I've managed to get caught up and get back into the flow of things. Sorry about my delay. If Hawke finds some time, he'll probably try and do some trading with the villagers. You know, with his futuristic weapons and jewelry. Who knows, maybe he'll even ask Kano about the Elemental Lodestone he is still packing around.
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Hawke would move to the entryway of the hut and stand there. He was antsy from the fighting, however his body was tired to the point where he allowed himself to lean on his axe's pommel, it's great serrated blades resting upon the ground. Is it safe to assume we are making camp for the night than? Can Hawke reclaim half of his hit points?
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Very well. Dambreth's healing from earlier had helped ease some of the pain, but Hawke was still injured pretty severely. None the less, he would not allow anyone else to see the pain he was in. Instead, he would move to the damned beasts and check them for anything of use or value.
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
The only bond that I could possibly be seeing resolved for Hawke is the following:
While he may prefer the bow, he has shown that he is more than willing to enter into the fray when necessary. What do you think Dambreth? Also, will we be gaining XP for our Alignments again? I might consider one of those multi-armed monstrosities to be a worthy opponent to defeat.
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
"For the moment," Hawke would reply. "However, I get the feeling that they're not done trying to get you yet." As he speaks, Hawke moves towards the elf. Upon reaching him, he will finish with, "And why might that be?" Hawke was suspicious of the elf and he made this clear by staring him square in the eyes and pronoucning each word very slowly.
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
I actually said that Hawke simply turned on his heels and growled at them, but I'm okay with him chasing them off. As his enemies flee before him, and Temellen safely makes it back to them, Hawke will come to a stop. The battle had taken it's toll upon his body. Not only was he breathing heavily, but he was covered in wounds of varying sizes. None the less, he kept his eyes on the jungle's edge for any further signs of the bug people.
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
A smile would form on Hawke's face as he watches yet another beast fall, however it would not last for long as Dambreth's shout reaches his ears. Turning slowly on his heels, Hawke comes about to face the bug people while letting out a growl. "I suggest you let him go before decide to repay you for earlier!"
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Despite his aching muscles and the exhaustion starting to set in, Hawke would starts pawing at the ground with his feet while breathing heavily. Then, without any further warning, he charges the blind beast and lashes out at it with his axe. As always, feel free to ignore my post to give the others a chance to get more actions in if you feel it necessary. Greataxe Attack: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 4) + 2 = 11
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Fire Breath Damage: 1d10 - 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (6) - (2) - 1 = 3 Hawke would grit his teeth through the pain as the fire sears his skin once more. He did not fear death, but it was not yet his turn to die. As his enemy crumples before him, he stands their huffing and puffing from the exertion and wounds he has sustained up till this point. With his armor still hot against his skin from the fire bath, his eyes seek out his next target. As they fall upon the remaining beast, Hawke lets out a feral roar to challenge the beast I'm glad Hawke has some hit points...
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Fire Breath Damage: 1d10 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6 Hawke was stunned for the briefest of moments. He had not expected the beast to have such an ability and now there it stood towering over him getting ready to show off it's hidden ability to him once more. So Hawke did the only thing he knew how to do. He yelled back at the beast and lashed out with his axe in hopes of killing it before it could bath him in flame once more. Greataxe Attack: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 5) + 2 = 8
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Hawke grimaces as the heated liquid soaks into his boot. None the less he persues the fallen beast and lashes out at it in hopes of finally felling the beast once and for all. Greataxe Attack: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 1) + 2 = 6
(Seems Hawke gave him an opening that time and XP marked.)
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
With a ferocious yell, as if challenging the world itself, Hawke would finish pulling his axe free from the ground and charge at the now three armed beast in hopes of intercepting it before it could reach the others. Greataxe Attack: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 6) + 2 = 12
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Having failed to notice the elf's daring escape, Hawke had turned his attention to the falling beast thinking their comrade was still caught in it's grasp. Thusly, he almost lost his grip on his axe and plummeted to his own death when he suddenly found Dambreth standing in front of him with a hand outstretched. Embarrassed by his surprise and almost deadly mishap, Hawke would refuse the elf's offer of help and pull himself up. Then, while turning his attention to freeing his axe, he would ask, "How do the other's fair?"
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Claw Damage: 1d4 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0 Hawke would yell out to Dambreth, "Grab hold!" as he attempts to sink his great axe into the ground before they drop any further. Defy Danger: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 5) + 2 = 10 Used Strength for Defy Danger since he is attempting to sink his great axe into the ground and hold on to it as an anchor.
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Now aware of the danger held in the blood of their enemies, Hawke would attempt to spin out of the way of the projectile... Defy Danger: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (6, 5) + 1 = 12 ...as he spins, he brings his greataxe back around to lash out at the monstrosity once more. Greataxe Attack: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1) + 2 = 9
Silly Temellen. Hawke is a walking arsenal, he should have asked him earlier. :P
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Heated Blood Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4 It's longer legs easily carry the beast away at a speed that Hawke would be unable to keep up with. His instincts kicking in, Hawke would realize this and turn his attention to those still nearby. Seeing the house cat struggling with it's opponent, Hawke seizes the opportunity to charge it while it's dazed. Greataxe Attack: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 4) + 2 = 10
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Moving his jaw in a circular motion to help ease the muscles, Hawke glares at the beast for but a moment before charing right back in screaming, "Die!!!" Upon nearing the creature, he would lash out with a wicked overhand chop... Greataxe Attack: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 2) + 2 = 10
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
"Now that's the spirit boy," Hawke would say with a laugh and wink. Then, as the beasts show themselves, Hawke will charge in with a road. "Now have at them!" Hack and Slash: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (2, 4) + 2 = 8
Wow...so my ability to reroll one damage roll, would that mean reroll both dice?
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Hawke would smile as he hears the parrot's proclamation followed shortly by the sound of something climbing it's way out of the pit before them. As he reaches back to pull his axe from his back, he speaks up once more after what had seemed like an eternity to him. "Now this is more my speed." He then readies himself to meet his new challenger with his axe. Hawke is getting ready to charge whatever comes out of the hole.
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Hawke would nod his head in appreciation to Dambreth as he feels the urge to scratch the bites lessen with the shrinking of the wounds. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- As they made their way through the encampment, Hawke would walk with confidence. Numbers did not frighten him. Little did as it was anymore and when they met the man he assumed was the leader of this tribe, Hawke would stand firm and unwavering despite the man's bulk. The bigger they are, the harder they fall. My axe does not discriminate based off of size, he would think to himself.
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Hawke would check twice to make sure that he had removed the last of the annoying bugs from his skin while trying to keep from subconsciously itching the bites. Seeing the expectant look upon Scram's face, Hawke would take a quick glance around to make sure that the other's attention was on the elven stranger before reaching into his bag for a small piece of jerky to toss to the overgrown house cat. He didn't trust this newcomer. He had seen the lights calling to the beast beyond and any signaling light would make him suspicious at this point. None the less, he kept his thoughts to himself while he took some time to reequip his armor.
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
That does make sense, there was just no indication of such in your post so I was wanting to make sure that my action was not getting skipped over. "Damn vermin!" Hawke would shout as he punches the beetle from his shoulder. That was one less beetle to worry about, but there were still plenty more. With that thought in mind, Hawke would work on lifting his scale mail so that he could than start removing the beetles that had managed to get beneath it.
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
At Olivius suggestion, Hawke would push the beetles from the back of his neck. The little bastards were everywhere...so Hawke would take some time to remove any more he could get to, and squash any he could not while listening to the others. Upon hearing some key words of sky and signal, Hawke would turn his gaze to the Temellen. "Who are these friends and why are they in the skies?"
Allistara, you can find the Barbarian character sheet here. The character sheets list all the different moves they can get on them.
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Hawke would smack his hip in the vicinity of the bite in an attempt to squash the little menace before turning his attention to knocking off any others that he could currently get to. "The beast is gone along with it's ugly friends. What did you do to piss them off?"
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Hawke's eyes would narrow as he watches the group quite literally disperse on the wind. It seemed like the battle was won for now, but something strange was going on here and he didn't like it. Noticing the large beast starting to move away, he would turn his attention to the man in the tree. "Are you okay?"
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Spear Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2 (Negated by Armor) As the native's attention turns to removing the axe from Hawke's grasp, he would flash the man a wicked smile. Attempting to take advantage of the man's divided attention, he'll bring his greataxe up in a wicked arc while allowing his hands to slide down towards the end of the shaft for extra reach. Greataxe Attack: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 3) + 2 = 9
Fighter 3 | HP 19/26 | Armor 2 | XP 7
Did you want to roll the damage? Or did you want me to roll the damage? Hawke would lower his axe. He was up for a challenge, but he did not see the need to die without taking a few of them with him. Instead, he would wait for his chance to counterattack while glaring at his captors.
