- Is your character a native of Kintargo? If not, how did they come to be here?
Henry Ravenheart is a lifelong native of Andoran, spending his recent years in Augustana. Commissioned by a trade director working under Aylsande Benedict, with generous funding supplied by the lumber consortium, Henry was sent to Kintargo to investigate why recent shipments of lumber and bills of sale have gone missing.
- Does your character know any of the other player characters? If so, how?
It’s unlikely Henry has met the other characters unless their names have appeared on bills of sale or other multi-national trade statements. However, because of the high influence that nobility has during this time period, in both Cheliax and Andoran, it is possible Henry has interacted with Alina Dereni in the exchange of messages among the two nations. Though Henry is not particularly sociable with work hours that often conflict with tavern-going, it’s possible Henry has interacted with the others, particularly in regard to furnishing shipments of ale to Cheliax taverns.
- How would you describe your character?
Henry is a perceptive, observant character with a decent set of individuality and clever humor that connects with others. Henry has remained content to follow orders and complete his tasks to obtain enough money to get by, preferring the auspices brought by city life to countryside living. However, he also carries the recognition that he is fairly skilled and intelligent compared to the average individual, but is growing discontent with the noble hierarchy and mercantile consortium around him that tend to save wealth for themselves. Henry is ripe for involvement in political movements.
- How would your character describe themselves? (Remember these two things can be very different).
Henry considers himself skilled, sensible, involved, and capable. Investigatory work carries a natural predisposition for solving problems and can be for the greater good, so he is certainly skilled and sensible. However, Henry is not quite so involved as he believes and his understanding of political arguments is at a fairly novice level. This combination suggests that in an area of political unrest, Henry will be faced with an initial shock as he will scramble to understand the situation around him, but the competency to both solve his problems and forecast will allow him to obtain deep personal development.
