I'm very sorry for the delay in posting. Unfortunately I won't be able to continue my PBP games. I am in the process of moving back to the US from Canada, and likely wont be able to post regularly for 2+ months. I'm sorry that I could not leave at the end of the module, but life had other plans.

I want to thank everyone in the game, I have had a great time. I am sad to leave. I hope to possibly see you all again in future games once my life is back in order.

Congrats! We also have news, my wife just defended her PhD! Sorry for the delay, I kept meaning to open my laptop to post, but it has been hectic. We are home now, and I should be fine for the next weeks.

Also, yea. I always have javelins on Grok.

So, the Armor of Red Iron is neat, but unfortunately it is half-plate. I am set up to wear full plate and I'm not sure it is worth the AC loss.

Unless Haldhin wants to hand wave yet another change for me...
Which I would totally understand if he did not want to do

I'd also be willing to carry it to a town to have some arms and such added to it at a cost.

Grok nods in approval.

"THANK YOU."

Can Grok will the hammer to be large sized even for a medium character? He does have the blood of giants after all.

If so, I'd also like to retrain a feat if possible, to change from weapon focus greatsword to earthbreaker. (Either magic GM poof, or following retraining rules works for me)

I think it would make for more thematic fun to be using a named weapon from the module, if possible.

"I SEE NO THREAT IN THIS."

Grok then looks around to the others for agreement. Still holding the half orc tightly.

Grok waits for the orc, and Katrezra's, replies before acting.

Grok looks around to the rest of the group, checking to see if they are satisfied with the results of the interrogation.

"What do we do with him now? We can't let him free to wreak more havoc."

Sorry for the delay, I've been lurking but not too able to post

Grok restrains Skreed, allowing Racket to do the questioning.

HP: 8/31, AC22

Grok steps towards racket(O6) and swings at the woman again.

attack w/ combat expertise: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 7 - 1 = 20
damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4) + 6 = 16

I think it is quite early to worry about TPK. Grok can take another hit or so, and both players with heal wands are still up.

HP: 8/31, AC22

Grok takes a swing at the orc.

attack w/ combat expertise: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 7 - 1 = 17
damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5, 3) + 6 = 17

HP: 16/31

Grok double moves up to O5 and holds his sword up menacingly at her.

Grok is fairly agnostic. He does a nod towards all good deities fairly evenly.

HP:17/31

Grok carefully swings at the wolf again.

attack w/ combat expertise: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 7 - 1 = 22
damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2, 1) + 6 = 13

He then takes a step diagonally next to the other wolf.

Grok draws his massive sword and swings at the wolf.

attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2) + 6 = 15

Grok smiles and looses a javelin from his shoulder.

"LET'S HAVE SOME FUN. THEY CAN COME TO US."

He then hurls it at the female orc.

attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 - 1 = 20
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

I find it funny that, in giant, you are basically Groot."

Grok gives a grunt, a nod, lowers his weapon and moves forward towards where the troll was gesturing.

Grok, in unusually boisterous and gutteral speech responds to the troll.

giant:
"WHO IS SKREED? GIVE ME A GOOD REASON TO KILL HIM AND I WILL END HIM AND NOT YOU."

Grok runs in to fight the bird with Zavier.

attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 = 23
damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3) + 6 = 19

Grok looks to Katrezra and nods with a grunt.

perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Grok moves into the cave and waits for others.

I'm happy to continue, I think this is going great. I would prefer an interactive map on something like google drawings, but it is not a big deal to me.

I personally think we have a fairly balanced party and good players. 4 players is great, I like small parties. I prefer to only add more if someone had a friend that wanted to join, rather than adding just for the sake of having more players.

Grok continues towards the cave. Double move, 40' total.

of course the giant.

"I CAN GIVE YOU A CLEAN DEATH, IF NOTHING ELSE."

coup de grace: 6d6 + 12 ⇒ (5, 3, 5, 4, 2, 4) + 12 = 35

He then takes a step towards the cave.

"RACKET, CHECK IT OUT. I'LL CATCH UP."

Let's try this again.

attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 6 + 1 + 2 = 26
damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6) + 6 = 15

Grok continues to swing his enormous blade.

attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 6 + 2 + 1 = 29
confirm: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 6 + 2 + 1 = 24
CRIT damage: 6d6 + 12 ⇒ (4, 3, 1, 5, 5, 4) + 12 = 34

Grok steps up to flank with Racket, then swings.

attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 6 + 1 + 2 = 25
damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1) + 6 = 10

Grok moves up to Z24 and tries to finish off the last orc.

attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 1 = 21
damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5) + 6 = 20

HP: 20/31

"KATREZRA, TRY TALKING TO IT IN ORC."

Grok moves to AB21 and swings at the orc.

attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 1 = 20
damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5, 1) + 6 = 15

I have an interesting problem. I don't want to persuade the giant, but instead be completely honest and open. Can I specifically take a 1 or 0 on bluff so that it is obvious I have no hidden agenda?

Grok steps forward and attempts to cut down one of the orcs. While he does so he shouts in giant: "KILL THE MASTERS WE WILL SET YOU FREE, BROTHER."

His usual low growl of a voice unleashes to its full avalanche of noise.

Move to X19 and attack Orc 1

attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 6, 5) + 6 = 18

Grok double moves to X16.

Grok rumbles out a phrase in a deep guttural tone.

He then waits for the puzzled look on Zavier's face and states:

"THAT MEANS 'PLEASE DON'T HIT ME WITH THAT BIG CLUB'."

Grok smiles and continues forward.

"I WILL ASK THE GIANT IF HE WANTS HELP."

Grok then heads towards the lake, double move. 40'

Grok drops the catapult wherever it was when the giant is mentioned.

Grok draws his giant-sized blade and mutters quietly to the sword.

"IT IS TIME YOU LEARNED THE HORRORS OUR PEOPLE CHOOSE TO BE."

He then heads quickly towards the hopespring.

Grok abstains from vote, so that may as well be 3.

Grok continues dragging.

Grok leaves the others to whatever methods of questioning they choose, he would rather not join. He continues moving the catapult.

"FIND OUT IF THERE ARE MORE COMING."

Grok will tie up the leader then help drag the catapult into the walls so that it can be used against future attackers.

Grok keeps on swinging. This time at the top, singed, orc.

attack + combat ref: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 6 - 1 = 22
damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 5, 2) + 6 = 19

Grok activates Katrezra's blessing for AC.

HP: 25/31
AC: 23

He then finishes off 'his' orc. Not sure if Racket killed it, if so, redirect as needed. Flank not included in attack roll.

attack + combat ref: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 6 - 1 = 19
damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2, 3) + 6 = 14

Derp, forgot to do damage. This is what I get for posting before coffee.

damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 1, 4) + 6 = 16

Grok drops the table, grabs his weapon in two hands, and attacks #1.

attack + combat expertise : 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 7 - 1 = 20

AC: 22
HP: 31/31

Sounds good

init: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

He moves up to G5 and takes another full defense.

HP 31/31
AC 25 + tower shield not included

That's fine. It works for me.

Grok soldiers on (Total Def + 20ft move). As they get closer he shouts and bangs on the shield to draw their attention away from the second group.

I think the groups might be reversed on the map. I was intending to run up the middle. I think Racket might be stealthing around the outside?

Grok continues to move up. Total defense and 20ft movement.
