1) Titan Mauler/Titan Fighter: It's a cool enough concept that it was used for the background for Amiri, but it never ended up working particularly well, a new edition is a great time to remedy that.

2) Archaeologist Bard: It manages to feel like an entirely different class by losing bardic performance in exchange for other goodies, but works well thematically and mechanically.

3) Oathbound Paladin: Not only versatile with the multiple oaths available, it's also one of the few archetypes that's essentially founded on Roleplay. More of those in general would be great!

4) Scrollmaster Wizard: I wouldn't be surprised if this is the only time this archetype appears in this thread, but it remains a boldly unique archetype that has interesting synergies with the Eldritch Knight type builds. It's mostly just hampered by the increasingly high gold upkeep at higher levels.

5) I was going to put Crossbowman Fighter here, but I'll forgo this one in favor just asking for crossbows not to be strictly inferior to bows in all respects.

As far as I've seen EVE Online is the absolute gold standard as far as character creation goes (Which is totally wasted because you're in a spaceship 100% of the time), I'd advise looking it up, there's quite a lot done correctly there.

True Neutral. Pretty surprised by the popularity of that alignment, actually.

Even more Surprised to see CG so low on the totem pole.

I'm in love with the feat chain, I realize it's subpar in almost every application, but I want to build and play a character that uses it if for no other reason than to get it out of my system.

My question is as follows,

Dimensional Assault reads:
As a full-round action, you use abundant step or cast dimension door as a special charge. Doing so allows you to teleport up to double your current speed (up to the maximum distance allowed by the spell or ability) and to make the attack normally allowed on a charge.

By the wording on this, it seems to imply that only you can teleport, unlike the spell itself which lets you drag along other creatures. Am I correct in my belief that this would prohibit you from making a mounted charge attack with dimensional assault?

I'd really sorely like to see a viable crossbow build, it really bothers me that every ranged fighter uses the same weapon, because it's the only thing that works well. I thought the crossbowman archetype was going to be the answer, it turned out to be one of the weakest printed :(

It's not just the simple crossbows either, even the exotic repeating and double crossbows are inferior to their martial longbow counterparts. I understand that a longbow is kind of iconic, but is there any reason from a game design stance that something that takes more feats to be effective at all should be so strictly inferior?

I've personally been trying for awhile to make the double crossbow work, but this was more or less shut down when I read on the SRD that crossbow mastery lets you reload both as a move action, rendering it essentially worthless for everybody in any situation (Not even an inquisitor with greater bane on an icy double crossbow doing 2d10 + 10d6 is efficient DPR for a full round action, more so since haste doesn't help you in any shape way or form )

Sorry, just kind of infuriated about the one-sidedness of the ranged weapon lineup.
