I think I'd like a break from PbP, and all the Badgering. It was great playing with you all. Arkwright, you're a fantastic GM, and I really think I learned some things by watching how you ran this. Thank you all so much.

*waves hand around* Present!
Hames suddenly feels a strong urge to check the ceiling, carefully craning his head upwards.
Hames, naturally, assists with Simeon's search.
Stepping through the door, Hames proceeds to the first door on the left, gently trying the handle.
Hames puts his hand to the door, attempting to warp it. He gets singed when his efforts set off the door trap...
...but he is able to avoid the brunt of the flames. Dodging to the side, Hames quickly puts out a patch of fire on his beard and shoulder. "How troublesome," mumbles the Cleric. "As if we haven't had enough fire for the week, and to think we still have to burn this place down afterward." Hmph! It was a surprise their target hadn't managed to burn down the house himself, what with traps like these. Hames examines the door thoroughly before trying again, having noticed that the trap went off only when the knob was displaced. It seemed to him that the door's trap was magical in nature, since the fire came forth from the grain itself. If that's the case... All that could be done was to fight the door's magic with that of Apsu's creative power, and so, reaching out a second time, he attempts to break the handle with his Artificer's Touch.
Hames reaches out his hand and attempts to woodshape the door.

"The coast is clear, I think." Hames picks himself up off the floor, taking a quick look around to consider what the party should be doing next. He figures it would probably be a good idea to try and head up the stairs a second time, but knowing that the sneaky-type stuff isn't his forte, Hames looks to Simeon and gestures towards the steps.
Watching his companions from his vantage point on the floor, Hames stays put and silent like the others. It couldn't hurt to give it a little while before moving around again.

Hames closes the window and latches it (basically restoring it to how they found it), before laying flat underneath it. He hopes the guards will think the sound they heard was the lock falling apart due to decay and hitting the ground. "Everyone, away from the window!", says Hames in a hushed whisper [Inspiring Command, everyone gets +2 to Skill checks, among other things]
"I can give it a try, actually." Hames approaches the lock on the window, reaching out and touching it, a surge of divine magic passing through his finger.
Sorry I haven't been posting. I've been kinda sick recently.
Hames chimes in after Dieuwer. "I'll do it!" He moves quickly towards the door (unless someone else in the party speaks an objection), knocking loudly on its wooden surface.
Hames votes to go with Simeon's plan.
"How do you propose we go about the guard business?"
"They'll be fine," says Hames, dismissively. "We have all the information we need. Now we just need to put it to action." The Cleric crosses his arms briefly, stroking his beard. "We could gain entrance. Just say these Blackjacks here sent us. Or.. perhaps we could blackmail Anders with his lover, make him grant us an audience."

Hames helps, but says nothing as the group negotiates.
Hames touches Simeon on the shoulder, then looks back at the Accountant.
Hames gives Simeon as small nod
Hames follows Gabriela and Simeon's lead. Stepping forward, he gently pushes Simeon away from the accountant, who he gives a word of warning. "Be reasonable, sir. I can only control my friend for so long. You don't even want to know what he did with the last few people he got his hands on."
Then he adds as an afterthought, "I heard your employer is interested in the arts?"
I've kept my silence for too long, I have to admit something to the party.. You all know that Hames worships Apsu, but if you read Hames' background you'll see that he's more like a snake than the dragons he worships. He even has Snake Style as a feat. You might have noticed how he has a little anti-Badger Lord sentiment (that he has kept under wrap so far). And you know how Hames is always the last one to come down? (Inspiring Command [Standard], all allies within 30 ft. gain a +2 insight bonus on attack rolls, AC, combat maneuver defense, and skill checks for 1 round.) "Take their attention off of Gabriela, Simeon!" (Combat Advice, Simeon gains a +2 competence bonus on his next attack roll against one of the mercs.)

Oh, sorry~ I wasn't feeling particularly good last night, so I was concise. Touch of Law is a Standard Action and the +2 comes from Hames' feat Combat Advice which is a Move Action.
Hames infuses Simeon with the power of Law (Touch of Law) and gives him combat advice for the nearest guard [Simeon gets +2 competence bonus on his next attack roll, and he can treat all attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws for this round as if the natural d20 roll resulted in an 11.]
Sounds good. Hames will be next to Simeon. He can give Simeon a 'Take 11' on the Intimidate check OR a +2 insight bonus on attack rolls, AC, combat maneuver defense, and skill checks for 1 round. Pick what you'd like~
Hames quietly slips away from the Glazier, seeing his fellow party members take off after the group.
That's a tough one.. Hames might go, but only if Gabriela goes. Also, I just realized that we haven't put too much thought into how we're going to make this all Badger Lord-ish.
Hames strokes his chin, "In that case, can I buy a window right now? My friend needs one for a particular dance she's doing. If you're commercial you surely have a display piece or two. Oh, and can I get your name and the name of your business? She'll want to know."

Hames is quite interested in the glazier trade, smiling and nodding, but the Cleric is on a mission. He uses his skill with language to try and seamlessly turn the tide of the conversation, giving him a chance to speak. "Speaking of noble houses, have you done any work on the house over yonder?" Hames points to Anders house across the way. "I saw a piece that looks remarkably similar to yours. I was wondering if you would accompany me to take a closer look at it, since you might know the man who lives inside. I hear he has quite the taste in art, and I was kind of hoping to meet him. I'm a martial artist, and I have a friend staying with me who's an excellent dancer."
His eye briefly wanders to the armed men at the doors of the house. Hames notes the symbols on their chest and their appearance.

Hames stands at the glazier's and asks how the glass business is going.
Hames comes down last, as usual, arriving just in time to pick up the jist of the party's plans. Offering no insights of his own, he simply nods and smiles, "Just tell me where you want me."
My computer situation is also a bit weird right now. Basically restricted to an iPhone. It'll be kind of hard to post and definitely harder to look up spells, rules, and such.
Hames reports this to the party, "It would seem that there is no demonic influences, or at least not anything I can sense from out here." He takes a moment to ponder and consider possible plans of action. "It would seem to me that the man isn't worried about the consequences of betraying the Badger Lord. The house is seemingly unguarded, and he's putting on that play," says Hames, pausing. He opens his mouth to speak but silences himself, and it is with considerable difficult that he utters his next words "I will defer to the rest you for planning this affair. Just know that I am capable of fighting without weapons; I have training."
Hames approves of Gabriela and Simeon's responses, noting Dieuwer's lack of response. Leaving the gold behind gives the Cleric some peace, and Gabriela's coin toss causes him to bow in thanks. Before accompanying the others, he makes a small prayer. -- At the manor, Hames carefully examines the house, his senses emanating outwards as he focuses. "Isn't Anders a servant of Asmodeus?" (cast Detect Demon)
Hames gives up, defeated. With a sigh, he turns back to the rest of the party, a wry smile on his face, "It seems the flames have claimed their share of the spoils." Bending over, Hames helps Simeon from off the floor. "I am sorry, friend. It is my fault that you have been scorched so often by these flames. I should have consulted Apsu's divine guidance more frequently, being more timid during the riddles, and more aggressive in warning you about the chest." "There was a fog over my mind earlier, but it has lifted now and I will speak freely," Hames clears his throat, "I believe it was a mistake to try and rob this tomb, and combined with our earlier slaughter, it's clear to me that we are being looked upon dis-favorably by the gods. Think, all the signs were there: The dragon on the entrance, a mark of Apsu;
Hames pauses, grimly, before continuing. "And who among us took the fullest extent of the flames? It was Simeon and I who were punished most severely. Simeon for committing the murders, and I for failing to properly guide this group. Take the wand if you will, but I demand that we offer prayers and that the gold be left behind as recompense for the gods we have offended."
Hames is about to say something; a word of warning; but before he can open his mouth, Simeon flips open the chest and a trap is set off. The Cleric gasps as he watches the flames consume the chest's contents, and he rushes forward in an attempt to save them. "Don't touch anything! Get away!", the Cleric cries. Standing over the chest, he waves his hands and makes a plea to almighty Apsu, Maker of All. For if the Waybringer could fashion the Heavens with his will, then perhaps he may allow some sort of document to be restored from ashes (Mending).
