female human ranger/1

Yes, lets go back

female human ranger/1

"Do you want the arrows?" Hera asks while turning to Xaephon. "It looks like you are the only one here who has a bow."

Welcome aboard Shym!

female human ranger/1

Dang, sorry to see you go.

female human ranger/1

Hera looks back over her shoulder, and seeing that nobody was following her, turned back. "Do the goblins have anything else of interest on them?" She askes.

female human ranger/1

"Okay then, let's go." Hera turns around and starts of at a barely contained walk.

female human ranger/1

Hera looks around, expecting something to come jumping out at her at any minute. "I think we should get out of here while we can." She says nervously.

"There is evil...there is good...there is Lopinsand. Beware of its sign!

"What does the sign look like?" Hera says.

female human ranger/1

Hera looks around, very confused. "Beware of what?" She askes the goblin.

female human ranger/1

I guess It's my turn?

Hera takes a stab at the last goblin.

Attack roll 15+4=19. Damage 1d6+3=8 points

female human ranger/1

I'm still here! I was just waiting for my initiative to come around, but it never did!

Hera's rapier goes cleanly through the first goblin. It collapses with a shriek.

Hera smiles smugly. Take that you nasty beast!

female human ranger/1

I guess I'm first then?

Hera steps forward, and draws her rapier at the first goblin.

Attack roll 12+4=16. If that was enough, then 1d6+3=7 points damage.

Hera looks sleep-deprived, having spent a nervous night. At Elerosses words, she grimaces slightly. The murderer was what she had been worrying about all night long.

Good by me

"That's a majority. Hera, do you mind?"

"Elerosse, is this a good place? Cadwyn, what about watches?"

Snake, Could you give us a nice description of our surroundings?

"Well..." She looks around, obviously wanting to go back to town. She saw the looks on her companions faces, and begrudgingly agreed. "I suppose we could camp. I could take a watch."

She finds nothing of import, but notices that the water that was poured down for the spirits is not there. Everyone who gave water, you see it in your waterskins.

Hera looks around in puzzlement, and her sense of unease grows. She looks around at the others, wondering if they noticed the same thing.

"That is strange." She says under her breath.

Timidly Xaephon approaches Hera. Ehem, I notice you seem familiar with the out of doors. Even if you are for returning back. He adds quickly.

But my mind will not rest until I am certain that we have gleaned every lead that might be hidden. So If I might be so bold, while the other are preparing for the night and while there still is light if you could help me search to see if there is any unusual track here about?

Hera gives a slight smile at Xaephons polite request "Well," She says, "I guess looking around while it is still light would be a good idea, we can always head back for the city when night falls."

She starts looking around

"Yes, we should," says Hera, anxious to get this odd place behind her. She makes to follow Elerosse, looking at the others with a pleading look.

female human ranger/1

"Maybe we should go back to the town and learn more about this place before doing anything." She looks around, uncomfortable in this odd desert and obiously anxious to get back to the city.

female human ranger/1

Bell land.... Hera wracks her brain, trying to remember if she had heard anything about it.

female human ranger/1

As she hears the voices, Hera looks wildly around. "What are we going to do?" She asks, desperate to help whoever is talking. She looks up, searching the sky for something that might be talking.

"What? I don't hear anything. Do you hear something?" She looks wildly about her, afraid that she's missed something.

female human ranger/1

Hera looks around, exited to be starting a new adventure. She looks at the desert, slightly unnerved, but hoping that once she explored more, it wouldn't be so unusual.

female human ranger/1

When are we starting back up? I'm getting antsy to do some posting, all of the campaigns I'm in are in holiday break.

female human ranger/1

I'm ready

female human ranger/1

I agree. Lets go!

Gaah! What is with this? I rolled a natural 1

female human ranger/1

Hera speaks after Elerosse. "They are telling the truth. We were just innocent bystanders." She looks at the balding man with her most innocent face, as if trying to will him into believing them.

female human ranger/1

Yay! I've been looking forward to starting back up.

female human ranger/1

Hera looks relieved that she is not suspected, and follows the guard. "Where are you taking us?" she askes

female human ranger/1

"Where was this witness when he saw the murder?" Hera asks the guard while being led away.

female human ranger/1

Hera looks surprised at being accused, but willingly goes with the guard, ready to prove her innocence.

When are we starting back up? I assumed it was on hold for thanksgiving weekend.

female human ranger/1

happy thanksgiving everyone!

female human ranger/1

"Yes, let's go to Lopinsand." Says Hera in response to Elrosse.

female human ranger/1

Hera looks around uneasily, nervous to have witnessed a murder. "I am Hera Ingowil" she says to the gathered group. She scans the surrounding streets, looking for other suspicious looking people.

female human ranger/1

Hera spots the gathered group, and hurrys over. She was exploring the city when she heard footsteps, although the lack of people and quiet unsettles her. "What is the matter? Who is running?"
Hera is wearing simple clothes, and carrys her weapons with great ease, as if she has been wearing them for a long time.

female human ranger/1

okay, I'm done

female human ranger/1

personality

Spoiler:
Hera likes pretty much everyone she meets, and is the kind of person who would trust a complete stranger. Having spent most of her time in the woods, she is fascinated by anything in a city, and always explores any city she is in at the time.

Okay fine Mr. grammatically correct.

For some reason the name 'Nyqwill' makes me think of a medicine, maybe a sedative.

I don't think develop has an e on the end

:)

female human ranger/1

here is my backstory

Spoiler:
Hera was born in a village on the outskirts of a forest. She didn't get much attention from her parents, so she raised herself. She spent her childhood roaming the forest with her close friend, Armana. When she was about 17, Armana suddenly went missing after orcs rampaged their village. Hera is now roaming looking for her friend.

Appearance and Personality: Aerick (pronounced AY-rick) is a tall man with slate-grey skin, pale grey hair, and eyes that are just barely blue. He stands with his back straight and his chest proudly extended. At his belt rest a large and heavy-looking round-headed mace and a well-made silvered dagger. A grey breastplate that he wears, detailed in silver, has the spiral of Pharasma engraved into its chestpiece. Besides his head-hair, he is hairless and smooth-skinned. His teeth are perfect. Besides his breastplate, he wears thick, utilitarian black pants and black leather combat boots. A pair of pure white gloves adorn his hands at the end of a black tunic that he wears underneath his breastplate. His blood is darker than regular blood, barely crimson and nearly black.

If one normally would say not to judge a book by its cover, one would be wrong to say this about Aerick. His slate and grey-shade exterior extends to the inside, in more than one way. Born of a keeper of Death and a servant of the Lady of Graves, Aerick is a serious, dour, and grim individual. That said, he isn't entirely colorless and boring. Aerick takes great interest in new mothers, pregnant women, children, the dying, and the undead. He is incredibly protective of the former three and merciless for the latter two. He believes somebody that is dying naturally should die. It must be his Lady's will. As for the undead, they are a thing that he hates more than anything, and he will go to great lengths to destroy them.

Backstory: Many years ago, a kere psychopomp named Kysira grew bored and lonely after her many aeons of graveyard-protection, and so tried to attract a mortal visitant to keep her company. This mortal visitant happened to be a servant of Pharasma and a good, gentle, and good-looking man, whom the kere psychopomp fell in love with over the years of frequent visits by the man.

For his part, he initially began to visit because of his fascination with meeting an extraplanar servant of the Lady of Graves, but then grew to like and then love the outsider woman for her vigilance, sense of duty, and dedication to Pharasma. The two had a child together, (who is the PC, Aerick the Grey) and they lived and raised the child together (although physically separately most of the time, as the psychopomp cannot leave her graveyard for long). Aerick's childhood was a rough one, due to his slow growth and maturation, his eerie greyish skin, and the fact that his mother was a creepy grave-keeping outsider, but it didn't get any easier when, in his twenties, his mother was killed. He and his father had always known the dangers of being involved with an outsider who dedicates her life to the destruction of undead, especially in Ustalav (given its history) but they were nontheless taken aback to learn that Kysira had been killed by a necromancer so that he could exploit her graveyard for corpses.

Until that moment, Aerick had never understood the importance of Kysira's mission, and had often asked his mother to leave her graveyard for days at a time so that he could more easily spend time with her. She had, of course, always refused, and now he knew why.

He joined a group of Pharasman warriors and clerics on a hunt to destroy that necromancer and his creations. It took years, and Aerick saw many a friend and ally die at the hands of the necromancer's servants and flunkies. It was only because of his psychopomp-born resistance to negative energy and his prodigious strength that he survived at all, but he did survive, and he eventually was part of the strike team that eventually killed the necromancer.

Aerick lost his taste for adventure, then, and retired to Lepidstadt, in Ustalav, for a time, to recuperate and to serve his community. It seemed, however, that fate (cause Pharasma, ha-ha) had a different path in mind for him, for several years later, he was greeted by one Judge Embreth Daramid with a job proposition, one that involved a necromantic cult and the fate of Ustalav...
