Over the course of the evening Hoid is struggling to perform an impromptu census of the attendees.
Hoid chuckles at Jimmy's jest and indicates to them to follow him out of the office. As they walk Hoid talks to them. "Currently we have 36 children staying with us. I have had to expand staff slightly to help care for them all. We have some infants and some that are old enough to be learning trades. All that are old enough are receiving schooling and the younger ones are stimulated and take part in crafts and such. We are selling that off and selling excess food from the gardens. We have excess even though we are feeding a good two dozen more children from the poorest families in the area to help them." Hoid gives them a tour as he speaks, showing young children in the common room working clay and older children in the classroom. There are some more older boys working in the garden and some older girls working in the kitchen. "This building and the temple has brought a new brightness to the area, but there is more we can do. I would like to build a full school to teach all the children and I am working on deals with some of the guilds to potentially arrange apprenticeships with some of our more promising children."
Kinda, but any combat that we could actually attack we rolled so another combat character would have been ridiculous. For consideration, my Shattered Star character and one of Foxy's characters have built an orphanage from scratch, revamped a temple, and are currently saving up to build a housing and business complex. My cohort is basically our financial and real estate manager.
