Ok ok. I was somewhat unfair, but life sort of has attacked me recently... I'm of course talking about my absence. I haven't been able to post much for the last week or so, and it will be that way for about another week. This is because of personal life stipulations I'd rather not share, and I understand if the consensus of the group is to leave me behind, but I promise if you can handle waiting about one more week of me posting occasionally, I will have a lot more free time to post and such. Helod silently followed, and nodded to Askar, as he took a position in front of the door at V4, and waited for anything to come along, and continually stayed alert for any possible enemies. Throughout the silence he thought back to the days where he had to stay quiet for days upon days, and the fasts he did without food or contact, back when he was just a lad at the chapel.

After a restless sleep Helod arose and looked at his companions. In a blur it seemed, he was walking down the stairs and was in a small damp room with the party. He looked to Einor as he counted, and pulled his Scimitars to the ready, remembering the invigorating force that they left him with. He smiled, and twirled them across his fingers, he had almost forgotten what they felt like. He peered into the next room trying to see what might lay past Einor.
Dire rats are nothing... He thought as he stood at the ready, weapons at the ready.

"Hello Master Rogthrin. Thank you" Helod says with a nod, overall remaining quiet, as he was tired. Helod looked around with a wary eye, and at the mention of bandits his eyes perk up. Helod looks Rogthrin in the eye, "And what might ye know about these bandits?" Helod joins just after Oberst.

"Aye, I would vote for Darth, sounds nicer," He says as he pulls his map out, and draws a dotted pointed line to Vader. He smiles to the group, "Hey, if you the lot of you are interested, I think I might be able to lower the price of the ship ride. Might be a load off of our chests?" He says with a wink.
Big Money, come on... Diplomacy:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 AND IT'S GOLD
"Yep, pretty darn sure I could lower his price to just about nothing!" He says, as he begins preparing a speech in which to persuade passage of a lower price.
Speech:
Don't know how you like to do Diplomacy, but I figure that you'll want some kind of speech, so for when you need it, here: Assuming that it's a male captain, here goes nothing. "Hello my good Sir, me and my Companions would like to seek passage to Darth, might you be able to get us there, for, say (TRANSPORTATION PRICE - 10GP (Or whatever party decides))?" He says with a wink and a clasp on the back. "Surely a mighty ship such as yours could carry a group of adventurers such as ourselves, to Darth? Such a great, noble captain such as yourself could help out some of the common rabble? He exclaims, with a smile in his heart, being sure to play up every single thing he can remember from his years at the Temple, persuading the locals to come inside, have a look around, to help them feel secure, safe. He never missed a beat, it seemed, and although the proven low intellect of Helod, it seems that if he were to write a book, no matter how poorly written, it would at least tell the correct concepts, if the subject happened to be diplomacy.

It felt like forever to Helod that the man spoke. Although he was sure it was important, and he even took some notes on his map, he wasn't all to interested, except for the seldom mention of monsters. At the final mention of the scrolls, Helods eyes opened wide, and he jumped forward, and began to study all of them, yet none of them at the same time. He didn't know what to look for, so he started from the beginning, and scrawled extra notes on the back of his map, trying to be thorough, although in reality, he knew that it would never be of any use.

As Helod scrambles to put away his map making supplies, he nods the new comer, saying "Aye, well met! I am Helod Thes, paladin of Sarenrae. Please do tell us more about our mission sir... all I know is that we're going to The Island of Yune." He exclaims as he leans back into his chair and crosses his arms with an expectant and hopeful smile, similar to that of a puppy awaiting a meal.

Helod also arrived early, "To be on time is okay, but to be early is better", was always his opinion. With long strides through the Grand Lodge, he silently admired the size of this place. He said a prayer, as to bless the area by Sarenrae, so that no harm might ever come unto the building, then he hurried off to the appointed room of meeting.
As he stumbled into the room, his mouth opened with awe at the large map set before him. He took all of the intelligence he had (lol, 8) to focus on it and memorize it. He sat there, for about 12 minutes trying to memorize it, then he remembered! He quickly pulled a paper and quill from his pack, and scrawled a picture of the map, trying to see if he knew it just from memory... 'Agh, no good, I'll try again', and he repeated this process until he came out with something like this.
Are you implying the search function will help me write dialogue with a lisp? I wasn't aware it could do that... :P
Yes. I would personally just go and create a .txt file, then type your whole thing in there, then do find/replace to put all the *ths*. Would save you work, and prevent the forums from eating posts.
Yes, also very excited for this... A drow hunt sounds right up Helod's alley.
"Cards... Sure, why not?" Helod says as he fumbles around with his deal, obviously not used to them. "Actually, better not... Not to sure even what these are for..." He says, unaccustomed to the cards. "I'll just watch for now, I'm more just for talk."
Turning to the man who emerged from the shadows, "Sorry what happened to you friend. I can't comprehend the pain, but you are surely a good man. Trials are that in which strengthen us!" Helod says grimly to Tazennin.

I'm going for a heavily opinionated character :D Despite this he wil also be very loyal, as to not cause problems with the group. Will update backstory for how I was hired by the pathfinders.
