Grognak, feeling uneasy, draws his longsword and uses it to probe the hay pile to make sure it is as it seems. Perception:: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 "Maybe they were just lazy and didn't feel like hauling in a big log to support the roof? Or maybe they wanted to keep these big stones out of sight."

Forgot about a Perception check for inside the house... Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 "Thank you for your help. I hope something in there can help us clear your husband's name and find whoever's really responsible," Grognak says as he nods toward the barn. He stands abruptly after glancing at his companions and heads outside to investigate the barn, looking over the exterior of the building closely before suggesting they check inside. Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Hadn't even looked at anyone's Charisma scores until now. I guess our party face will be the guy in the mask by default when Frederick's not around.
"You never seen anyone strange sneaking around before the fields went bad? Or you heard anyone else saying they seen suspicious people about?" Grognak asks Diana, looking again toward the barn as she mentions the carved stones.
As he finishes and awaits Diana's response, Grognak starts leaning toward the door, ready to investigate the barn. He wasn't much for conversation, especially with strangers in such strange circumstances.

With the more charismatic members of the party staying silent, Grognak does his best to move the conversation along and get useful information from Linkon's wife. "Diana, is it? Did the fields turn black before they took Linkon away? Doesn't make sense to me for a real witch to ruin their own land." "Has Siri been involved in accusing everyone that's been accused so far? Someething didn't seem right about her."

Grognak motions to the barn and silo as they await a response from inside. "Looks like the witches missed a spot over there," he mentions to the others just before the young woman comes to the door. Once the woman introduces herself as the house maid, Grognak wonders aloud, "I don't recall Linkon saying nothing about having no house maid..." Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 5 "Only person he mentioned besides his wife was that girl she was teaching how to sew and such. The one we saw in town after that trial."

My Friday wasn't all consecutive, but it was still rough. 6 a.m to about noon, then I had to go back at 4 p.m. and didn't get home until almost 3 a.m. with 4+ hours of driving involved in that span. And since I'm crazy, I got up before 6 a.m. Saturday and went hunting all day. Hoping we get the gameplay going again soon. Haven't had a post from Dariel in a while either.

Grognak shifts uneasily as the group awaits a response from inside the house to Terwyn's knocking. "Why would she leave the door open like that? he asks quietly. "Especially after they hauled her husband away to jail and accused him of being a witch..." His eyes dart around the homestead as he looks around the sides of the building and tries to see into the house hoping to better evaluate his surroundings. Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

I worked 15 hours today and the site is blocked at my office. Posting from mobile with formatting is a pain so if I don't post much in the game thread during role play parts of the campaign just chalk it up to my character being the quiet type. I'll try to at least post something in here if I want to suggest something when I can't post from a proper computer. I'd just say we should be cautious around linkon's house. With him locked up, his wife and home seem like they'd be vulnerable.

"You must suspect someone of being a witch if you're so sure there's a witch causing the fields to go bad," Grognak says to Linkon. "Telling us a name or two might help. Only people we know are you, Siri and that judge that's out to hang you." "Maybe if Siri knows what Linkon just told us and thinks we'll tell the town about it, she'll want to be a little more helpful?"

"I'm coming," Grognak answers as Nevaal's question snaps him out of his distracted state. He couldn't stop thinking about the woman hung from the tree. She didn't look like a witch, he kept thinking. "Nevaal," he whispered quietly as they approached the door, "You think she was really a witch? I never seen one before, but I didn't think they'd look like... her. She just looked like a normal woman." Sorry about the delay. Had an extra long day at work yesterday and the Paizo boards are blocked on our network. As the group enters the manor, Grognak sticks to the back, trying to stay as inconspicuous as a towering half-orc can in such a situation. If they're already thirsty for witch blood, it likely won't take much to turn them against a half-blood.

"When we leaving? Maybe if we take long enough, they'll run out of people to burn. Problem solved," Grognak grins at his own joke, then furrows his brow suddenly as another thought comes to him. "I never seen a witch before," he mutters quietly, to no one in particular.

Just want to make sure I don't have too much stuff. I currently have:
I wasn't sure whether we had to choose either a sword or axe and either a bow or daggers or if we could take one of each. I can drop things no problem. Still coming up with my character's flavor item.
I'm interested. Tweaking my character sheet on Myth-Weavers now and putting it into my profile eventually. |
