![]() DM Stormwind - I just recently found out that a character can have several archtypes so Ill look into the Scout. I said in my initial post that I'd be writing his background. This guy was made for a darker game where there was no alignment. and Ill be recrunching the Armor also. Will have him recrunched tonight. ![]()
![]() Character roughed in for review. Will take the time to spend the rest of his cash if/when he's accepted. Now to answer some questions... 1. What can you bring to our organization? Pure professionalism. Which is lacking if what Ive seen so far is standard. Otherwise a quick wit packed behind quicker steel. 2. Why should we trust you? Hahaha! Good one. 3. What future do you see with us? A long and prosperous one littered with the bodies of your enemies and fat with coin...well, as long as there is coin. How much am I being paid again? 4. How religious are you? Im not. I believe in myself. Are we gonna debate philosophy or get to work? 5. Your target is sitting in his study smoking a pipe. Next to him is his prized warhound. Across from him his maid is quietly dusting the mantle of the well lit fireplace where a blaze is going brightly on top of the stone floor of the hearth. Thus far you are unseen. What do you do? What any self respecting assassin would do. Bring you proof of a job well done. No plan lasts beyond the first move and after that opportunity dictates the action. But you know this already. ![]()
Male Half Elf Rogue - Knife Master - 1
![]() Grym was back to his stoic self as he walked over and retrieved his knife from the scaly man's back. He cleaned the blade on the Bucket's shirt unceremoniously and rejoined the group as Ember was asking for the pistol theyd found. I have one you can have as well Embrianna. He'll open his magic pouch and pull out the two barrelled dragon pistol, loaded with a dragon's breath cartridge and hand it over to the
We ready? After you Thels. ![]()

![]() ...why the hell are they all just standing there?... Since his pals were evidently lost in deep thought; Grym acted out of hatred for the snake man and years of honed reactions. His hand whipped and a knife flew through the dark at Busket. Knife attack - 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 Damage - 1d4 + 1 + 2d8 ⇒ (4) + 1 + (8, 3) = 16 Crit Confirmation - 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 1 = 19 Crit Damage - 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 Satisfaction at the knife sinking into the vile lizard's back lit the half elf's face for the briefest of seconds. This would be one kill he would enjoy. He turned to the group. Y'all need to wake up. We've got serious business to do and y'all are standing around like a bunch of meek milk drinkers. Initiative - 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 ![]()

![]() He smiled but no mirth touched the gesture as he grabbed a hand full of Pete's hair. Eh, you're right bub. I don't care. I was mainly speaking for my pals who for the most part are cut of much more generous cloth than me. Maybe you should've pleaded with them instead of antagonizing me. Too late for that though... He jerked the man's head back and smoothly ran his knife across Pete's neck. http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat#coup-de-grace]Coup de Grace Damage - 2d4 + 2 + 2d8 ⇒ (2, 3) + 2 + (3, 2) = 12 He let the man's body droop to the ground as another distant shot rang out. Thels, can you find where that shot came from? ![]()
Male Half Elf Rogue - Knife Master - 1
![]() Grymblade grimaced at Pete's assumption of the group and he almost threw a knife right into the man's soft throat just for voicing it. No Pete, we're very much quite unlike you. There aint enough coin in all of the Noose to get us to join up with a revolution that'll see alot of innocent folk get killed... The distant gunshots stayed his hand however. It could very well be that Ember. We need to move and fast. What to do with these two? We can't leave them behind and we're getting to a point where we risk them giving us away. It was pretty clear from the flashing knife what was on the half elf's mind. ![]()
Male Half Elf Rogue - Knife Master - 1
![]() The half elf sat on his haunches idly spinning one of his knives in his palm. Dont move too fast there Pete. We'd sure hate to have to stick you again. Well, not really but you get the picture. Tell us what you know of Slate and his camp and just maybe you'll see the sunrise. Which cant be said for your pals. Intimidate - 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 ![]()
Male Half Elf Rogue - Knife Master - 1
![]() The half elf looked through the pile of spoils with something close to disdain. ...no gold? doesnt Slate pay these men?.. He nodded to Thels as the man moved out to search for tracks and sunk to haunches beside sleeping Pete. We have another option beside tracking prints to the camp if Thels cant find any. He pulls the signal horn from his bag and holds it up. We just need to convince Pete here to tell us the correct signal and we could lure a group of his men here and ambush them. This will prevent us from taking on the whole camp. Thoughts? ![]()
Male Half Elf Rogue - Knife Master - 1
![]() The half was very, very surprised that the man could notice a different set of footprints than his companions in the middle of a camp at night no less ...That man has eyes like an damn owl ... He struck at the helpless sleeping man beside him figuring that he might finish him off. He cursed having his prints spotted as he knew he could have killed the man outright with enough time. Sleeping man's Dex is considered 0 and Grym gets a +4 attack vs Prone plus sneak Damage Attack - 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 4 = 17 Damage - 1d4 + 1 + 2d8 ⇒ (2) + 1 + (4, 7) = 14 Initiative - 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 As his knife plunged into the man's chest; Grym appeared in the camp with a wicked grin on his face. This is exactly the kind of scenario that he lived for. ![]()
Male Half Elf Rogue - Knife Master - 1
![]() The half elf whispers to Mord. They have a signal horn I think. Im gonna disappear and grab it. You'll know soon after when to strike. Grym will reach into his pouch, pull forth the Potion of Invisibility and quaff it. Cautiously moving in, he goes straight for the horn. Stealth - 1d20 + 13 + 20 ⇒ (4) + 13 + 20 = 37 He'll then attempt to swipe the horn without notice and slip it into his Bag of Holding. Sleight of Hand - 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21 = Perception DC to Notice ![]()
Male Half Elf Rogue - Knife Master - 1
![]() The sneak thief got down off his trusty horse and tied its reigns loosely in case the steed needed to bolt to save its life. He eyed the lizard man with blatant distrust. Intimidate - 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 If you are leading us into a trap or I think that youll give us up at any point then my knife will find your neck. Take heed. I do not usually warn my prey. Sense Motive - 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26 He'll guage ole Scales before replying to the group. We kill everyone we see from here out. We cant afford to leave any enemies on our back trail. We should surround the patrol and ambush. When the first one falls make your move. Stealth - 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27+2 for Thels bonus
As they melt into the shadows Grymblade is very impressed with how his pals move as silent as the mooons rays on the chaparra. ...well is except for Ember...that woman could wake the dead... he chuckled to himself and moved to flank around the patrol motioning to Mordechai to follow him as Thels and Boss had split west. ![]()
Male Half Elf Rogue - Knife Master - 1
![]() Grym listened to the man's uncouth reprisal of what happened and wasnt surprised to hear about the betrayals going on in Slate's camp. He spit to the side of his horse and adjusted his seat in the saddle. He was much more comfortable on his own two feet. Well we already have a guide. Old slimy scales here is leading us to some sort of hidden path to Slate. I reckon you two know each other? Either way Im going to let Ember decide your fate. He was suspiciosu of the man none the less and split his attention between him and Pissbucket. ![]()
Male Half Elf Rogue - Knife Master - 1
![]() murderer? ...There is more to this story than meets the eye... At the mention of another knife thrower; the half elf started realyl paying attention. He had a reputation with his blades and he'd jump at the chance to take down a competitor. Especially if the man was pals with this Jerras. He trusted Ember's judgement so that put this low life waay down on his 'let live' list. ![]()
Male Half Elf Rogue - Knife Master - 1
![]() Well Pissbucket, if you aint gonna answer my questions then I dont see much reason to keep you breathing. I have half a mind to slit your throat right now....what have we here? The Meskal and the situation had Grym in a somewhat foul temper so he couldnt really concentrate on the 3 figures approaching. Perception - 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16 ![]()
Male Half Elf Rogue - Knife Master - 1

Anything unclaimed Grym will keep in his Bag of Holding. Ember - Masterwork repeating rifle with 4 bullets capacity

![]() Grym put his hand to his brow to shade it from the Great Eye as he looked for what his pals were talking about. Vultures werent rare out here at all but this close to their destination brought about a degree of caution. He turned towards their captive. Whats over there Scaly Kind? ![]()
Male Half Elf Rogue - Knife Master - 1
![]() Sneaky indeed. Grym's brow furrowed and he studied the scaly man intently. Sense Motive - 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11 and shrugged with doubt. We're burning daylight. We either use the snake's trail and get the jump on Slate, set up an ambush for when they attack the town or return to town and stand with the civilians. I say we go for Slate now.
