![]() Damn, I, too, am sorry to hear that :-/ I hope that your life situation improves with time, and that you get a chance to do other things in the future :-) For the record, I thoroughly enjoyed Ting's company ;-) Baerlie, since we are now down to two players (and I know that you yourself are quite busy), shall we make this thread inactive? ![]()

![]() Hans shrugs. "Don't look at me! I have no idea, either. Come on - let's keep moving." He then conducts a quick search of the courtyard, before following Ting down the next corridor. Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23. ![]()

![]() Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21. Keen-eyed, Hans spots an odd-looking bone tube behind the statue. "I think that this might be a scroll; Feli? Do you know what it is?" He then turns to Ting Tang. "We should finish clearing this level before we head upstairs. Let's see where the other arm of the corridor went." So I guess it is back out into the corridor, and keep following it around until we find a door / it opens out into another room. EDIT: Looking at the map, I will arbitrarily say we go East at the three-way junction. ![]()

![]() Holy info-dump, Batman! "Right. So, destroy the Window last. Clear-out the rest of the Monastery first. Got it." He then turns to Ting and shrugs. "I say we start on the ground floor, and work our way up." Probably entering via the closest door to where we now are ;-) ![]()

![]() Hans shrugs. "Well, the village does not have anywhere near enough money to pay his ransom, even if they wanted to. Instead, they sent us into Tula's Crypt, where we acquired some rather nifty dragon-slaying equipment. Honestly, I wouldn't say it is a foregone conclusion, but we are the best shot that the town has at surviving." ![]()

![]() Question: Do we want to make Hans 'big' before we come here? Hans shrugs his mighty shoulders. "If you think we should go over the wall, then by all means, go ahead. It might be worth going through the gate-house first, though." That is, assuming I have interpreted the map correctly...? ![]()
Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)
![]() Technically, no - an 'Unarmed Strike' is completely different to a 'Natural Attack' (which is what a beak is). That said, if our lovely GM wishes to rule otherwise, I certainly wouldn't object ;-) ![]()

![]() Fair enough. If you take the ring, then there is no need to try and upgrade your buckler ;-) List updated. I recommend an Oil of Keen Edge for each of Ting Tang and Hans, and I wouldn't mind the Protection From Acid, so that I have *some* resistance to Acid, at least for part of one encounter ;-) ![]()

![]() So, to summarise the loot situation at present: ***EVERYONE HAS: 2237.48gp each*** Songbirds - Ting Tang
The suggestions above for Felicitas, are because she is the only spell caster in the party, and the suggestion for Ting Tang is because I know he likes shiny objects (and it is a bit too expensive to sell, in any case). Since Ting seems to like 'sword and board', I suggest he takes the +1 Acid Resistance Light Steel Shield, and Felicitas takes the Ring of Major Acid Resistance; that way, you both have some protection against acid. With the above suggestions, Ting Tang's AC will be a respectable 24 :-) I would not mind taking the Ring of Protection +2, and the Amulet of Natural Armor +2; that way, Hans' AC (when enlarged and raging), will still be a fairly respectable 22. These are, of course, only suggestions. If anyone has any better ideas, let me know :-) Also, if anyone wants to claim any of the other items, now is the time to speak, or forever hold your peace ;-) @GM Baerlie: Is there someone in town who can enchantment +1 armor / weapons? If so, we could upgrade Felicitas' armor and shield to +1, bumping her AC to 20. ![]()
Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)
![]() Well, there are only so many points to spend on ability scores, and I can't bring myself to dump Int. Moreover, they don't have many spells anyway, I can still activate wands, and the bloodline powers for the arcane bloodline are rather tasty :-) Also, Hans used to be a Barbarian - I did not want to change him *too* much ;-) ![]()

![]() Transformative? Heh. I guess they really want us to use bastard swords in this adventure ;-) Breastplate for Ting, Fullplate and sword for Hans... Who wants the bow and arrows? We can probably get some Identify spells in town to ID the items we haven't been able to determine... either way, this is a very decent haul :-) Hans whistles in appreciation when he sees the haul. "Well, that certainly looks impressive! Let's head back to town, and sort out exactly what we have...." ![]()

![]() 'Wyrmsmite' certainly has my attention :-) "Felicitas? Any idea what these items are?" Unless, of course, we can simply ask the spirit :-P Hans turns to Ting-Tang, and shrugs. "Possibly? Only one way to find out..." Once the items are carefully boxed-up, Hans heads back to the statue-chamber to check if anything has happened there. ![]()

![]() Eh. To be honest, a fighter wouldn't help - what this party is missing is a cleric (channels) or a full arcanist (wizard or sorceror - Fireball comes to mind...); both would have helped to simplify this encounter. Still, let's see how we go :-) ![]()

![]() Ummm... Four wights and a wraith? Ouch! Hans sees the foes arrayed against the party, and grins. "Alright, looks like we finally have a real challenge on our hands!" MW Cold Iron Greatsword, Rage, Inspire: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 9 + 2 + 1 = 14, for 2d6 + 13 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1, 4) + 13 + 3 + 1 = 22 damage. Well, at least it is flat-footed... ![]()

Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)
![]() Hans casts a wary eye in the direction of the statues, before his attention is drawn, inevitably, towards the sarcophagus. "Okay Ting Tang, do your thing!" Once again, standing with sword ready to provide support, if required :-) S.O.P. :-P ![]()
Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)
![]() Hans quickly follows Ting into the next room. Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26. "Hey, look! There are scrapes on the floor around the bases of the four statues... I wonder..." Once Ting clears the area of traps, Hans moves over to see if the statues can be moved. Specifically, to see if the archers can be rotated around so that they appear to be firing into the center of the room. ![]()
Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)
![]() Heeding Ting's advice, Hans moves to stand on the blue dragon mosaic, whilst waiting for Ting to open the door to the west... ...but then a thought occurs to him. "Ting Tang? Why don't you try the key we were given?" Also, Ting, don't forget to update your gear with the sword and the ring :-) ![]()
Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)
![]() Well then, Hans will wait patiently (sword in hand) for Ting to open them, and he will then enter the room after Ting has given it the 'all clear' - either by not finding a trap, or disabling whatever one he finds within ;-)
