Guujaaw will fully participate in honouring the fallen, making sure that they are given appropriate rites and treated honourably.

Days later, he will take his leave of his companions

"The time for us to part has come. I am close to my own people and it is time for me to return to the Haida.

I will take word to them of America, of the Elves, of all that I have seen. I'm sure that sometime, probably soon, America will come to our land. Hopefully I will then be able to act as an intermediary between our people, ensuring that they too can join this America peacefully.

Thank you all. It was a great honour fighting at your side.

Perhaps our paths will again cross. I hope that is so"

I'm presuming this is intended as the end. Thanks a lot, lots of fun

Guujaw watches awestruck and starts singing a hymn of praise to the Gods of his people in a nearly inaudible voice.

"It also needs to be emphasized that there is NOT an immediate danger of the elves being all slain or anything like that. It is certainly quite possible the the elves will be able to win without the shellmound"

"Although perhaps at a much higher cost"

"Most importantly, we are here in peace.

I am of the People. We live north of here. Perhaps you have met some of them? I think you call them Haida.

These others are from America, the land to the East. I'll let them explain why they're here."

"I know these people at least a little. Some of them traded with my tribe. But I'm surprised that they are this far south. Be careful, they're not evil but some can (or, at least, were) quick to anger and very protective of their religion. Which, while like yours, is also different. Oh, and if they offer you a drink take it but don't drink too much of it. It has a HUGE kick to it"

Male Human L5 Haida Witch raised by Orcs HP 36/38 | AC 10 T 10 FF 10 | Fort +3 Ref +1 Will +4 | Init +0 | Per +0

Good question :-). Still way too far south to be the Haida :-(

We seem to be losing steam :-(.

Yes, we ask around the village if they are having any difficulties that we can help them with.

If not
"My path from here lies to the north. You've now made it to the Great Water. Do you wish to return back to your people with what you know or continue to explore to the north?"

"We come in peace. My companions are searching for places where their people can hopefully settle. WITH the agreement of anybody who is still there, of course. While I am helping them on that my mission is more personal. I am planning on heading back to my people, the Haida. They dwell on the shore of the Great Water some hundreds of miles to your north. I have spent most of my life apart from them, it is time for me to return"

Guujaaw follows the others. When entering the council, he greets them with the respectful gestures that a Haida would give to his elders AND bows like an American would

A look of hope fills Guujaaws eyes.

"As you can probably tell, I am not originally from the Allied Territories. I'm hoping that this Bay reaches to the Great Water and that you have perhaps heard of my people, the Haida? They live on the shore near to the Great Water, some hundreds of miles to the north of here. Maybe you recognize my language"

Haida:
It would be wonderful if you knew what I am not saying

Guujaaw is struck silent by the site. Surely this is the same ocean that his people live on.

He starts to chant in a sing song voice

Haida:

"Spirits of my people, hear me. I thank you for bringing me back here to the Great Water, close to where you live and where live my people. The trip has been long but you have never abandoned me and I have never forgotten you.

Spirits of this place, hear me. Thank you for letting me see the Great Water again. I beseech you to let me pass on just a little further, just a little way more until I can again get to my people."

It actually sounds like some kind of blink spell to me. But I'll let the GM decide what the CHARACTER actually thinks (probably MUCH more important :-))

"Magic weapons certainly help when fighting ghosts. But if its an entire squad of ghosts we're better off running. Or talking. That is a fight we cannot win"
