If there is material in multiple areas, but one of the books does not have it listed in the reference authorized list, can I still use that book as a reference for the subject. I ask because the grenadier archetype is in the field guide and the monster codex, but it is not listed in the authorized section for the monster codex (hobgoblin) and I do not own the field guide. So unless I read them differently they have the same wording. I'm asking if I can use the monster codex as my reference guide instead.
Hi all, I have turned to the good people at paizo to help out one of my brand new to rpg players evil cleric. This is for Way of the Wicked AP. She wants to be kinda in your face with the inflict spell slapping. I'm not good with spellcasters, or hybrid spell/fighter like so thats why I'm coming to you guys for help. A good balanced class would be decent, keeping it cleric for the sake of confusion. Gear and spell selection along with feats would be helpful. Cleric of asmodeus (vanilla to the setting).
Is skulls and shackles a decent campaign for a new player to start into the pathfinder world with? They have no previous rpg experience. I was going to make her a Gillmen summoner because she wants a unicorn and I figure that way is the best mechanically and still keep the flavor. I was going to make it a hippocampus varient of unicorn (seahorse with a horne and some magical powers) since it will be in a pirate ship world so I figure will have a lot of water. She wanted to be either a gillman or a catfolk. again, is this a good starter campaign, and what are some suggestions on making this summoner. Again, new to rpg's as a whole so easy mechanics that can still be fun.
OK, lets say I'm a lvl 1 blah, but my favored class is blah2. If I lvl to lvl 2 and become lvl 1 blah/lvl 1 blah2, do I start getting my favored class stuff at that 1st lvl of blah2? or does it start at lvl 2 of blah2? By raw it says that I can choose a different favored class than what I started with. Thanks for the help.
Alright, I reread many of the oracle mysteries and can't think of many that really mesh well and my original plan didn't work well. I want him to be a frontliner/secondary for the most part. It will be for PFS. Was going 4 barb/3 oracle (revelation x2)/rp. I was considering battle to get the enlarge person as the spell so that I could use a wand freely, and taking some revelations that turned out to require higher level to get, so my initial idea hit a speed bump. Right now he is lvl 1 barb, about to lvl to 2 which I was going to take oracle in. I can still change somethings about him.
Traits:indomitable faith, magic knack (nonnegotiable)
I'm thinking of making a staff magus/hexcrafter. I was wondering if the sansetskun (SP?)(UC) was considered a staff weapon for the Staff Master ability that is given. And, if so, if it would be better to go one level of fighter to get the martial weapon ability/bonus feat (I'm thinking better). Front line fighter in a way. And also what good traits for this. I only have the CRB/UC/UM/APG so I can't use any other races or traits. I know tiefling prehensile tail and holding a wand would be nice.
I believe that I have read it somewhere, but I can't find it anywhere...is there a random roll table for actions goblins take each round, it was something like, -oooo shiny, (loses action to pick up object)
Just random things like that.
I'm making what the title says...I was considering going 4 levels in barb with 3 levels in oracle to attain the necessary bab 6 for the rage prophet...this also gives me at least one more spell known and an additional revelation and the first mystery spell to the oracle. I was considering the Battle or the Metal mystery...and the haunted curse for flavor...otherwise lame for mechanics. My question is, what would be a good barb archetype...and which should I start at lvl 1 with...for the favored class bonus if needed. This will be for PFS so it has to be legal. I only have the Core book, the APG, UC, UM. so feats and what not have to come from those. THanks in advance. |
