The dwarf squints up the chimney. I can fly up again, and bring a rope--and maybe a little 'un on me shoulders. He gives Thighbite a firm shove.

Unless we hear another idea to interrupt this, we'll go for this plan--I'll carry Thighbite and a rope, use Winged Boots to get up there, and drop the rope down. I've got a grappling hook, so I'll set that up before I fly, then use the hook to set the rope for the rest to ascend.

Why is your BS/CG +6--is that some specific bonus for you? I'm currently +2, so that level of bonus, or Rage, would both be a net +4 for me. I'd be eager to get Str boosted, with either (or both???) :-) Enlarge would also probably be good...I would take any of those 3 you wish to bestow, with thanks.

I'm with GMHW and DMS. I would love to have a discussion with whomever designed Waking Rune, so I could understand their thought processes--and so I could perhaps get an explanation behind why it appears to be so poorly designed. That was really the only dark spot in what was an incredibly awesome GenCon 2013.

From what I heard, the end bad guy was to open the fight with a quickened Horrid Wilting. That's a 12th level spell. In what way is that even remotely possible to approach balance when the players have AT MOST access to 6th level spells (barring boons or other crazy stuff)??

Thunderspirit, I opine you should have no shame in not having made it out of the first room. I have yet to hear of anyone who has made it beyond. Shoot, Bonekeep wasn't that bad.
