, whispering back, ”I dunno…but it sure beats making scrapings and reading books…”

Valeros mutters as he fingers his sword, ”I only hunger for some action…wish this Dakang leader would send some orcs after us instead of leaving puzzles for us to figure out…

“But lead on, I will follow…”

Valeros follows Goe Lem, fingering his sword nervously, expecting to see some action...and then finds none and he is disappointed. Is this another puzzle? Seems my skills are not suited to this endeavor, oh well...

He'll watch over his companions, ready to pounce at the first sign of danger...

Inspecting not being his thing, Valeros just watches over his companions, eyes alert and ready to come to their aid if needed…

Valeros puts a firm hand upon Piotr’s shoulder. ”Listen to her, my friend…this gnome may indeed be deceptive, but he didn’t force you to put your hand in there…you did that on your own…”

After looking at Piotr’s hand, Valeros shakes his head. ”Not I…I prefer my hands unmangled…but that’s just me…”

Content to let his companions do the talking, Valeros keeps his eyes peeled and his hands on his blades…

Bored, Valeros ponders as he fingers the flat of his blade. Research? Why does it always have to be research or diplomacy? I’m not cut out for this…a little action every now and then wouldn’t hurt…
