"Good dog," Henry says. "And good eye, Jen." He moves over to the cells to see if there's anything interesting about them.

Henry makes sure the others are concealed behind some of the scenery before he steps towards the dog. "Hey, there, lil' guy. Whatcha got there?" He holds out his hand for he "dog" to sniff. "Are you a good boy? Is that what you are? Maybe I can throw a stick for you? Would you like that?" he asks picking up a stray piece of board broken off of a barrel.

”Pretty sure we aren’t in an earthquake zone,” Henry says. Which means that it’s probably much worse. He looks at the map real quick with the others to try to figure the best direction.

Jen sprints toward the robot like a greyhound. Henry grabs a somewhat bloodied sports bag from one of the boat's former occupants and starts whirling it around his head. When Jen is almost there, he releases the bag, throwing with all his might at the robot, hoping to tangle it up for a moment or two.

Henry nods the the others. "Then perhaps we should check the map. Who knows? With everything else going crazy in here, maybe it'll actually be useful."

Henry is aghast at the words of the "management." He shouldn't be surprised. Cogs in a machine, right? He shakes his head to clear such despairing thoughts. That's not who he is or what he's about. Awww HELL naw! We ain't going out like that!

Henry stands up and squares his shoulders. He takes the new additions by the hand and pulls them up like Jen says. "Come on, now. We got to move." Mort looks pretty shaken, too. He taps the lawyer on the shoulder and smiles. "When we get out of this, and win our court case, YOU are gonna be the richest person I know. Let's move." His voice betrays no sound of fear, only confidence and hope.

he's trying to instill some confidence in folks, get them up and moving. That sounds like a get people unstuck roll to me. 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 4) + 3 = 13

For a moment, Henry tries to recall the required medical training the park employees had to go through. Mostly it consists of asking every guest who might be injured "Do you require first aid?" at least 3 times. Stupid liability rules. Focusing on his friend, he does his best to stop the bleeding, though she looks pretty beat up.

Henry speaks softly to the recent captives to try to keep them calm. "It's gonna be okay, but we need to get moving. Try to stay as quiet as possible."

"Mort, look out!" Although he didn't necessarily intend it, something about Henry's demeanor, his plaintive cry, stirred something inside him. His whole being seemed to glow.

well, it was worth a shot
As the pistol is leveled at him, Henry gets the distinct feeling that they aren't falling for his ruse. Well, I guess this is it, he thinks to himself. And then he sees Helen charge. She's risking her life for me. I need to get in there, too! As the robot's head turns toward Helen, Henry charges for the double whammy.

Hmm, these things aren't too bright, are they? With that in mind, he quickly affects a limp and swagger/staggers up to the remaining pirate bots. "Belay that nonsense. The Master wants us to deliver these wenches! Says 'e 'as plans fer 'em."

Someone was still alive, besides them, but it didn't look like they would be for too long. A few of the others were looking around for something to help. If only he could distract the robots... get them to move away.
Hmm, I haven't tried that in ages. It might work though. Henry takes a deep breath and... throws his voice down the adjacent hallway.
"Mateys! There be more lubbers over here! Come give us a hand and we'll make 'em walk the plank." Pleaseworkpleaseworkpleasework

Henry looked on dumbstruck as the young lady mentally outmaneuvered the robot. It's all he can do to keep from laughing as the thing turns and walks away, just at the absurdity of it all.
"Wow, you're right. If there is someone in charge of this... disaster, all these deaths are on their head." He shakes his head. How can someone be so evil?
"Helen, any idea where the closest exit is?"

He may not always be smart, but Henry has plenty of experience with daring. You'd be surprised how much gumption it takes to perform in front of people. Killer robots aren't so bad compared to a really bad review. Well, maybe.

Henry ducks down and motions everyone to do so as well when he hears the pirates singing.
quick question: is this still set up like the pirates ride where there's a small stream of water flowing through the whole way?

Using the time they spent together playing charades every once in a while as a basis, he signals to Helen to ask her if the bots would short out if we splashed water on them?
not sure if this would count as anything, but I'll roll it as though I'm helping her get unstuck, just in case

"Damn, no phone signal." Henry does his best to get people up and moving. The sooner they're out of this place, the better. Clearly, the animatronics have been infected by some kind of virus.

Henry takes a deep breath to steady his nerves as he helps the young lady move the injured teen to a comfortable position. "While you check his vitals, I'm gonna see if I can't get some help in here. 9-1-1 operators should be able to talk us through some of this." He pulls out his cell and dials the numbers.

Henry stands up and shakes some of the water out of his hair. Breathing heavily, he murmurs softly, "Holy cow! I can't believe that worked." As much as he doesn't want to leave the fella he saved, the weird tinny voices grab his attention. He looks around and notices Helen trying to bar the door.
Moving as quickly and quietly as possible, he runs over to help her out. "What can I do to help?" he asks.

Henry moves as fast as he can to the shallow spot, hoping he can make some sort of difference. Although he isn't a super athletic man, he has had some tumbling experience, mostly from working and playing with other entertainers in the park. He hopes now that training will be enough to help prevent disaster. The world seems to slow down for a moment as he sees the two girls leap from the car. He times his leap to grab the lawyer from the seat as the car plunges past. as I understand/ envision this, the girls jumping free will keep them from dying? If not, he would try to grab them instead of Mort.

As the car begins to move away, Henry comes out of his shocked state. "Stay in the car!" he orders the other two as he slides out under the bar and hops out of the car. "Helen, over here!" he calls out.

Hmm, that sounds creepy when you say it like that. Oh well. Henry shrugs off his possible faux pas with a smile. "Are you sure you don't need medical attention? Or perhaps just getting out of the sun?"
Henry's a chatty fellow and will gladly talk about their musical group. They might even take requests.

Seeing a guest in some manner of distress, Henry walks over to the fellow. "Pardon me, sir. Are you feeling okay? I noticed you look a little out of it. Hey, you know what always helps me? Some sweet tunes." He turns to the other "janitors" and says, "Hit it boys!"

Like most of the first shift staff, Henry arrived early, coffee in hand. He high-fived a number of other entertainers as he got into costume. This was one of the best gigs he'd ever had. He got paid to play AND got exercise. Of course, he was still getting used to the California weather. Heat without humidity was just so different from Memphis. A fella could get over-heated without even noticing it.
With his portable steel drum set, cleverly disguised as a garbage can, he set out with the rest of his posse. They'd do a couple of sets for the incoming crowd here and there, then break for a while before moving to a different section of the park. He had a voucher for a free shaved-ice he had planned to use on break.
