Greetings! I have a couple of questions about this adventure. The first involves the beacons and light. On page 35 it says due to the fading light and clouds, the orcs will have concealment.

1) So if a beacon is lit, what will be the light/game effects? Will the concealment go away and if so, how far will the beacon's light have effect? The Lower Quarter only has one beacon that I can see - K, this could be crucial.

2) The adventure doesn't say how or where the orc raid begins in the first place. I was going to assume they battered the gate at the top of the map, all the way north.

I have a sorcerer PC that chose Weapon Finesse. Does he also need Martial Weapon Proficiency to use a rapier? Or Exotic Weapon Proficiency to use the spiked chain? I seem to remember reading somewhere that you could use a aldori dueling sword as a finesse weapon IF you had the Exotic Weapon Profiency feat. But the core rules don't say that about the other weapons.

I'm running Rise of the Runelords and I want Lyrie's cat Skivver to attack a PC Sorcerer's thrush if the opportunity presents itself.
Problem is, the cat can't damage anything (claw damage 1d2-4, bite damage 1d3-4). But cats kill birds all the time right?
Any suggestions on how to adjudicate this? Thanks!
