Goodluck sends another sound burst at the swarm! 1d8 ⇒ 5
Goodluck casts sound burst on the swarm, dealing 1d8 ⇒ 2 damage!
Will Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Electric Tickle!: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 electrical!
Goodluk presses the attack!
Goodluck attacks with his electrical trident!
Melee Touch: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 electrical damage!
Knowledge Nature: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
Will Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Goodluck nods and readies his trident.
Not quite certain if I can get to within striking distance in one move action or not. If I can't then I'll move to flank if at all possible.
Goodluck moves into the room and uses his electrical trident as a touch attack! Melee Touch: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 electrical damage!
Goodluck watches the others rush in and holds back, casting Gozreh's trident and summoning a trident of pure electrical power.
Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Goodluck hits the vine with a holy smite!
4d8 ⇒ (2, 5, 3, 7) = 17
Congrats! May he be a blessing to you in all your days and may his dice always roll 20s!
Goodluck merely stands firm, unwilling to cast his trident at this foe.
Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Goodluck smirks at the exchange, then gestured. "I can wash dem off for you." Use create water on the pile.
Goodluck stares at the remains of the bramble creature, worried that such a thing existed at all. He shakes his head and walks toward the others. "Do you require healing?"
Oh, I definitely don't want you to think it's your skill as a DM! I think you're a great DM. This whole discussion did get me thinking about what makes a good adventure for a tabletop versus a PbP. It really seems to me to be two different genres. What could take an hour in real life gaming can be the better part of a month in a Play by Post. It really makes me think whether there would be a niche for Play by Post adventure seeds or whole adventures.
I'm definitely game to finish the module. I've enjoyed playing with everyone, but I think a large part of my dissatisfaction lays with my character choices. Goodluck's a great character for a nautical adventure, but he may have been a poor choice for a fey-based game. Which happens. The best laid plans and all.
And he's a boy. :) He just graduated Kindergarten and we had a gap between aftercare and starting summer day care. So we took off and went on adventures.
Sorry, I've been off work the past couple days due to being a Dad, and I usually check posts at work. I'm good with whatever is decided, but honestly I'm just kind of bored. I think this module is probably a lot of fun on a tabletop, but with the ebb and flow of a PbP it feels stale to me. I'm fine with going on, but if you'd like to replace me, I'm cool with that as well.
Another Holy Smite then!
Holy Smite, Batman!: 4d8 ⇒ (8, 1, 7, 5) = 21 Will DC 19 partial
Hearing Taecuss speak to the thing in a gutteral tongue, Goodluck limps up behind the entrapped duo, just out of the creature's reach. He gets ready to cast Holy Smite, should Taecuss' gambit prove unsuccessful.
Holy Smite: 4d8 ⇒ (8, 7, 4, 8) = 27 Will DC 19 partial
Goodluck will thump the plant with a sound burst!
Sonic: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Goodluck steps to H-19 and uses Punitive Transformation on the plant-beast!
Fort DC 20, then a Will DC 20 save!
Goodluck shakes his head as he sees the thorny thing. "So much per'version of nature here. Gozreh would not be pleas'd wit' dis."
Goodluck steps forward to J-18, unslinging his trident.
Sorry, this thread got hidden when I tried to hide a bunch of stuff I guess. Sorry!
Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Goodluck sighs with relief as the swarm and giants bee leaves. He moves towards his companions, glancing over them to check for injuries.
Dude, no problems. I imagine the RPG Superstar build up is also a factor, which is totally cool. And thanks for the PM!
Yes, I'm more aiming to kill the swarms, if at all possible. I figure they're the worst threat right now. Tenzi can be killed subsequently.
Goodluck steps to the east to get out of the swarm. He holds his hand aloft and calls upon Gozreh's might, casting holy smite defensively emanating from himself.
Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 If I can't move, I'll simply cast where I am, if I can
Cast Defensively: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28
Damage: 4d8 ⇒ (2, 1, 5, 2) = 10 Will Save DC 19.
I'm pushing 13. My kingdom for a flame strike.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Fort Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Goodluck, seeing the gnome's choice, shrugs. "May Gozreh have mercy on you, gnome. I will not." He readies to cast wall of ice again, this time a hemisphere designed to trap the swarm of bees as soon as they are close to the ground.
Goodluck merely shrugs. "You choose who you serve, gnome. You ken do good here, or you ken do the will of the Queen. We will stop 'er. Choose."
Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Goodluck has already headed over there and started the rebuilding effort! He'll keep one eye on the ice dome, in case he needs to recast it.
SR overcoming: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
Seeing the golden archers appear from Taecuss's magic, Goodluck points at the one in E8 and in a booming voice: "By Gozreh's hand, you are remade!"
Punitive transformation: as baleful polymorph (into a bird), for 9 rounds, Fort Save DC 20, Will Save DC 20
Goodluck looks at Taecuss, assessing his wounds. Heal: 1d20 ⇒ 19
"We oughta get da faengard built b'fore the bees escape." Saying this, he heads over to the breach to begin rebuilding.
Okay, Goodluck casts Wall of Ice, centered over the swarm. I can't tell from the description if they get a Reflex save or not, but the DC is 19 if they do...
Goodluck ponders the situation, then seeing Taecuss move out from the under the bees, decides upon his course.
Delay, holding action until Taecuss gets out of the bee swarm's space. Then cast Wall of Ice on the swarm, hemisphere version to trap the icy beasties.
Always happy to expand your GM horizons! ;)
Goodluck steps through the hedge, having convinced himself of its illusory nature. He moves 30 feet toward Taecuss the bee-covered. He touches his birthmark, praying to Gozreh to hear his call. Looking toward the sky, he summons as mcuh water as he can, directly overtop the bee-covered Taecuss.
Casting create water over Taecuss in an effort to disperse the swarm somewhat.
Goodluck frowns, poking the thorns carefully.
Will save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Goodluck will move to H-9 and ready his wall of ice spell. He will wait until the bees are away from the faengard and cast it upon them, trapping as many of them as he can.
"Well, Gozreh has graced me wit' a prayer to create a dome o' ice over somet'ing. I t'ink it would trap dem bees nice for a few minutes at least. Long 'nuff to rebuild the wall and get away, I hope."
Goodluck looks somewhat appraisingly at the elf. "If you ken get dem away, I ken do sometin' about dem, I t'ink."
Goodluck gets ready to cast wall of ice in the hemisphere configuration to trap the swarm.
"Bees? Again, Didn't we already play dis game?" Goodluck groans, remembering the wedding attack.
"If you require healin', just ask."
While the hacking and acid splashes flow, Goodluck sees to the souls of the trolls and Avorleigh, saying a short prayer that Gozreh return their souls and bodies to the cycle of nature once more.
I have the spark cantrip. If I cast it a lot can I burn the nasty troll?
Once more, Goodluck charges the living troll!
