Unfortunately, I think I am going to have to bow out of this game. I'm really disappointed because it's a great group, but between the other games I'm playing, the two I'm running, and my RL campaign I can't give this one the attention it deserves. Good luck, and I'll be lurking this one, but I can't keep up with this without letting the rest of mine slack.

Happy sailing, and good luck in the New World!

"Pardon me..." Alexis pauses about 10 feet from the paladin giving him the chance to turn around without encroaching on his personal space. "I believe you met my bodyguard, Sir Elorin, but we haven't been properly introduced. Pathfinder Kirmoon of Greengold, but please, call me Alexis. Might I have the pleasure of your name?"

"The pleasure is mine, my lady," Gram says with a deep bow. "I am called Gram. Consider me at your service for the remainder of this voyage and the mission beyond. I hope to be as useful to you and to this endeavor as my superiors believe I will be."

Gram smiles warmly after the introduction, waiting to see if the lady wishes to continue.

Sense motive DC 10 -

Spoiler:
Gram is quite nervous. He's not used to moving in circles of nobility. That coupled with all the excitement of the voyage being undertaken has left him a bit out of sorts.

Taking Gram's hand, "Agreed, between you, Rath, and Biter I feel much better about the expeditions and my Ladies security. With the 3 of you in the front line, and my arrows protecting your flanks and back, the challenges that await us shouldn't be an issue. So you are a holy warrior? If you do't mind me asking ,which god do you worship?"

"I am one of the faithful of Erastil. We will all miss the comforts of hearth and home in Arcadia, but I hope to bring comfort and security wherever we find ourselves. Alas, Old Deadeye has not granted me this power, though maybe someday he will if I keep his faith." Gram pats the seasick man on the shoulder. "I'm sure you will find your sea legs soon."

Erastil. They are rare and it sounds fun.

Turning to Gram, "So can we even trust to leave our belongings downstairs with the criminals? So if they are murderers and rapists, shouldn't they be under lock and key? I am not used to this type of justice, typically we just put them to the sword."

Gram nods slowly. "If they do steal anything that does not belong to them, where will they flee? While sometimes the justice of which you speak is warranted, maybe these folk are not so far gone that they are beyond redemption. No matter, though. It is a rare pleasure to meet you, Master Elorin. We will do good work together, I am sure." The paladin extends his hand.

Gram quickly gets situated and finds himself on the deck, looking around. Obviously a little shell-shocked by the experience, the paladin rapidly recovers, and makes his way over to Falcon Gray, making his introductions and listening to what's going on around him while absorbing as much as he can.

Gram sniffs the cold, briny morning air. He allows himself a small smile as he approaches the ship that will be his home for several weeks. Having not met many of his soon to be companions, he travels to the wharf alone.

Feeling a tug on his sleeve, he turns to see a small goblin standing behind him, dressing and seeming uncharacteristic for a member of his race. Gram's eyes slowly widen as the newcomer introduces himself as a Pathfinder.

"Well met, my friend," Gram says with a warm smile, offering his hand to clasp in a warrior's handshake, "I am Gram Greynor, known as Gram. It sounds as if you and I share a common purpose. I too have been tasked with aiding and protecting the team." Gram turns his gaze to the other man speaking with Biter. "And let me extend the introduction to you as well. As a fellow woodsman and hunter I look forward to working with you on this endeavor. As far as our new friend here, I'm sure he can hold his own with that blade. The Pathfinders do not simply allow anyone into their ranks, so I'm sure he's proved his mettle."

Gram takes a deep breath. "Now I plan on getting settled into my quarters here and going about doing what I can to help. Do you care to join me Biter? Gregor?" After waiting for an answer, Gram boards the ship and looks to see what else is going on this chilly morning.

Getting my dot! First real post in the morning...must sleep now...

M Human Paladin 1

"Then sleep as well shall I," says Gram. "Rest well, Master Gray."

With that, the paladin finds a bed for a few well-deserved hours of rest.

The door to the tavern pushes open, and a man who looks to have not seen more than thirty-five summers steps in slowly.

"Master Gray, I presume? May the eyes of Erastil look well upon you this night, and always." he rumbles in a deep baritone, stepping up to the man with the graying hair and pulling out a chair. He sits slowly, removing the bound greatsword from his back and leaning it agains the weathered wood of the table.

"I apologize for my tardiness. I'm afraid the directions I had to find this...fine establishment were lacking in accuracy. I'm here now, though. It is my understanding that we will be disembarking on the morrow?"

I haven't put anything for background yet. Suffice to say Gram is soft-spoken, strong, and kind.

I'll work on the exact background as we go. We can get started...I'm sorry it's going so slow. I'm not wanting CotCT or Kingmaker to lag, so it's eating into my time. Bits and pieces...he's coming together.

Sully here. I have the placeholder. I can toss him together pretty quickly at this point. Hope to have him done tonight finally!
