Helderbrecht Haake is a Kellid mountain-goat herder who is particularly inept at his job. Prone to mental wandering and pondering, Helderbrecht (or "Heldy" as his mother calls him) has spent many years out in the cold, tending the flock, alone but for the constant voices echoing in his head. Helderbrecht is often in trouble for losing sheep, but despite this his affable nature leaves him well lived in town.
