Ever since Complete Psionic, I've thought about a Cleric that used domains as their spell list. It always seemed a little strange to me that a evoker makes a better pyromancer than a priest of a fire god. I know that this archetype is weaksauce compared to the core cleric, but I figured it might be better to start weak and figure out how to bring it up to par instead of starting out overpowered and trying to nerf it down to something more reasonable. Language could also use some tightening up. Suggestions are welcome. Ardent Cleric (Archetype) Spells Each day when the ardent cleric prays for spells, she does not prepare spells as a cleric does. Instead, she selects two of her deity's domains. She may cast any spell from these domains, assuming she hasn't yet used up her spells per day for that level. The ardent cleric uses the same spells per day table as the arcanist. At 5th level, the ardent cleric may select a third domain each time she prepares spells, a fourth domain at 10th level, and a fifth domain at 15th level. Domains The ardent cleric is granted the domain powers of the domains she prepares when she prays for spells. Divine Spell Knowledge At 3rd level, the ardent selects one 1st level spell from the cleric spell list. She may cast this spell, assuming she hasn't yet used up her spells per day for that level. At 5th level, she may select one 2nd level spell; at 7th level, a 3rd level spell; at 9th level, a 4th level spell; at 11th level, a 5th level spell; at 13th level, a 6th level spell; at 15th level, a 7th level spell; at 17th level, a 8th level spell; and at 19th level, a 9th level spell.
So I've had this niggling notion in my head for months now for a sandbox-type game set in the World Serpent Inn, an Inn that is, in fact, a demiplane connected to all the planes, and, in this particular case, every conceivable Prime Material, from Eberron to Toril to Golarion to homebrews (information on the Inn can be found here and here for those unfamiliar with it). I'm not entirely set on what I want to do with it yet, but that's where the sandbox elements come in. Either the players are free to come and go as they please from the Inn, or at the beginning of the game, the Inn can find itself cut off from extraplanar travel, the portals that it uses to reach other worlds rendered nonfunctional. It depends on what prospective players are most interested in. Likewise, I haven't settled yet on what I want the game to be like, mechanically. 3.5, 4th, Next, Pathfinder, and even freeform are all on the table, as is level. It really depends on what prospective players are most interested in, so, if you're interested, please, speak up, tell me what you'd like! I'll update this first post as more details get hammered out, so stay tuned! Most importantly before I get this game off the ground, I very much appreciate if someone might be willing to step in as the DM in case I disappear.
Looking to run an adventure and possibly a campaign, with the primary intent of playtesting for the Mythic Rules Beta. Plot isn't set yet, and will be largely dependent on what sorts of characters prospective players are interested in playing. 1st level, 1st mythic tier. Only one member of each mythic path will be allowed in the party. I will be willing to run this for as few as 4 PCs. 6 PCs, one of each mythic path, would be ideal, however. Incorporate why your character is a mythic character into your character's backstory, please and thank you. Setting will be Golarion. All Pathfinder materials are allowed; since this is for playtest purposes, though, I will not be allowing materials from 3.5. Point Buy 25. Treasure and Experience Progression will be Medium. I'm open to questions.
The gods are dead. They have been for untold centuries now, and yet, against all odds, humanity has thrived. As time moves on, though, they become more and more divorced from their own humanity. An empire has risen: Will you be its champions, its saviors, or its destroyers? Hello, everyone, I'm Belltrap, and I'm looking to start a PbP Pathfinder game of up to 5 players in a homebrew setting I've been tinkering around with. The premise is this: For reasons now lost to time (but perhaps to be discovered by the PCs), the old gods died centuries, perhaps millennia ago. In their absence, however, humans have sought other supports: the tribes of the South worship animal totems; the elves and drow of the West have sought the patronage of the Seelie and Unseelie Courts, respectively; the kingdom of the North worships death and ancestor spirits; and the East is ruled over by majestic dragons. The strongest of all, though, the Shion Empire, resting at the center of it all, has sought the patronage of the planar lords: the Demon Princes, the Lords of the Nine, the Sarim of the Celestial Compact, and countless others. Strengthening themselves by interbreeding with outsiders and elementals over the centuries, they have created a society where purity of outsider blood is a mark of nobility, and pureblood humans are looked down upon, where magic is power, and were alliances and deals between the progeny of fiends and aasimon are made and broken every day. More details will be posted depending on the level of interest shown, and what those looking to play are interested in. Some quick logistics - I expect once the game starts that each player be able to post to the main IC thread at least once every two days, and will do my utmost to hold myself to the same standard. While lapses can and likely will occur, if there is something that will cause extended absence, I will notify the players, and expect players to extend their fellow players the same courtesy.
Additionally, the following classes and races are allowed:
Requests for material outside of this will be handled on a case-by-case basis. |
