Male Tanuki Monk (Drunken Master) 4
Haru slowly fades from view, a simple dust trail the only sign of his passing. Kikowa stands before you, the pouch in your hand and a message with it. What shall you do? As mentioned, Days in Kikowa is a story based campaign. Make friends with the villagers, build up a business, explore the countryside, meet spirits and enjoy the region. Days will pass, seasons too... there is no current end in sight.
The warm sea air breathes down your neck as you huddle beneath the shelter of the Wicked Wench Tavern's awning. As you gaze out at the harbor, you see that the Queen has more than one pursuer this night. Now, as the legendary vessel itself... the Queen is an enchanted Galleon, said to make port this side of the Uncharted Islands once every hundred years. Just an hour ago, at sunset precisely it burst forth from the waves into Broken Keel's harbor. Now the legends say that at sunrise, the ship will vanish... sailing off into wild blue unknown... and hopefully you'll all be on it.. as its masters. This Will Be a Night to Remember The harbor itself is only a couple minutes away by foot, a brisk pace is required of course. However, you can already see lights heading towards the Queen... most likely others intent on boarding. If you're to have your room aboard the ship, you better hope to make it quick. You all have your gear on you... all that's left is to make your way to the ship now. I need a general description of how the group is going to make it to the ship. None of you know each other, you just all happened to be in the Tavern when the Queen appeared and decided it was better than here. Roll any checks you think you may need. Then, each player should make five consecutive dexterity checks. This will determine the approximate order in which you arrive. Higher rolls means quicker speed of course. If you have higher than 30 ft. base land speed, add +2 to all your rolls. Any winged characters also get this bonus. Fare thee well.
The dust settles as your small canvas covered wagon comes to a rest at the top of a small hill. Below you lies Kikowa, a quiet rural village in the middle of nowhere... which is actually quite the metaphor for your current situation. Homeless, Jobless, Penniless... not a fine way to live your life you might say. In fact, if you hadn't met Haru of the Tanuki you'd probably be dead by now. The little guy took pity on you and offered you a ride to his hometown. Surprised, more so by the fact that a drunken Tanuki was offering you a wagon ride than by this opportunity, you decided to join in. "I can't say it's much, but anyone can start from scratch here."The Tanuki waves you off his wagon. "I need to make it to the Shrine by nightfall so I best be going. Before I forget though, here's a little something to help you." Haru hands you a small sack. "Don't open it in front of me. It'd be quite rude. Now, I must be off but come stop by the Shrine when you have the time. Sayonara my friends." And with that, the Tanuki is off. === This Campaign is much more Roleplay oriented than my other recruitment. I am only looking for 2 players interested in spending time exploring and making a living in the rural town of Kikowa. You can develop your character as you want, meet the people and start a business. Perhaps you'll become a famous blacksmith? Marry the beautiful daughter of the village chieftain? Who knows. ===

To simplify my job, I'd love it if everyone could use this template to write their characters down. As well, if you could include hp, Saves, Initiative and Perception in your character's "Classes/Levels" section so it shows up in game, that'd be lovely. Name

Campaign Description In a nutshell, Journeys of the Sargasso Queen is a naval exploration campaign, taking players through a region of unknown seas and islands. Ultimately, the PCs are seeking the Lost City of El Antiguo where treasures beyond mens wildest dreams lie. PCs begin in the shanty town of Broken Keel and are on the verge of commandeering their own vessel... by any means necessary. From there, you'll be able to customize your ship, hire on a crew, equip your ship and set sail. But be warned, once you cross over the Border it becomes very hard to return. Miscellaneous
HOWEVER, I have heard that there is an app to track paizo.com board messages and if I find it, I'll be able to update much more often, especially when it comes to RP opportunities with the crew. I also recommend listening to the newly released Assassin's Creed IV soundtrack. It is QUITE motivational. |
