The large beast raises its nose to the air. He smells the recent kills upon you. " "You speak the truth this time, mycophagist. Your cause is noble and it is my honor to help with this. But, there is one more thing. A little thing I thought I could resist. There is one thing I like more than ironbloom mushrooms. You smell heavily of it. As if you have been riding it for days. I even smell its excrement on one of you...hiding your true scent, are you, woodsman? Bring me the pony and you shall have what you came for."


"The murderers have returned. How goes the housekeeping?"


The worg growls at the jester as he patronizes his consort and him while exiting the room. I look forward to eating that yankee.

"Before you go...there must be a medic among your party. Now that we are partners, my consort could use some healing. It was your jester that did wound her."


"You want my prized ironbloom mushrooms for a noble cause. They are one of my favorite delicacies. I could part with them, but you must first do me a favor. The crucible could use some housekeeping. The darkmantles need to go. They can only cast darkness once per day and it only lasts a few moments. They should be easy prey now. There is a spider in the watchtower to the southeast and a few bats in the fallen portion to the northeast. I am certain your insulting jester will enjoy these tasks. Do this housework for me and I shall let you have the mushrooms. Do we have an agreement, mycophagist?"


While awaiting his answer, the large worg looks at the jester. He salivates. Drool hits the floor.


"I can assure you it is ironbloom. What is this great need of ironbloom you speak of? I only know it for its sweet flavor."


Greypelt chuckles at Reinar's comment. "I see you brought along a jester for entertainment. You are welcome to test that theory, jester. Unlike you, I eat what I kill. Be gone from my presence before I declare today a feast!"


The worg glances down at his mushroom patch and back to Rhen. "You are rather violent for mushroom pickers. I suppose you would kill me for the blooms if it were within your power. Take your search elsewhere. You are the first dwarf I have seen in these halls. They were long gone when I arrived."


Everyone is shaken for one round if we move into initiative.

a little diddy for you

Suddenly a large worg springs up from its resting place on the toppled column. It snarls and growls at you, showing its large fangs.

He raises his nose and smells the air about him. As he speaks, you hear a loud deep growling voice say....

"I smell the kobold named Gurtlekep on you. His blood as well. He meant nothing to me. I smell the murderers met the darkmantles in the sanctuary....no blood. Not so lucky there were you? Tell me murderers, why do you attack my consorts and disturb my peace? I am Greypelt. You trespass my lair."
Gaping holes in the roof allow faint light to enter this ruined chamber. One of the stone columns that once supported the ceiling is toppled, its broken pieces littering the floor. A thick patch of black mushrooms hides in a nearby corner, giving the room an earthy scent that is barely noticeable above the stench of wet fur.
